Five women. A mountain safehouse. A crime family that never stops hunting.
We evaded the Bellantes once. Now we were buried deep in the mountains, waiting for the next move. I was surrounded by four women who would do anything to keep me safe.
Kara. Ellie. Cam. Alex. My bodyguards. My protectors.
Inside, it looked almost like a normal life. Games. Routine. Watch rotations that never stopped.
I almost believed in it. But the rules were absolute. Someone was always watching.
Obsession. Possession. Control.
The world we left behind hadn’t stopped moving. The investigation was building. The Bellantes were still out there. Every day we stayed, the pressure tightened.
Surveillance. Seduction. Surrender.
This was never going to end quietly. And if the Scorpions finally caught up to us…
it wouldn’t be on our terms.
Secure Their Fates is a sapphic why-choose dark bodyguard romance with morally grey protectors, forced proximity, high heat (without cheating), hurt/comfort, found-family vibes, and a journalist who chooses them all again. HFN ending with no romantic cliffhanger—Sabine and her bodyguards will find their HEA in book three.
Stella Rowe writes emotionally charged sapphic dark romance and erotica with a focus on desire, dominance, and the ache to be seen.
Her stories blend heat with heart, whether it's a slow burn with bite or a hypnotic spiral into surrender.
She lives in the Arizona desert and writes with equal parts tenderness and fire.
As an aside, a few of the books listed here on Goodreads are from 2015 and long unpublished, but I cannot remove them. Also, I have begun to move older erotica to the pen name "SJ Rowe" -- it's still me!
4.5⭐️ The plot thickens! Thank you to the author for an advance review copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The dynamics between the main characters are more intense, more involved and with more depth. We are getting to know each character better, watching as their connections become stronger, how they work together and how they compliment one another.
The imminent threat leads to intense encounters and securing a bond that will last as the characters are opening up more and building trust. The danger and fight are exhilarating and had me on the edge!
I can’t wait for the third book! I need to know how these five amazing characters make it to an hea and safety with all that is still not resolved!!!
The bodyguards holed up again. This time they knew it was a matter of when not if. A story of survival at its best. Here the women seem to be getting closer but Sabine was becoming restless trying not to aggravate anyone but it wasn’t easy. The cats were getting bigger and therefore more aggressive in getting out. Nerves were getting frayed. But when the time came, they were ready even if it was earlier than expected. As they came out of one situation, Alex takes off on one of the victims snowmobile and follows them to where the others were hiding. What takes place at the enemies cabin was not for the weak. But Marco gets Alex and takes it upon himself to make her talk. Big mistake… Kara tries to help and Cam watches it unfold. But things are getting worse by the minute. At least Ellie is at their cabin keeping Sabine safe. Or are they…. So so good!!!
This book is proof that sequels can be better, lots better. Secure Their Fates is much more involving than the previous book. From backstory galore, to truer connections between the characters and significantly advanced stakes as the plot unfolds this book really delivers an engrossing and extremely entertaining and complex dark romance and thriller combination. First the characters get to hunker down in a lakeside cabin in wintertime doing all the usual stay inside bonding while also dealing with the constant threat that hangs over their heads. The gradual trust that develops allows the reader a sneak peak into the various members as they start to open up. The tender moments that the reader witnesses make the stakes both higher and more emotional when the Scorpions come calling and all out war results. The fight is handled in a very coherent fashion as our women hold their own and then retaliate in a spectacular confrontation that provides very real consequences to both sides. As the team and Sabine flee once more it is surprisingly Lorenzo's reaction that truly hits home when he uncovers the results of the fight and shows just how dangerous he truly is. This is a definite must read for anyone looking for depth and action all tied up in sexual and emotional interactions. The conclusion of the trilogy is eagerly anticipated by this reader as according to the blurb the HEA is coming but what will be sacrificed to reach it could be another thing that threatens our emotional state. What happened with Taylor?!! I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
The second book of the House of Bellante series continues the tension and spice of the first book and cranks the action to a 10. They've eluded Lorenzo and his Scorpions and sought refuge in the mountains, but they all know it's only a matter of time.
The tensions, sexual, tactical, and otherwise are present and playing off of each other in very intriguing ways throughout this book, which I loved to see. It was wonderful seeing how each of the individual and collective relationships changed and reacted to the changes in the others.
It was also great to see such an uptick in the action and to see that Stella had done so much research to get certain specifics right was very refreshing, as many authors aren't that thorough. This book is definitely a step up from Under Their Guard, and I need Burn Their Legacy to come out sooner, because I need to read it now!
A follow up to Under Their Guard, this has Sabine and her bodyguards/lovers isolated in a mountain safehouse. Things seem almost normal, but someone is always watching, keeping an eye on the surroundings. The investigation continues, the Bellantes (with one exception) want Sabine out of the way.
The plot thickens and more secrets are revealed through this wonderful story. It's more intense, more high stakes and a page turning read that is amazing.
Sabine and the rest of the characters evolve really intriguingly as well.
I'm very much enjoying this series and looking forward to more.
I feel like a whole lot of nothing happened in this book. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed getting more of the girls backgrounds, but I just feel like it could've been so much more. I will continue reading the series because well with an ending like that I need to know what happens next.
This is the second book in this series, I enjoyed the first one but this one had me on the edge of my seat. Really looking forward to the last installment.
I enjoy Stella Rowe’s writing, and this is a good second book in this series. The relationships between the four bodyguards and Sabine intensifies between them all, with the tension building while they are hiding and being hunted by the Bellante family. The spice is good but not over the top, and there’s a lot of violence in this book, but it’s well written and the plot keeps building. I’m looking forward to the third one to see where they all end up.
