Wow it's getting better.

This second book was definitely much better than the first one. I will read the 3rd book in the series since its already out and can't wait to read the next book. My only complaint about this book will be that it seem shorter than even the first one. Than again it could just be that it was a bit more exciting than the first book and I might've rad too fast.

Awesome read

Going straight into book two. An incredible and well written story. I couldn't put it down. Fast paced, very real characters. A must read.

First there were a lot of spelling, grammar, punctuation issues and incorrect word usage (though "mellow dramatic" is kind of funny). The incredible and hard to believe luck of the Burrows family continues. Ian and Mary are able to survive a flood from a damaged dam in an Airstream trailer...amazing! The Burrows' friends, the Tillers, are missing a son on a Scouting trip and Ian finds him...incredible! Enemy forces are Chinese and Grace is able to speak Russian and Chinese and listen to their conversations...udivitel'nyy (means amazing in Russian). The Burrows and Tillers are able to attack the enemy saboteurs with the help of the teenage Scouts...amazing and irresponsible. They need to get over the ridge fast and there is a helicopter and...wait for it...Ian can fly it! Anti-gun Mary is a stone killer on the chopper's machine gun...wow! Several people including the dog are shot, but Violet Tiller is a trauma nurse and set up to do surgery...spectacular! All of this is really just beyond belief and inconceivable. When it ends with the Burrow, including teenage Grace, getting a signal that the CIA needs their help...I'm done with the series.

Readable, but gag! Prepper focused, too many gratuitous explanations helping ensure readers don’t have to figure out anything, participants know more than is reasonable for survivors (omniscience?), misogynist, predictably unrealistic scenarios, and unreal coincidences.

Ok

Decently written with the expected senerio of
a book written about the United States after an attack on our soil.

Red dawn ....again

So it's Red Dawn....twisted but still. They don't yell wolverines...but it's families fighting for good. So far a worthy read

Plausible scenario

Good series so far.....just wish it was all one book. This could really happen. We all should be prepared for something like this. If it never happens, I can take a vacation camping and still be well supplied.

Do you like drones? Neither does Ian Burrows, especially when they are hunting him.
