In this dark and propulsive domestic thriller, a woman fears that her husband's explosive outbursts could turn deadly, fueled by a man she meets online who may not be trustworthy.
The perfect wife.
The perfect motive.
The perfect murder?
Monica Decker has the kind of life people envy: a successful career as a radiologist, two beautiful children, a handsome husband, and a lovely home in Silicon Valley. But behind closed doors, her marriage is anything but perfect.
Andrew has always had a temper. Lately it’s getting worse. The slamming doors, the sudden outbursts, the way something dark flickers behind his eyes. Monica tells herself she’s overreacting. That it is just stress. That she and the kids are safe.
Until she meets Ben.
Feeling increasingly isolated in her marriage, Monica joins a support group for spouses of workaholics, where she meets a sympathetic stranger who seems to be everything Andrew isn’t. Ben sees what Monica won’t admit to herself…her husband may be dangerous.
Ben’s influence deepens, and Monica's thoughts drift to darker places, imagining what life might look like without Andrew in it—and how far she might be willing to go to make that happen. As Monica is pulled deeper into a web of fear, manipulation, and obsession, the line between protector and predator begins to blur.
But who is Ben, and what does he really want? And who is the more dangerous one?
Is it Andrew? Is it Ben?
Or is it both of them?
A fast-paced domestic thriller of psychological suspense and emotional manipulation—perfect for fans of Freida McFadden and Jeneva Rose.
Bonnie Traymore is an award-winning, Amazon bestselling author of domestic and psychological thrillers that expose the dark truths beneath seemingly perfect lives. Her novels explore jealousy, infidelity, murder, and the impact of psychological disorders.
Bonnie loves Hitchcock movies, psychological thriller novels, coffee, and dark chocolate, not necessarily in that order and sometimes simultaneously. She's a member of International Thriller Writers and Mystery Writers of America, and she resides in Honolulu with her family.
Monica Decker appears to lead a perfect life as a successful radiologist with a loving family, but her husband's temper poses a hidden threat. As Andrew's violent outbursts escalate, Monica meets Ben at a support group, who offers her a listening ear and insights into Andrew's potential danger. Monica's growing bond with Ben draws her into a dark mindset, prompting her to contemplate how to escape her marriage.
I initially thought I’d pick up something light to cleanse my palate, but I was completely mistaken! This book was a total banger with a capital B! And to top it off, the dedication felt partially directed at me, so thank you, Ms. Bonnie!
The story unfolds through multiple perspectives, Monica, Andrew, and Charlotte, along with a dual timeline featuring flashbacks that add depth to the characters. We often don’t realize what goes on behind closed doors. On the surface, Monica seems to have it all together. Wealthy, happy, and well-established in her career, but inside, she’s spiraling. Andrew, on the other hand, is a character you’d want to steer clear of. He’s got serious temper issues. And then there’s Charlotte, who embodies the idea that the past tends to come back and haunt you! We also encounter Monica’s mother, and I can't help but wonder if she’s open to adopting another daughter! She’s a real badass!
The steady pace and sharp writing kept me engaged, and even though I had an inkling of what was going to happen, that was just scratching the surface! The author excelled at keeping me guessing, cleverly adding layers and twists that turned my expectations upside down. The main twist was fantastic and executed perfectly. I didn’t see it coming, and the ending left me quite satisfied. One can only hope that Karma is taking notes!
The author invested significant time in medical research, as everything felt incredibly realistic, enhancing the narrative’s depth. This book will have you feeling both elated and frustrated with its characters. At times, you’ll want to shout, "Run! Pack your bags and get out!" It’s an intense domestic thriller with medical undertones, perfect for anyone who enjoys twists, whether they’re somewhat predictable or not. It also touches on the complexities of the savior complex gone wrong and serves as a thought-provoking read that’s easy to relate to. We all know, and may even excuse, low-key abuse, but it’s essential to recognize that there are different types of abuse. So, speak up, seek help, or do what Monica’s mom did! Stay one step ahead of the situation. What a challenging topic handled with such care and finesse, topped off with an unpredictable ending! Bravo! Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to cut ties with someone I met online! Ha!
Thank you, BooksGoSocial and NetGalley, for the DRC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
My Husband Is Going to Kill Me by Bonnie Traymore was such a fun, twisty thriller that kept me hooked from the start. The title alone pulled me in, and the story definitely delivered on the suspense and paranoia. I loved how the tension slowly built throughout the book, making me question everyone’s motives and constantly second-guess what was really going on.
Bonnie Traymore does a great job creating an atmosphere that feels unsettling but still impossible to put down. The pacing was strong, especially in the second half, and there were several moments that genuinely surprised me. I also appreciated that the characters felt flawed and realistic, which made the drama and secrets even more believable.
While a few parts felt a little predictable for me, overall this was a really entertaining domestic thriller with plenty of twists, suspicion, and drama. I definitely thought I knew the twist and was right until the end revealed a new twist I did not expect. If you enjoy fast-paced psychological thrillers that keep you guessing, this one is definitely worth picking up.
This was my first Bonnie Traymore novel, and it most certainly will not be my last. I was completely hooked from the very first sentence!
Told through the perspectives of three different characters, the story kept me fully invested from beginning to end. While the past tense section was at times confusing to follow, the character development was so strong that everything came together seamlessly in the end. And that twist? I never saw it coming!
This novel is a tough reminder that you never truly know what secrets people are hiding behind closed doors. It was fast paced, suspenseful, and just what I love from a good domestic thriller!
This was a such a fun and quick popcorn triller. I was hooked by the first sentence and struggled to put the book down! Each chapter had me needing to know what was going to happen next and there were twists that I didn’t see coming! Highly recommend!
*thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for an honest review of the book*
I'm not sure what it says about me that I enjoyed this book while the FMC and MMC were both so unlikeable. But, I think that was the point.
Traymore did a great job building the characters to show the manipulative, narcissistic, psychology of these wealthy and highly influential main characters. She wove a story that was intriguing enough to keep the reader hooked without liking the characters and twisted enough that I could not look away. Traymore wove in the details as they were needed for the story, keeping the reader guessing. For me, about a quarter of the way through started to drag just a little. However by the end of the book I found myself impressed by the conclusion and the character evolution.
Overall this was an enjoyable read and my first experience with Traymore's writing.
This was such a gripping, fast-paced domestic thriller that completely pulled me in from the very beginning. I found myself instantly intrigued by the characters and the dynamics between them, and I was constantly wanting to read “just one more chapter” to see where it was all going.
The tension builds really well throughout, and I loved the sense of unease running underneath everything. I was genuinely curious about how it would all unfold. It’s one of those books that’s very hard to put down once you’re into it.
I read this in just a couple of days and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Definitely recommend if you enjoy psychological thrillers with strong characters and a compelling, fast-moving plot.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy.
Thank you NetGalley and Pathways Publishing for this arc.
“One of these days, my husband is going to kill me. Unless I kill him first.”
✦ domestic thriller ✦ multiple POV ✦ present day+flashback to 15 years earlier ✦ fast-paced ✦ keeps you guessing
I was immediately drawn to the title and book cover. This book did not disappoint and was so hard to put down. I flew through it!
I did feel at times during the last half of the book that I had missed something, or things weren’t being fully explained. But was happy that the end wrapped everything up nicely and included those missing pieces there.
If you enjoy domestic thrillers then you should check this one out!
My Husband’s Trying to Kill Me! was such a fun, twisty thriller! I flew through this one in a day because every chapter made me question who could actually be trusted. The suspense kept me hooked, and the mix of dark humor with the mystery worked really well for me. A few parts felt a little over the top, but overall it was an entertaining, fast-paced read that thriller fans will definitely enjoy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A classic tale of "you never know what goes on between closed doors". Domestic violence can be such a touchy subject but Bonnie did a good job on getting to the point without going overboard. Andrew and Monica, the main characters are married with kids and live in an expensive neighborhood. Monica is constantly trying to figure out if she should stay for her kids?
The writing is easy to read and the story is super easy to follow along with. I enjoy the shorter chapters. I liked the dual point of view. It was hard to like or side with either of these characters but I'm sure that was by design. The ending threw me for a loop! Overall, great read!
“My Husband Is Going To Kill Me” by Bonnie Traymore is dark, twisty, and so much fun! It is a fast paced thriller packed with lies, deceit, and tension. Between a husband with anger issues and a troubling past, and a mysterious stranger feeding dangerous thoughts, I never knew what was coming next. The twists kept me hooked and I couldn’t put it down!

Genre: domestic thriller
This is my first time reading a Net Galley ARC and my introduction to Bonnie Traymore's work. Upon exploring her background, I learned she is well known for domestic abuse fiction, and this book proved to be a compelling journey. The novel’s realistic tone reflects gaslighting, gradual isolation, emotional disconnect, and the pain of leaving. The main character, Monica, a radiologist, constantly struggles between moving past her panic and managing her own isolation while dealing with domestic violence from her husband, Andrew. Despite referring to him as her prince charming, hidden details (like her burner phone) suggest otherwise. Monica also contends with Andrew's anger issues and starts to realize what her life might be like if she sought help—help that could only come from her mother. Monica and her mother are similar, even though they have different tastes in men and finances. Meanwhile, Monica juggles her work, her troubled marriage, another relationship, and raising her two children, who are growing more attached to their father.
I must mention that the first few pages of Traymore’s book had me hooked with their rhythm and prose. In literary criticism, this is called stylistic modulation, a change in prose rhythm. The writing starts out fast and sporadic, with short, punchy sentences, then eventually settles into longer, more measured prose, reflecting a shift in sentence structure and rhythm.
“But why would she remember me?
And why does this bother me so much?”
The center of the plot is the chess player, her banter with the people she interacts with, and the way she ruined her life through other people’s lives, who messed up her own life really badly. When she mailed her strategy to Monica, it was only about time for her to own up and get out, and honestly, I was shocked that there was a confession but no trial and court, not even for ms.decker or just Doctor Decker now.
Overall, there were a few typos, but there’s no perfect novel without one, and it’s subtle and doesn’t bother the overall storyline. I would prefer dates to be mentioned rather than just years for events. And I would give this book a solid 3 out of 5, fun and riveting, but it could use better articulation and information.
My Husband Is Going to Kill Me is a dark, propulsive domestic thriller that tightens its grip from the very first chapter. Monica Decker appears to have the perfect Silicon Valley life—successful career, beautiful home, two children, and a handsome husband. But behind the façade is a marriage cracking under the weight of Andrew’s temper, his unpredictable outbursts, and the growing sense that something in him has shifted into something dangerous.
Feeling isolated and unheard, Monica joins a support group, where she meets Ben—a sympathetic stranger who seems to understand her fear better than she does. His concern feels like validation, his attention like safety. But as their connection deepens, the story slides into far murkier territory. Ben’s influence is subtle, insidious, and soon Monica finds her thoughts drifting toward possibilities she never would have entertained before. Darker possibilities. Final ones.
The brilliance of the novel lies in its shifting ground. Andrew’s volatility, Ben’s charm, Monica’s spiralling fear—none of it is straightforward. The line between protector and predator blurs until the reader is left questioning every motive, every warning, every whispered suggestion. Who is dangerous? Who is manipulating whom? And how much of Monica’s fear is justified… or engineered?
Fast‑paced, unsettling, and packed with emotional manipulation, My Husband Is Going to Kill Me is a gripping domestic thriller perfect for fans of Freida McFadden and Jeneva Rose. It’s the kind of story that keeps you reading long past bedtime, chasing the truth through every twist.
With thanks to Bonnie Traymore, the publisher and netgalley for the ARC

Last night, I made a classic mistake. I started a new book, not thinking much about it or having a lot of expectations, planning on reading a few chapters only. About halfway through, I had to force myself to put it down, because it was the middle of the night and I had work to get to in the morning. Dear Bonnie Traymore, that synopsis should come with a warning label, because what did I just read?
I expected an average domestic thriller, hopefully a few good twists and some suspense, not to feel like I was in a tilt-a-whirl with the amount of twists I didn’t see coming, and the suspense had me so hooked I forgot what the concept of a sleep schedule is. I did not like the characters at all, and I loved every second of it. The more the tension built, the more doomed I was, the pacing was solid from the start - you don’t feel like its rushed, but you don’t get to a point where you think “this is a good time to put the book down” before you get to the acknowledgements.
While I did guess most of the major revelations, I wasn’t mad at any of it because it all came together in a neat and entertaining way. The characters, with all their flaws, felt authentic and realistic, and only got enhanced with the multiple POVs, and it all just added to the drama in a very complimentary way.
I realise not having come across any of Traymore’s previous work is a mistake on my end that needs to be rectified at the first opportunity, because after this, I’m definitely going to come back for more and stay for scraps.
Monica meets Andrew back in their days of residency while they were working on their medical careers. They fell head over heels for each other and continued on accomplishing their goals, creating a family and planned to spend the rest of their lives together. They seemed to be a typical, perfect couple. But things aren’t always as they seem. Is Andrew truly Dr. Perfect? As Monica is trying to figure this out, she may not be your typical Dr. either. What would you do to protect the people you love?
3.5 ⭐️ !! This was such a fun read! I was hooked from the very first page. Fast paced, short chapters, dual perspectives, very clear characters and story line that made it super easy to follow and never get “lost” or confused. Every chapter left you hanging, wanting to read “just one more chapter” every time.
At about 75% the story really picked up as you can tell you’re getting closer to the end, and this did feel a little rushed and thrown together to quickly get to the end. It maybe could have taken a little longer to reach the ending just so that it didn’t feel so quick/rushed BUT this is the only “critique” I have for this read! And this does not take away from the story at all! I will be recommending this to people and will definitly be looking to read the rest of this author’s, Bonnie Traymore, books!!
Thank you NetGalley and Pathways Publishing for giving me this ARC in exchange for review !!
This was a quick, fun, popcorn read. It centers primarily on Monica, who is trying to decide if her marriages is going to last due to her husband's escalating anger issues. You also get some chapters narrated by Andrew, the husband, that gives the reader a glimpse into his personality. Finally, you get a 3rd vantage point from Charlotte, whose backstory ties her into the dynamic of this couple.
None of these characters are likable at all- they are shallow and vindictive and narcissistic. However, I didn't really care about that because the story itself was fun. I felt like you couldn't take it too seriously and it made for an enjoyable read. You get lots of money and privilege and people making bad decisions based on money and privilege, but it made for a fast-paced and wild ride. While some of the twists were predictable, there were a couple surprises I liked the way it ended, as everything wasn't necessarily tied up tightly, but it left me with an overall feeling of unease, much like the rest of the book.
Overall, this was a fun one that I would recommend to those who like domestic suspense and are looking for a quick read. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to BooksGoSocial and NetGalley for the ARC.
Do you like watching a dramatic tv show to see how far it can go with the drama? This book is like that. The characters are unlikable with their savior complex, gaslighting, anger issues, and 'better than everyone' attitude. But you want to see how far they can go and how bad it can get.
Both Monica and Andrew are toxic, especially in their marriage. They are good parents, who care about their kids, but otherwise? Barely anything there to make them likeable. And that's okay. We all know someone who pretends their life is perfect on the outside, while at home they're a wreck.
But the writing keeps you invested. It keeps you coming to read more, to see how it will end. The chapters are pretty short so it makes you feel like you're going quickly through the book. I think the jump to the past wasn't as needed, especially keeping us there for that long.
It's a good read especially if you are in a reading slump. Get your snacks and watch how two toxic people get worse for each other because they don't want to get a divorce.
Quick Plot Points ☑️ A strained marriage behind a picture-perfect life ☑️ A husband with a worsening temper ☑️ An online stranger who may not be trustworthy ☑️ Dual timeline structure ☑️ A lot of characters, secrets, and motives
One-Sentence Take A fun domestic thriller with a strong setup and plenty of drama, characters and moving pieces. Fans of Freida McFadden will love this!
Review Another solid domestic thriller from Bonnie Traymore! You have a strained marriage, a husband with a temper, an online stranger who may or may not be trustworthy, and a dual timeline that slowly fills in the bigger picture.
I liked the premise, and there are definitely enough secrets and shifting dynamics to keep the story readable. That said, it did get a little tough to follow for me. There are a lot of characters, relationship dynamics, timelines, and motives to keep track of, and at times it felt more busy than suspenseful.
I’d recommend this if you like domestic thrillers with messy marriages, multiple characters, dual timelines, and a lot of drama unfolding at once. It was still an easy, twisty read.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy.
3.75/5 rounding up to 4 stars. The story unfolds through 3 perspectives: Monica, Andrew and Charlotte as well as told through present time and flashbacks. There were times where I felt frustrated with the characters and none of them were particularly likable. I did feel bad for Charlotte though. The author wrote a story that was interesting enough to keep the reader hooked and the chapters were pretty short that it felt like the book just flew by. I do think that during the jump to the past chapters it did start to drag a little bit. This book was predictable for me in that I figured out most of it before halfway through the book but I did enjoy the writing and I liked how it ended.
This book definitely discussed a difficult topic with care. It’s important to recognize that there are different types of abuse. We don’t always see what happens behind closed doors, just because someone looks okay on the outside doesn’t mean they’re okay on the inside. Don’t be afraid to speak up or ask for help, there are people who care.
I think if you like The Housemaid by Frieda McFadden, you might also like this book.
My Husband Is Going to Kill Me by Bonnie Traymore is a domestic thriller that dissects the dark reality behind a seemingly perfect marriage. On the outside, Monica and Andrew have it all. They are a powerhouse medical couple. Monica is a radiologist and Andrew is a surgeon, with successful careers and two beautiful children. But behind closed doors, the perfection fades. Andrew harbors a dangerous temper, leaving Monica living in fear that his anger will one day go too far. To cope, she turns to online support groups for solace.
The story takes a sharp turn when Monica crosses paths with Ben, a man from her online support group. Instead of offering the comfort she desperately needs, Ben only heightens her paranoia. Caught in a web of escalating fear, Monica is left wondering what life might look like if her husband were no longer in the picture.
This book was the perfect level of suspenseful to keep me completely hooked from start to finish. It is incredibly fast-paced and never suffers from a mid-book lull. What I loved most was the unpredictability. I genuinely didn't see the twists coming, and I definitely didn't call that ending!
This one hooked me immediately. Right from the start, the relationship between Monica and Andrew felt incredibly toxic, tense, and unsettling. The way they clearly loved each other while also seeming to hate each other at the same time created such an uncomfortable atmosphere, and honestly, that is what pulled me in so fast.
I really enjoyed the multiple POVs and the slow reveals throughout the story. Every time I thought I had someone figured out, another secret or betrayal would surface and completely shift my perspective. I kept questioning everyone’s motives, which made this such an addictive read for me.
The pacing also worked really well. This ended up being a one day read because I constantly needed to know what was actually going on and who could really be trusted. The twists were entertaining, the emotional manipulation kept the tension high, and the suspense held my attention all the way through.
If you enjoy fast paced domestic thrillers filled with secrets, suspicion, toxic relationships, and characters that keep you guessing, this is definitely one to pick up.
Huge thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advanced reader copy.
"I can kill you with my bare hands, any time I want. Don't tempt me. Yes. It's true. One of these days, my husband is going to kill me. Unless I kill him first."
I'm not sure what it says about me that I enjoyed this book while the FMC and MMC were both so unlikeable. But, I think that was the point.
Traymore did a great job building the characters to show the manipulative, narcissistic, psychology of these wealthy and highly influential main characters.
Monica Decker's life may look enviable from the outside, but there are some strange things going on behind the scenes. For one thing, she is seriously considering murdering her husband!
And if that sounds extreme, it is because Andrew's expressions of temper are sometimes violent, and Monica worries that it will spill out beyond his words and his body language to his actions at some point. But she cannot support her children and their current lifestyle if she divorces Andrew.
Meanwhile, Monica has a secret relationship of her own, and this man, Ben, is encouraging her to leave Andrew. But is Ben really the person he makes himself out to be? And is another man really the solution to Monica's problems?
I did not particularly like any of the protagonists - including the mystery woman who is the one of the people whose point of view is featured in the story - but this is another entertaining thriller from Bonnie Traymore and it gets 3.5 stars.
I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review
Ultimately, this is a story about perception vs. reality. Traymore does a great job in blurring the lines between the two throughout the book to make you question every character's motive and purpose in the story. The characters are realistic and believable as it seems that no one has the full story and is constantly making assumptions about the people around them. The use of past and present allows the reader to have a deeper understanding of various characters and sympathize with each better. Ultimately, there was no character that was fully likable, which made the ending a little harder to predict.
Traymore was also able to handle difficult topics such as abuse and mental health in a way that was respectful. There was no lingering on either topic but rather focused on the effects of each on its communities.
Thank you to NetGalley for my very first ARC! This was my first experience with this author's works, and I look forward to reading more from her.
Another great title, and another great thriller from Bonnie Traymore - who is putting out some of the best psychological crime fiction books around these days. I've read all of her novels, and this is one of my favorites. She is definitely at the top of her game here. The basic premise - as the title suggests - seems simple enough. A wife who everyone assumes has a perfect life is becoming more and more fearful of her husband's violent outbursts and fears she is in danger of being killed - unless she figures out some way to eliminate him first. But nothing is simple in a Bonnie Traymore thriller and I soon found myself racing through the pages from one shocking twist to another in this unputdownable book. Let's just say that nothing - and no one - turns out to be what you think in My Husband Is Going to Kill Me. Read it! Then go back and read all of the other Bonnie Traymore books too, if you haven't already.
"My husband is going to kill me. Maybe not today but someday."
A successful life as a radiologist and a family that loves you. This what we call a perfect life but things go wrong when each time Monica found herself feeling with her husband’s temper which seems to hide a mysterious threat! Meeting Ben at a support group, who offers her his help; a bond between them starts to tie itself as a way to escape her marriage!
I truly liked the plot and how it escalates from the start till the end. The multiple POVs and the dual timeline with the flashbacks was a perfect way to understand what’s going on inside the characters and how each one of them is dealing with themselves.
The writing kept me there and intrigued me the whole time i could’t put it down. Thank you NetGally for this advanced Arc I truly had a good time reading! 🙌🏻
The main character, Monica is afraid of her husband's anger. She meets Ben online and he encourages her to realize how dangerous her situation is.
This book has such an easy, conversational flow to it as if your friends are telling you a story. This is a multiple perspective book (between Monica, her husband Andrew & a mystery character Charlotte) that didn't get confusing but instead, allows you to see the same events from multiple sides. I feel like I should have seen where this was going but I didn't until the shoe dropped & I actually audibly gasped!
There are multiple little twists that come along at different points to help piece everything together & I really enjoyed it. All in all, I would absolutely read another book of Bonnie Traymore- this was such a fast paced, addicting read!
Thank you NetGalley & Bonnie Traymore for the opportunity to receive an ARC
This was not how I thought the book was going to go. The story involves two doctors, their kids and a woman who has a history that links her to one.
The story is incredible. The story is very fast paced, I really enjoyed going between the hospital storyline and seeing how he was between the doctor and how he was at home. How flawed he was in both situations and a woman desperate for change.
The ending was a just an addicting as a tv show that keeps you wanting more. I had to find out how it ended. The story was very well done. So many left turns at moments where you didn’t expect it. A lot of characters but it is easy to keep them straight. It jumps from 3 different POVs.
Worth the read will be recommending to all my friends who are readers.
Thank you netgally and the publisher for early access and allowing me to read this book.
If you love fast-paced psychological thrillers that keep you second-guessing everyone, this book is definitely worth the read. My Husband Is Going to Kill Me had me hooked right from the beginning — every chapter made me more suspicious, and just when I thought I had everything figured out, another twist showed up. Bonnie Traymore does such a good job creating tension and making you feel the main character’s paranoia and fear. The story felt super bingeable and hard to put down because I constantly needed to know what was actually going on. I will say, some parts were a little predictable and I guessed a few twists before they happened, but it was still an entertaining read overall. The drama and suspense kept me invested the whole time. If you’re into domestic thrillers with messy relationships, secrets, and lots of tension, you’d probably enjoy this one!
Perfect Family - When families have a good amount of money, they tend to have their own ways to ensure that others can not come in and take their family's money. Like when Monica started dating years ago, and her mother made sure that they had a pre-nup and to ensure that it has an infidelity clause. Her mother had him watched, and he had kissed another woman while dating. Years later, they have a beautiful home, two kids, and their marriage is falling apart. Sometimes a little thought can drive many other things in life... This is a fast-paced story, one that you need to hang on to and keep reading! Thank you, Bonnie Traymore, for a good story. I received a complimentary arc copy of this book and this is my honest review.
A husband with an anger problem, a secret online affair, a meddling mother on top of the stress of every day living is how Monica juggles her day every day. Let’s not forget the pressures of raising two kids - with basically no help from her Handsome- work obsessed husband Andrew. He wants it all- wife who works full time and takes care of the kids- all while he focuses on climbing up the ladder at the hospital where he works. It’s not as easy as Andrew would like though as his anger spills out into work as well as home. Monica starts to feel unsafe. Andrew starts to feel ignored and nagged. But neither one wants to give up the house or their kids. Read on to find out how this story takes twists and turns into dark thoughts that become darker actions. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
