Under His Care is another Sins of the Same Town quickie by K. Webster. It's a 5 chapter story and I think this might be my favorite one so far set in the Sins of the Same Town setting.

The story is about Maren who just came out of an abusive relationship and needs physical therapy to heal up again. She goes to Nathan's practice and right from the get go they feel close to another. Nathan's heart breaks when he finds out what happened to her. And very quickly he feels more for her then he is supposed to feel. He tries to fight his feelings and stay professional.

But he isn't the only one who is affected. His touch heals something deep inside of Maren. And she feels a safety in his office and his hands she has never felt before. And before either of them know it they cross that line and suddenly everything changes.

Feelings erupt. People get suspicious. Is there a future for them? Or is it all doomed to fail spectacularly?

I really felt every single emotion that burst between the two of them. From the lust to the longing and eventually to an all consuming love.

Maren Caldwell was struggling to recover from her trauma, both mentally and physically. Her new physical therapist, Dr. Nathan Harrison, had a touch that grounded her. But when professional boundaries began to blur, they found themselves risking consequences neither was prepared to face.



Maren found the only thing that tethered her and clung to it. She was fragile, but Nathan took his time and helped her along the way. The story was mellow with a splash of external conflict to make it more engaging.

Under His Care is a story of recovery and moving forward. It would appeal to readers who enjoy a quick forbidden romance.

Under His Care is a Patient/Therapist romance—definitely on the forbidden edge, but that’s what readers should expect from K. Webster's Forbidden Flings. These are 5-chapter, 10k-word standalones and exclusive K-Club reads. They are known “to make you blush, question your morals, and give you the happy ending you deserve.” And they do, especially with Under His Care. Yes, in the real world, this would be a major no-no. But this is K. Webster’s fictional world and not for everyone. But for those who are into this, Nathan is a sweetheart who understands Maren. He’s very supportive in helping her rebuild her confidence. The age gap is big, which makes the forbiddenness even sweeter. I love how the Forbidden Flings are interconnected, too, with some familiar characters.

Under His Care is another quick and forbidden novella in the Sins of the Same Town series provided to the K Crew. This one is between a patient and her physical therapist.

Maren needs physical therapy after her boyfriend assaulted her. Dr. Nathan Harrison immediately feels a connection to her and he schedules her for daily massages. The attraction grows between them and Maren finally feels safe with a man, but Nathan tries to fight it because he is much older than her and she is his patient.

This was another quick read, and I had a good time with it.

Once again, K Webster has written a book that should be icky but is just perfect! Two people who shouldn't be together, belong together and they work. It's as simple as that!

She has this way with words, characters and worlds that make them all seem so natural. Obviously in RL these relationships would be highly frowned upon and really just shouldn't happen but here? They belong together. The end.

Under His Care by K. Webster is May’s Forbidden Flings Exclusive. This time we have the taboo and large age gap romance between Dr Nathan Harrison and Maren Caldwell. A forbidden relationship as she’s his patient and younger than him. Will he risk it all for her?

Maren is recovering from being attacked by her controlling boyfriend Jason, an assault that nearly killed her and left her with damage to her neck and shoulder. While she is attempting to be stronger and braver, she is having to deal with her mother who isn’t understanding of what she has endured. Maren needs physical therapy and starts seeing Dr Nathan at his clinic. She thinks he is handsome and surprised she’s attracted to him.

Nathan is immediately drawn to his new patient. He can’t understand how Jason could hurt someone so sweet and innocent. He has never met anyone like her before and thinks it’s adorable that she goes to the park and talks to the geese when she gets too stressed.

Even though it’s wrong he continues daily sessions with her and it gets harder not to cross
the lines as he become obsessed with her. She is she fragile and he risks his reputation and job if he sleeps with a patient but he’s never had these feelings for someone before.

Nathan shows her that a man can be gentle, kind and good but she wonders if it’s one sided. He is the most wonderful thing to happen to her but has she fallen fast and hard
for the wrong man again.

The temptation grows for both of them and then an accidental touch puts everything on the line. Needing help he calls his brother Samuel, the preacher from Washed In His Sin, who contacts Julian the town fixer for him.

The author usually packs a lot into these stories but I felt this one was missing something and I found it hard to connect with the couple. I would have liked a little bit more about Nathan, however, we get a lovely ending with Maren feeling safe and loved. She has a new family who accepts her, a great friendship with Samuel’s wife Wendy and her own geese in the pond.

“Why am I so obsessed with this girl?”

Narrated in dual POV, Maren is gentle character and Nathan assumes the protector role in a natural and nurturing way. Together, they find exactly what each had been looking for. This novella is a quick read with heartwarming characters.

This little novella had forbidden love, spice, heartache, and drama. And I absolutely ate it up!

💋 As with all of the books in the Sins of the Same Town series, the forbidden elements are at the fore of the story and that makes my forbidden-loving heart so happy.
💋 I loved all of the connections in this town, particularly to past characters we watched fall into their own forbidden HEAs.
💋 When the MCs know it’s “wrong” but do it anyway? When we see their guilt and longing and uncomfortability? Yes, please!
💋 Though it was short, this novella packed a heated, heartfelt punch! I loved Nathan and Maren’s story and their HEA.

Under his care is the latest instalment in the Sins of the same town series.
Maren is almost 19 and recovering from an abusive relationship. When she goes to physical therapy for care, she falls for her much older 47 year old physical therapist. Nathan is attracted instantly but tries not to give into temptation. He knows it’s wrong but the heart wants what the heart wants.
I loved this book. Sweet characters and a great plot. Nathan is understanding and supportive. Was great to see Cameos from Samuel and Wendy.
Under his care is well written and steamy. Highly recommended

I adored Maren and Nathan together. Maren needs help recovering from her abusive relationship, and her physical therapist Nathan is there to address some of the trauma she has endured. Neither expects the instant connection they feel. Despite the very big age gap, Maren has been through a lot and is wise and mature beyond her years. Nathan is considerate and trying to be as cautious with Maren as possible, and I appreciated him all the more for it. This was a HEA that left me smiling. All the stars for this novella.

I absolutely loved this short story Forbidden Fling. Nathan is a physical therapist, age 47. Maren age 18, has been physically abused by an ex boyfriend and in need of gentle care. I loved Nathan’s tender and caring treatment of her. He had an internal struggle of being so attracted to her, guilt because of the large age gap and professional conflict of interest. Their chemistry and longing for each other was bone deep. I adore these Forbidden Flings and this one may be my new favorite.

This is a very enjoyable, quickly paced, forbidden romance. Maren and Nathan's story had me firmly up in my Feels. My heart simply ached for Maren, and I thought Nathan was a truly wonderful man and oh, so swoony. The sweetness between these two was lush and I thought it accented their sparks and chemistry perfectly. Prepare some solid heartstring tugging, drama and ultimately for your heart to turn to mush as you read.

Another forbidden tale from the Sins of the Same Town series. It is a taboo age-gap romance between a therapist and his patient. Nathan, the physical therapist, knows it's wrong to want his younger patient, but he can't help the way he feels. Once he finds out the attraction is reciprocated, they can't seem to resist each other. You get all of the goodness, heart, and steam of a forbidden romance. It is a quick and steamy read that will leave you wanting more.

Normally I’m such a sucker for this trope but in this case the characters were just fine. I didn’t feel a pull to the story like I have to some of the others. I did like the added office drama that occurs. Regardless, I love starting off my month with a new K Webster novella.
