A new president. A nation watching. A promise he must keep.He survived assassination, corruption, and a deep state conspiracy. Now comes the hardest part.
The Oval Office was supposed to be the victory. But governing a fractured nation — with hollowed institutions, a suspicious Congress, and enemies still lurking inside the machinery of power — is a war David Shepherd never trained for.
As President, David must rebuild what corruption destroyed. But not everyone wants America healed.
Sanctum may be exposed, but its roots run deep — and the allies David needs most may be the ones he trusts least.
His faith is tested not by bullets, but by compromise. Not by assassins, but by the slow, grinding weight of power.
Can a man of God govern without losing his soul?
Will David find a way to lead a divided nation toward renewal — or will the Oval Office do what Sanctum never could?
Will the very power he fought so hard to redeem begin to change the man who holds it?
The battle for the nation continues. The battle for the man has just begun.
Mandate is the fourth book in this fast-paced, action-packed Christian thriller series. Think David Baldacci, James Patterson, Mark Dawson, and Lee Child meet Colleen Coble and Lynette Eason. This is a modern-day re-telling of the King David story. The establishment will stop at nothing to stop David Shepherd's rise to power — and assassination isn't off the table.
So David Sheperd is finally President, and his inauguration day goes off as planned, and in a couple of months time he and Michal are getting married. David has many plans and high hopes for both the role of president and husband, and in both his faith keeps him strong. However the political arena is no joke, and the demands made on his time leave him little time to spend with his new wife. She too takes on her role of first lady seriously, however she starts feeling the distance growing between them. David finds himself even unable to fit in his usual time for prayer and communing with God. He feels as though he is carrying all the weight of the country by himself, even when surrounded by his people. In this very powerful book we get to see David as the human being he is, vulnerable, and in his vulnerability instead of getting closer to both his wife and his god he turns to someone else. I really enjoyed this book, it is gratifying to see that even one as staunch a believer as David Sheperd could fall from grace, this gives us mortals hope! However will he be able to handle the responsibilities of a second term in office and to save his marriage, when his nemesis Everest is planning to defeat him, and a new interest is so close to him? I cannot wait for the next book in this series, as things are really getting interesting!
Mandate is the fourth installment in this fast-paced, action-packed Christian thriller series. I recently discovered this author, and he has quickly risen to my top five favorite authors. I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it is gratifying to witness a character as devout as David Shepherd experiencing a fall from grace, which offers hope to the rest of us. Judah Lamb's ability to bring the Bible to life and make its stories relevant to our daily experiences is a remarkable talent.
I eagerly anticipate the next installment! I often recommend his books to my life coaching clients. This particular book is incredibly powerful, illustrating that even the most steadfast believers in God and Christ encounter moments of weakness and fallibility (as we all do). Nonetheless, we can always find our way back to grace. That is the beauty of the God we serve. His unconditional love for us, as his children.
It is truly an outstanding read.

Mandate by Judah Lamb is another incredible addition to the David Shepherd Thrillers series.
What touched me most was seeing David struggle beneath the weight of life’s demands. Even a man with such strong faith can become overwhelmed and lose sight of the little things that once kept him grounded. His journey is a reminder that sometimes we drift without even realizing it, slowly setting aside the very things that nurture our souls.
Judah Lamb has a beautiful way of weaving biblical truths into real-life struggles, reminding us that none of us is beyond hardship or temptation. This story is more than an action-packed thriller; it’s a heartfelt reminder that even when life tests our faith, we must never lose sight of what matters most.

Wow! Mandate is the phenomenal fourth book in Judah Lamb's David Shepherd Thrillers series, and it is hands-down a spectacular continuation of the saga! I was so thrilled to see David and Michal finally get married, and watching David step into the role of President of the United States is absolutely gripping.
But being the leader of the free world comes with a massive cost. David has been through so much trauma that his faith is pushed to its absolute limits! Will he find the strength to overcome these new, overwhelming obstacles and keep his faith intact? I also loved how this book explores the reality of his new job: how will the presidency affect his marriage, and can their new bond survive the incredible pressures thrown at them?
David goes into office with big dreams to help people and make the country a truly better place, but he quickly hits a wall. He discovers that he can't just fix everything overnight—especially with sinister forces standing right in his way. The ultimate twist? The very people he needs on his side are the ones he can trust the least!

I have been following Dr. Lamb for some time now. I first stumbled upon this series, read all he had available, then read all of the Unfallen and the Eden Protocols. They are all fantastic, but this has been my favorite entry in this series thus far. Fun, fast paced, family friendly, real, relatable. The way Dr. Lamb brings the Bible to life, and makes it stories applicable to what we experience every day, is a true gift. I can't wait for the next one!
There are times life can become overwhelming. This appears to be happening to David. He puts off things that in the past although were small and not time consuming but were beneficial to his well being. He has slowly changed and he does not comprehend it.
David Shepherd is sleepless the night before inauguration. He knows what he is getting into, or thinks he does. Does he really? Is he ready for the pressures of that office? Don't ask Kindle's AI for the answers. Read the book for yourself; it will be worth the time.
This book was incredibly powerful and demonstrated that even staunch believers in God and Christ experience moments of weakness and fallibility. However, we can always find our way back to grace. It’s a truly terrific read.
David Shepherd is the President of the United States, but it’s not everything David had hoped it would be … doubting people in his own government to wide-spread corruption what actions can David take to help?
Another great book by this writer. This is book 4 of the series. Not a standalone. In this book David is now the President and having to deal with what that entails. Looking forward to the next book in the series
