This book isn't necessarily in a genre I would choose for myself, but I am so glad I read it because it was really great! I'm not a huge fan of scary stories so I approached this with caution. Good news is it's not keep-you-up-all-night-hiding-under-the-covers scary. But it is suspenseful and does have some scary parts to it! I don't want to give away the details of what the ghost is so angry about because it's kind of a shocker, especially if you're like me and know almost nothing about the St. Louis World's Fair. But it's a compelling revelation that will have you alternately thinking the ghost is going about revenge the wrong way and being sympathetic to why she's so upset. Kara and Sylvia are great characters who really show what a true friendship between women can and should look like. You'll probably wish you could be friends with them yourself! This story is creative and a page turner. You'll find yourself hooked pretty quick!
