It isn't easy, being an alpha wolf's bond-mate, but Callum is determined to make it work with Nero, despite the alpha's dark moods and Callum's insecurities about being the only human in a wolf pack. But when an old lover shows up in Raglan, the strain of jealousy pushes their relationship to breaking point.
The alpha's duty is always to do whatever is best for the pack. When old rivalries with a neighbouring pack resurface, Nero is faced with the choice of loyalty to his bond-mate or the good of his wolves, and Callum has to decide whether Nero means everything to him, or nothing.
Is Callum willing to fight for his alpha? And is the pack ready to fight for him?
Robin Moray is a storyteller by nature, with a love for realistic characters in fantastical situations and men having complicated emotions. Preferably naked.

I wish I could fully understand the vague dissatisfaction I felt after reading these books. It's not that I think they're bad, but they're... I guess frustrating would be the right word. There's potential for something great here, the beginning chemistry between Nero and Callum drawing the reader in and presenting the idea that this is going to turn into an epic romance.
Sadly, it never did. For two people who can sense each other's emotions after completing their bond, they do a remarkable job fucking up and misinterpreting every damn thing the other says. They never fully connected, even when they supposedly did, so I was left feeling empty and slightly miffed.
I actually enjoyed this book even more than the first one. The cast of characters was expanded a little. Callum matured quite a bit. Nero fell more for Callum and showed it.
I was disappointed that:
The next book isn't about Callum and Nero. It's about Tommy and Hamish. So I'm on the fence about whether to read it or not. I adore Nero and Callum to much.
ugh the stupid drama with kayla/studding and then tommy drove me nuts!!! why am i hearing about how attracted callum is to tommy for half the fucking book😭😭😭 jesus tone that shit down!! i wanna hear about callum being attracted to nero, the actual mc of the book pls💀 anyway, this was a disappointing follow up….there was never any tangible development between the mcs like i had hoped for….maybe that author’s foreword from book one should’ve been here😬 also all the baby drama….y’all are MESSY🤣🤣
Well, I am glad that I actually gave this series another shot thanks to my fellow GR friend DarienMoya. This one was so much better than the last 🙏🏼. I have to say that some of the questions I had from the last book were answered here. So I feel somewhat better. My only complaint is Callum to be honest. He is ridiculously immature, to the point he was getting very unlikeable IMO. Then he had an epiphany and all was right with the world lol. Still I wish something would have happened to one of the MCs (can’t say since it might be a spoiler to some). I guess I will have to wait and see if it possibly happens in Tommy’s story...
I really enjoyed the first book and the characters, pack politics, and general atmosphere made for a good time. But I was disappointed that this follow up to Nero and Callum’s HFN had them spending so much time apart. I wanted more of them getting closer at the pack house, more scenting, and more trust growing between them. Instead, Nero made some not smart choices and let the communication between them totally break down while Callum misinterpreted Nero’s closed off feelings. Callum spent more time with his best friend Tommy and with Nero’s daughter Gabby than with Nero. I really liked the main characters and would have loved more time with them together than we got and that made their HEA feel lackluster.

Loyal: Bonded to the Alpha was a little bit better than book ones of the series. Communication and misunderstandings are authors bread and butter because us as the readers are looking for the HEA that we know the characters deserve. But sometimes those misunderstandings can turn the reader off.
Each book is getting a little better let's see what book three is about.
Excellent tension, some hot as hell outdoor semi-exhibition sex, adorable 4 year old werewolf girl, and *finally* some resolution by the end of the book, at least for Callum and Nero. Now, for the next set of conflicted men in this pack...can't wait!

* Fyi about 🌶️ levels: I rate spice on a combination of quantity, quality, length, intensity and explicitness of the scenes. K!nks are listed separately and generally do not directly affect the steam level to keep it fair for non k!nky books.
"We're in my sister's house. My sister's seen you naked." "Your sister did not seem to mind." Because my sister is, apparently, a pervert. "Maybe I mind."
This was a good wrap up to the first book - Nero and Callum are still having communication issues despite literally being able to feel each others' emotions. It doesn't help that jealousy is running rampant - Callum's ex comes to town and a rival alpha wants Nero to mate with her pack members. Callum and Nero may be bonded but they still need to secure their bond for themselves and the good of the pack.
I'm interested in reading the next one because I want Hamish to have to deal with his own spitfire.
Eh... I'm glad this one at least gave an HFN to the first book's lack of romantic resolution, but I think I liked it even less for the same issues I had with the first one: how attracted Callum was to others (Hamish, Tommy) and how wishy washy his and Nero's whole connection felt. Also, the story itself was kind of interesting and dramatic I guess, but it felt like they were only on-page together for about one tenth of the time. Overall, I'm left feeling pretty disgrunted and unsatisfied by this romance, but I'm going on to the third book in the series since it's a new couple, and crossing my fingers that it will be more satisfying as I *know* this author got more and more skilled as a storyteller as she went on.
This book builds slightly on the first book but it's missing something. The bond seems so weak and the ending felt very abrupt. I wish there was a good reason for Callum not to become a werewolf and to shut that door so firmly. I really thought the next book would be Nero and Callum again because their story is so, so not done but it's not. I can only hope the next book gives them some time to the reader.
Elements about the first two in this series made me a little uncomfortable, much as with her Boy Next Door books - nothing to make me stop reading but enough to not 100% recommend, unlike Collar For His Brat or Something Wicked. Maybe something about the inevitability of the bond? The emphasis on submission outside the bedroom? Not sure. But I keep reading.
Was ok. Still don't understand why Callum wanted to stay human when there wasn't any negatives to being a wolf? It was just kind of bland and OH MY GOD CAN'T THEY JUST TALK TO EACHOTHER?! their bond ia the most useless thing ever which makes me wonder why its even written for them to have it
Enjoyable sequel to the first book. I liked getting to see Nero and Callum settle more into their relationship and come to a better understanding, and I'm definitely curios about the next book's relationship.
This book had a bit of everything. Steamy romance broody drama action ect... a great read. It makes you want to read the next book. It doesn't really give ant hints and I liked that... .
Furthering the interesting dynamic between Callum and Nero, book two builds more tension and introduces more characters. The pack connections are interesting and it's a fascinating world Robin has built here.
Super frustrating that lack of communication is the plot driver for this. I also was not crazy about there being 5 POVs. The last 20-ish% of the book was exciting, but the middle was a bit of a slog.
A wonderfully written story. One that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Finding out what the characters are going to do about one another when it comes yo true love.
