This book was a surprise to me. The first few chapters gave information on how to write hymns. I do not want to aspire to being a hymn writer, but as a pianist, I appreciated her instruction and insight into how they are written.
Following these chapters, she included many songs she's written. One I recognized. Several I loved and wish I knew the melodies. I also appreciated that she included some background on why the hymn was written.
