This was a really sweet and cute Dragon omegaverse book. I personally love omegaverse but I haven't read a Dragon based one before. I absolutely loved it! I'll definitely be adding more of this author to my TBR 💜

ARC review

It was another nice book by this author. Whenever I am in a book slump, she is one of the authors I go to, her books are simple and cute and the love is always loving.
Daniel didn't anything about the magic world. And then all of a sudden everyone is a dragon including himself, he can get pregnant, all sort of things. But he took it like a champ.
Hayden was ruff at first but then he got enchanted by Daniel. They were mates and he had waited centuries for him.
Jacks was the cutest kid ever, so adorable

Dragon Manny by Minerva Howe is the first book in her Dragon Dads series. Daniel Pinkney has a degree, loved kids especially those who needed help learning, and has worked as a manny for 3 other families when his agency sends him up a mountain near Leadville, Colorado, to a solitary mansion to help Hayden Sadler who just adopted a 3 month old son, Jacks. He is wowed by what he sees and is not sure this is the right place for him, especially after he meets Hayden, but he is soon convinced to stay when he meets Jacks. Unbeknownst to him, or anyone really, Hayden and Jacks are dragon shifters and his housekeepers and gardener are also supernaturals, but he wanted a human manny for Jacks because he has to learn to live in the human world, which is what he told Declan at the agency who said that Daniel would be the perfect one for him. From the beginning Daniel senses something is different about Jacks with him being bigger than the normal baby his age, some of his actions like he appears to listen and understand what is being said to him, it looks like he shoots electricity out of his nose, which Daniel thinks is just static in the air, and he can move very quickly, plus he wonders if he is hearing Jacks talk to him in his head. He knows all of these things can’t possibly be true so he just chalks it up to him being a big baby. However, Jacks can do all those things and when he gets upset, he can even set the rugs on fire. Hayden has to constantly talk to him in his head and tell him that Daniel doesn’t know about dragons and that he can’t act that way in front of him. Soon the snow starts falling and they go out to play in it with Jacks showing more weird behaviors. As the two men got to know each other there was an undeniable attraction between them and when Hayden said he will have Daniel’s back and take care of him they kiss. Hayden learns that Daniel was raised in foster care and that he had a strong smell that some people didn’t like which leads him to believe he may not be totally human. He realizes even more when they have a hot love scene and he knows he is his mate, and then when he sees his eyes flashing and some scales on his face he knows that he is a dragon too. Eventually he has to tell Daniel all of this and he is quite unbelieving at first, but then he shows him his dragon and all the clues that Daniel is a dragon too. It takes a while for him to believe these things but then he realizes that he and Hayden could build something amazing together, that they are mates and say I love you, and that he is no longer just Jacks’s manny, he’s his Dan Dan. They have a magical Christmas together and soon Daniel learns to shift and also about all the different kinds of dragons there are in the world. When someone tries to steal Jacks, Hayden and Daniel go into full dragon mode to get him back and then they find out someone attacked the agency so they invite Declan and the remaining members of his team to live with them. Suddenly they have gone from being single people to becoming a family with many members and life is looking good. Plus there is the added consequence of their love that makes everyone even happier. I really enjoyed this story. Hayden had been a solitary dragon but with the addition of Jacks, and then Daniel he started to see what happiness a family could bring him. Daniel thought he was an ordinary human and it was interesting to see him go through the stages of realizing something was different about this family and finding out he was a dragon and slowly learning to be one. Jacks was lots of fun and a typical toddler who had very interesting tantrums where weird things happened. There was some suspense when Jacks went missing but neither man would give up on finding their son. Hayden’s house helpers and Declan and his men also played a big part in the story. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like stories about a man who can shift into a dragon, a manny hired to help take care of his dragon baby who also isn’t quite human, and how they learn about each other and who they really are as they fall in love.

What a fun read!

In book 1 in the dragon dad’s series we get human Daniel and alpha dragon Hayden. What a sweet book with the addition of baby Jack who is so so sweet. The chemistry is amazing a such a great read. The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. The author writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some have quick witted story lines that are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors blurb: When manny Daniel Pinkney heads high into the Colorado mountains to start a new job, he wonders if he's driving right into a horror movie. The house is remote, the place is practically deserted, and his boss is... Intimidating. Stern. An island.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know you’re 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

I absolutely adored this book! It’s amazing and I can’t wait to dive into more of this author’s work. Since I’m a new reader to this author, I immediately went on a quest to explore her other books. I’m thrilled to report that she has a plethora of dragon books that I can’t wait to embark on!

The book is a heartwarming tale about a human man named Daniel who comes to help as a nanny in a secluded mountain house. From the very beginning, we notice that Daniel has a deep-seated desire to care for small children but doesn’t seem to be attached to anyone. However, we discover later why he feels this way. Hayden, the owner of the vast mountain home, adopts Jacks and seems to be a present father. Jack grows rapidly and becomes increasingly intelligent with each passing day.

Daniel is constantly curious about Jack and wonders why everyone believes he’s only three months old when he’s clearly much older. Despite his initial reluctance, Daniel lets it go, but it lingers in the back of his mind. Hayden, who initially appears grumpy, is actually serious and not accustomed to having a baby or extra people in his home. As the story unfolds, Daniel and Hayden develop a friendship and engage in various activities together outside of caring for Jacks. A strong bond forms between them, and you’ll have to read the book to fully understand the depth of their connection and get the spicy details!

I highly recommend grabbing your own copy of this book. It’s truly worth the read! Don’t hesitate- rush to checkout. I believe we’ll be getting a series in this because several plotlines suggest potential for continuation. Rest assured, there are no cliffhangers, and the story guarantees a satisfying and heartwarming ending. The book has very low levels of angst, making it an enjoyable and relaxing read. I’m confident that I’ve discovered a new favorite author!

This was an entertaining story with manny Daniel taking a new position with a “baby” that is larger than usual, more advanced physically, and one that seems to be able to talk to Daniel in his mind. Hayden is Jackson’s father, a dragon shifter, but one that doesn’t share that with Daniel. He wants Jacks to grow up learning to be human so he hired a human manny. Or did he? There are things about Daniel that don’t seem to fit, and Hayden and Jacks communicate with him a lot telepathically. Daniel knows there is something different about Jacks, but he never would have guessed “dragon”, until the conversation Hayden insisted was needed since a relationship was growing between Dan and his boss. As the three settle in as a family, outside forces are gathering to threaten their peaceful life. This is more a HFN ending, but I feel there must be a continuation in the works to give the reader more about the mystery behind the threat.

Jacks is the adorable baby dragon, going from baby to toddler in the period of a few short months, Hayden is pretty up-tight, but he mellows alot when he realized Dan is his mate, and Dan has a hard time adjusting to learning everything he thought he knew about himself was wrong, there’s another creature inside him, and, oh — dragons are real!

The story is entertaining and engaging, world-building with the house on the mountain sets the story well, there are other magical creatures involved, and the main characters draw you in and keep you involved as the story unfolds. There is an on-going mystery to solve, new houseguests, and another baby dragon on the way, enough things to keep the reader interested. I received an advance copy of the book for free and this is my voluntary review.

"I’m glad I’m here with you."

"I’m glad I’m here too. With you."

The story was lacking in depth. ‎I did not connect well with the main characters. I just didn't feel their chemistry. They were adorable, but the way they came together felt meh.

I like how Daniel interacted with Hayden's grumpiness. He was someone who could handle himself well and didn't get flustered easily. He wasn't shy and innocent. He knew what he wanted, and he got them.

Hayden was very patient. He had his moments of losing control, but Daniel was able to handle them well. I liked how Hayden truly loved the little guy. That he wasn't just forced into taking care of Jacks. He was as hands on as he could be.

Jacks was so adorable. Hayden, as a dragon, was adorable. Daniel, as pregnant, was adorable. What an interesting family they were. Jacks reminded me so much of Jack Jack from The Incredibles. They were both mischievous and had no idea the power that they had. Jacks was the star of this book! I loved him.

I liked how there was not much tension and drama regarding the relationship. They were quite comfortable with each other once they finally slept together. There was no question if they were right for each other. No, the drama mostly focused on Daniel denying his dragon heritage.

Daniel could be so hard-headed about any topic regarding him as a dragon. He was a bit frustrating on that note. The way he was trying to humor Hayden without truly listening to him was a bit annoying. The author also liked to introduce something and then seconds later it would happen or appear. The scenes with Declan were also a bit abrupt. Like it wasn't laid out well.

It was unfortunate that there were a lot of things I didn't like.

This is the first book in the Dragon Dads series. This is the story of Hayden Sadler, Jacks and Daniel Pinkney. Hayden is an alpha fire dragon shifter who had adopted baby dragon Jacks into his life and home. Wanting to make life easier for Jacks later on, he requests a human manny from his friend's business. He wants Jacks to learn early how to blend into the human world and having a human manny would help achieve that. Daniel has been given his latest placement to help Hayden with Jacks. Daniel has a degree and experience in child development. He was also raised in the foster system and hopes one day to have a family of his own. When they first meet, Daniel and Jacks bond instantly. Daniel realizes immediately that something is wrong with Jack's age and development assessment. He doesn't realize that Jacks is attempting to appear as a human baby. And as he is unaware of the supernatural and shifter world, Daniel doesn't realize that his two other housemates are house spirits. This is their story. The book is well written and fun to read. I received a complementary advanced review copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review. I loved how Hayden has given up on finding his fated mate and then he walks into his life as his new manny. I enjoyed watching the relation develop between Jacks and Daniel. And when there is a threat to their little family, everyone learns how far parents will go to protect their child. This is a warm read. I look forward to the next book in this series.

What a fantastic beginning!

I absolutely loved this book! The first book in a new series, we start with the tale of Hayden and Daniel. Hayden is a fire dragon who just adopted a dragon baby, Jacks, and needs a bit of help. Daniel is sent by Hayden’s friend Declan, who runs an agency that helps place parentless baby dragons with new families. Things are a little weird at first for Daniel as Jacks seems to be much older than what he’s been told. But he loves him anyway and grows closer to not only Jacks but to Hayden and the two house spirits that live in the house as well. There’s more to Daniel than meets the eye and we soon find out as Hayden begins to see signs of Daniel’s inner dragon. This is a shock to Daniel and it will take him some time to come to terms with it. The two are mates and I love how Hayden takes such good care of Daniel, especially as he is learning to be a dragon. There’s a bit of danger when Jacks turns up missing but Daniel and Hayden manage to find him before the kidnappers get too far. This will lead to them learning of an incident at Declan’s agency and there will soon be more dragons in the house to care for and love Jacks. Hayden and Daniel have their own baby on the way and I love how all the dragons come together to support each other and the little ones. I absolutely can’t wait to read what comes next!

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

Hayden worked through an agency to hire his Manny insisting that he wanted a human so his adopted son Jacks could learn to live in a human world. For 3 month old Jacks, when Daniel walked in the mansion it was love at first site and Daniel felt the same. Still, Daniel kept insisting that Jacks was far more developed than the birthdate Hayden instead on,. The agency that had matched him with the infant Jacks knew that Daniel was right for the job and eventually Daniel started showing some dragony characteristics that as a human he was not supposed to have. Raised in foster care Daniel never questioned his humanity. When Daniel moved from his third floor suite into the second floor master, Hayden still hadn’t told Daniel the truth, but it was getting harder to hide with the speed at which Jacks was developing. But it was all going to come out soon. Daniel may have denied what was right in front of his face, but a kidnapping attempt had Daniel throwing himself out of the baby’s third floor window after then.
Dragon Manny is an mpreg dragon shifter story in the Minerva’s Dragon Veil universe, so you know there is going to be a baby and an HEA. This is book 1 in the new dragon dads series so no prior reading is required

Another good start to a series from Minerva Howe. You can never have enough dragon romance! This one starts with new dad, Hayden, who has recently adopted baby Jacks, and both are dragons, but Hayden wants to hire a human nanny to help Jacks acclimate to the human world. Well, that doesn't exactly go to plan.
Driving an hour out of town to an isolated mansion for a job could be deemed crazy but also the best decision of Daniel's life with how things turn out.
A grumpy alpha dragon, a baby growing far past expected milestones and a clueless 'human' make for an interesting new family. Secrets revealed, a new mate to love on and an excitable baby dragon to keep up with keeps everyone on their toes.
There is a little bit of drama towards the end that heightens safety and security, along with bringing questions of someone's origin. But it also grows the family in the household with some new/old friends joining them up in the mountains. I am very much looking forward to seeing how this part of the story develops and (hopefully) reading those people get their HEA.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Daniel heads into the Colorado mountains for a manny job and meets Hayden, an intimidating but gorgeous dragon shifter raising his unusually advanced baby, Jacks. Daniel quickly bonds with the child, and Hayden realises there’s far more to Daniel than he expected. Just as their connection begins to grow, danger arrives, forcing them to work together to protect Jacks and the fragile new family forming between them.

Daniel’s easy, natural bond with baby Jacks is what lets him settle into the household so quickly, and it becomes the foundation for everything that follows. As time goes on, it’s clear that his connection with Hayden is deepening too — and that Daniel needs space to learn about dragons as well as explore his own heritage. I loved seeing the three of them grow into a real family, especially when danger struck and they worked together to protect each other. The emotions are gentle, the pacing is smooth, and the story is easy to read and understand. Overall, it’s an enjoyable paranormal romance with warmth, heart, and a lovely sense of found family. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

“Dragon Manny” by Minerva Howe is the first book in the ‘Dragon Dads’ series and features Daniel, a manny who never expects to discover a whole new category of youngster to care for and to advocate for, and Hayden, who wants a caregiver who can show his newly acquired baby how to be human. Daniel isn’t quite prepared for the world of dragon shifters, but he’s about to get a crash course that is going to be truly life-changing.

This adult gay mpreg paranormal romance is a fun introduction to a new series. I love baby Jacks (Jackson) and the remarkable revelations that Daniel adeptly takes in stride, even if he’s having trouble believing all of the fantastical things that he’s being exposed to. His determination to keep his new charge safe and his obvious sense of responsibility reflect his strong character, and it was so much fun watching him discover more about his host and himself. There are elements of danger and heartbreaking events that lead to dangling threads that will undoubtedly tie the series together, and I can’t wait to be introduced to more of these fascinating characters.

Dragons, single dad and mates - what is not to love.

Minerva Howe is a new author to me and I think I will definitely look into her backlist.

A single dragon who suddenly gained a baby, a human nanny who is puzzled about the baby's less than average development who keeps everyone on his claws, two meddling staff and a mystery. It's really a great book.

I love how Hayden is slowing uncovering Daniel's unknown secrets and his mind conversation with baby Jacks are really funny. There is plenty of chemistry between Hayden and Daniel and while it's not the typical Mpreg insta-lust/insta-love, things do develop quickly. It's lovely to see how a single dad, a far too smart baby and the nanny build a family.

What I didn't like that much was that there seem to be some plot holes regarding Daniel's childhood, some things were contradictive. Also the mystery part of what happened to Jacks' biological parents and development towards the end of the book were left very open and a bit confusing. Hence the star deduction.

I hope the next books comes soon.

DNF @ 29%

I tried, but I feel like I was reading a different book than all of the other reviews. The way Hayden was fine letting Daniel think he was going crazy instead of just telling him was aggravating.

And this dialogue....

“What is your position on video games?” “I’m not opposed to the idea.” Daniel just blinked a little. “You’ve never played any?” “No.” Hayden’s cheeks actually went pink. “If I had any downtime at all I slept and watched movies or played video games.

There were the random line spaces that made you think it was a new section, but actually just continuing dialogue. And there were other phrasing that just made no sense. Like when Daniel said “That’s very kind, but I think I’m going to go take a shower and change my clothes, and maybe HAVE a movie or a game or something.”

But I kept reading hoping it'd get better, because I was intrigued by the story. But when we went from talking about buying sleds to somehow admitting to feelings for your boss to kissing with almost no buildup?? I'm out.

"Dragon Manny" is book one in Minerva Howe's Dragon Dads series. Part of the Dragon Veil universe, there's promise of some cameos from the earlier books as this series progresses. New mates, more babies.
Omega Daniel Pinkney is a human manny, who usually takes short term assignments, emergency coverage. Uninitiated to the paranormal world, he's hired by dragon alpha Hayden Sadler to care for Hayden's adopted 3 month old son, Jacks.
Baby Jacks is adorable. Larger than same age human babies, Jacks sets things afire, shoots electricity from his nose and can speak to Daniel telepathically. But the human convinces himself there's "nothing to see here". The reveal was gentler than usual, because Daniel isn't quite as clueless as he first appeared to be.
Sweet, with some sizzling chemistry. Hayden's house staff are supportive found family. There's just a touch of danger and Jacks is kidnapped. Ends up with a HEA and hints for the future.

Manny Daniel Pinkney is on his way to a new job. Its location is high in the mountains of Colorado. The house is remote and isolated. His new boss, Hayden Sadler, is gorgeous and unknown to Daniel is dragon shifter. The baby is amazing and Daniel falls in love with little Jacks but is sure his birth date is off. His development is off the charts. Hayden wanted to hire a human manny as he wants Jacks to be able to fit in with the human world. Daniel, though, appears to be more than he seems and Hayden is OK with that. Then danger comes calling and the little family must fight to survive.

This story is sure to find a place in your heart. Jacks is amazing. He is so adorable. The conversations with him are sure to bring a smile. There are several other people living in the house and more join them. They sure do enhance the story. Entertaining from page one until the end, Dragon Manny will stay with you long after the last word has been devoured.

I love it when Minerva brings a new book out as they are always my to-go feel good reads! This one has tender romance, strong found-family vibes, and the dragon shifter elements add a fun twist without overwhelming the emotional core of the book. With low angst, lovable characters, and plenty of heart, this was such an engaging and comforting read.

Daniel’s new job as a live-in manny comes with a remote mountain home, a mysterious employer, and a child who seems anything but ordinary. What starts as a charming fish-out-of-water setup quickly develops into a sweet story about family, trust, and finding where you belong.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between Daniel and Hayden. Daniel’s warm, caring nature balanced Hayden’s more reserved personality perfectly, and watching their relationship grow felt natural and heartfelt. The standout for me was Jacks, whose rapid development and unique circumstances added both humour and intrigue to the story.

I received a free arc and this is my honest review

3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. Yet another endearing Dragon Veil universe novel to start a new series. Daniel Pinkney is an experienced nanny sent to a very large mysterious house at the top of a mountain. The boy Jack that Daniel takes care of is far more advanced than he would expect at that age for speaking, walking and size, and he is finding changes in himself.
I find Minerva's novels in this universe seem to take a dream like quality so things like Daniel and his boss Hayden deciding that they would have a committed relationship just seemed to flow in, without going into the details of would Daniel still be paid? But in these novels it doesn't matter for the semantics.
So there's some danger challenging Jack and revelation of more aspects of Daniel than was previously expected. I felt it was missing an epilogue, but possibly the following books will make up for that.
Sweet story and enjoy the start of a new series!

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.

Overall this was a cute book, but it felt like there were some inconsistencies. It makes sense that there is an agency of some kind for dragon shifters, even specifically for being a type of CPS for dragon children. However, it felt like there was more going on with what the agency is and/or about Jacks specifically. I know this is a series starter, and I imagine there will be more information in future installments, but I was confused about what the intention was.
Maybe it is just a personal preference, but I was really thrown by how Jacks was portrayed to be developing quicker as a dragon than a normal infant. He is described as being the equivalent of a toddler (2-3 years) while trying to convince Daniel that he is closer to 3 months old than 6 months. Daniel makes preparations for Jacks to start teething partway through the book which makes sense with what he knows as baby teeth start to erupt around six months old. But this seems to go against what we are told about dragon development.

This was such a cute story!

Dan Dan and Hayden make such a sweet couple and with Jack's they are the most adorable little family.

There were a couple mistakes in the writing, almost like auto-correct guessed the word and nobody caught it. "Are" where only "all" would make sense and such. Also, there were one or two part where something was explained differently than before, like maybe the author had forgotten what was already written and then remember a little later.

Funny, more than confusing and didn't make the story difficult to read or any less enjoyable.

While their relationship was easily going, there was some situational angst which added to the story, in my opinion. Nothing was too east or too acceptable and that made Daniel a relatable character.

I can't wait to read more by this author. I could not put this book down. It was a pretty light story and the plot itself was extremely well-written.

It was great, just great.

Happy reading

This is a wonderful start to a new series by Minerva Howe. While I love many of the tropes this book hits on, it excels at my favorite, found family. Minerva Howe has a talent for writing a found family story and the Dragon Manny is the perfect example.
Dragon shifter, Hayden Sadler, has lived alone for centuries. He lives in a giant mansion, high in the mountains, wealthy and lonely. Until, he has the opportunity to adopt an orphaned baby dragon shifter. He knows he cannot raise a child on his own so he hires a nanny but he wants a human nanny. Daniel Pinkney arrives with no knowledge of dragons but expertise in babies and children. Before long baby Jacks loves Daniel and Hayden realizes his mate walked through the door.
This is such a fun and entertaining start to a new series. I love the personality that shows through with all of the characters. There are quite a few surprises in the story and I am excited to see where the series takes us.

Very cute start to the new series!

I love all the books in this universe so was excited to see another series starting. I’ve always really enjoyed the idea of hidden dragons/wolves who don’t know what they are until they meet the right people to bring out their supernatural side. It’s a cool idea that you’ve just got dragons walking around being unknowingly dragony. I’ll admit I did outright cackle at Daniel thinking he’s going nuts and Hayden totally gaslighting him as Jacks does increasingly not human things. It felt a bit mean but honestly it was genuinely funny seeing Daniel explain away stuff like Jacks zapping things with electricity or eating meat at 3 months old. The usual found family vibes were strong with this book (which is one of the reasons I love Minerva’s books) and we got to meet a whole group of new people who I am sure we will get to see lots more of. I’m looking forward to seeing their stories and them all falling in love!

I loved this book so much. It is the 1st book in the Dragon Dads series. I cannot wait until book 2, this book had everything I absolutely love in my MM romances. It is a MM Romance, omegaverse, Mpreg, Dragon shifters and single dads. Like can you get anything better I know I can't.
In this book we meet Human Manny Daniel who was hired by Alpha dragon shifter Hayden to take care of his adoptive son Jacks. Hayden hired a human to help jacks learn to blend in the human world better so it would be better when he was older. Although jacks is growing crazy fast Daniel doesn't know anything about the supernatural world. I do love the 2 house spirits felt that was an amazing touch.
The chemistry between Aiden and Hayden was amazing from the start an I thought they fit so perfect together.
Overall, this was an absolutely amazing book. I cannot wait for book 2 in this series because this is one of my new favorite series. The author did a phenomenal job.

Jacks stole my heart so quickly that I didn't even realize just how fast you can be enchanted by a little dragon.
There's so much to this story that I'm not sure where to start. I really liked that it wasn't just “boom” and suddenly we're totally in love. Okay, one of them was pretty smitten with their boss from the very first moment, but we'll let that slide.
Other than that, in addition to the love story, there was plenty of suspense, and some really intriguing themes were explored. Not all the answers are given in this volume, but I think that will happen in the following books. So I’m being patient and looking forward to Volume 2.
If you like dragons, love found family, and don’t mind a little fire when Junior gets overwhelmed, you’ll find a truly wonderful universe here that you’ll love to dive into.
I highly recommend it.

Daniel is kind of adorable, and I really enjoyed watching him step into new experiences and discover little revelations along the way. Hayden starts off grumpy, but of course he turns out to be a total sweetie, which made their relationship even more fun to follow.

I always love when kids are included in stories, especially the tiny ones with their baby talk. Little Jacks was so cute and made me smile lots.

The story had just a smidge of danger, enough to keep things interesting without overwhelming the sweetness. I’m definitely curious to see where the series goes next. I would’ve loved to learn more about Daniel’s background, and a few of the secondary characters really caught my attention. I’m especially hoping Declan gets his moment to shine and find his happiness.

A cute, feel‑good read with a cozy vibe.

OMG I loved it! Danny is such a sweetheart! He like immediately imprints on Jacks and they are such a good duo together. Hayden is really trying to get Jacks to behave like a human instead of the dragon he is, but well tell that to a baby. It's a difficult mission. Daniel however loves Jacks just so much a explains a lot of it away. It was just really cute.
Daniel is also at the same time trying to control his feelings for Hayden. And Hayden is doing the same with his feelings for Daniel.
Eventually Hayden is forced to tell Danniel the truth and I loved that part of the plot.
Jacks is such a sweetheart. He loves Hayden and Daniel (DanDan) with all his heart and it's the cutest.
I would definitely recommend!

P.S. I received an ARC, but this is my honest opinion. Thank you to GRR for the ARC!

Dragon Hayden needs help with a baby

I often read really dark novels and I sometimes need something lighter as a palette cleanser between them and Minerva Howe is one of the authors that I regularly turn to for this type of story. She is so good at writing mostly lighthearted stories and I love books like this with dragons and omegaverse. Daniel is a cute character who has a spine of steel under his cuddly exterior and he is terrific manny. Hayden is a good dragon who is good at looking after those who need him, but for me the best character was not so little baby Jacks. You really get the idea that Jacks knows way more than the adults around him realize.
There are questions left unanswered, but I presume that those will be addressed in subsequent books. I like how Ms Howe has storylines that carry through a series.

Jacks is adorable! How can you resist a possessive baby dragon? Daniel and Hayden had good chemistry. If I've read any of the books in this universe, it's been too long for me to remember any of the details. It probably would have given me extra insights into some characters and how things work, and added enjoyment, but it wasn't necessary to understand the story. The middle of the story felt a little slow and long. Once the big action scene happened (which was well-written and exciting), things picked up, and I finished the rest of the book quickly. There are tons of funny and sweet moments. The characters are likeable and interesting. I would like to know more about Daniel's and Jacks's origins, both of which are unknown. Maybe that's how this universe works? Despite my interest ebbing and flowing throughout this story. Overall, I liked the story.

A Joyfully Jay review.

This book is the first in a new series by Minerva Howe, set firmly in her Dragon Veil universe. It’s not necessary to have read any books previously, though some familiarity with the world is nice. This story kicks off not only the HEA between the MCs, but sets up a danger lurking in the world, one seeking to destroy dragons, and the men who come together to protect it.

This tale is, in a lot of ways, a typical nanny/single parent romance. It’s an interesting start to the series, I like the setting a lot, and it has a lot of potential. If you’re a fan of dragons, magic, fated mates, and mpreg, then definitely check this one out.
