★★ 2 UGH STARS!
After 3-4 days finally I finished it. Alaska Angelini always my top fave for DARK and BDSM category and I always have high expectation especial with Captive to the Dark series. Chase is her newest book and I finally had the chance to read it, because why? I couldn't resist the blurb. Sinful priest? Yeah...
Kit came to Untold for searching his brother. When she witnessed something didn't mean to see, she ran away. Afraid of distrust cops, she tumbled with a man. No, a priest. Kit think he could help found her brother. Chase Harrison or Father doesn't know anything about this woman. She claimed her brother is lawyer in the town and need help. As a priest, he has very dark dirty thought with Kit. It was instant connection. The problem is Chase suffered short term memory loss and couldn't remember anything except he's a priest. He even doubted himself. But he couldn't let go of her. He intended to keep her for himself.
I don't like how slow paced the story. Boringgg!!! It took me a long time to puzzle with Chase's memory loss. I had feeling before about who is Chase and I thought it's very deep. Apparently not. It's quite simple but it took a long time to gather it together. Maybe it's me, not you.
Kit is a strong and independent woman. I liked it about almost half of the story. The rest was just bleh. It didn't held my interest. Their insta chemistry is hard to believe. The previous Captive to the Dark series always fascinated me with how the H/h try to complete each other. But not in this story. Everything is too shallow.
The sexy times isn't sexy and HOT as I remembered. It was warm and cuddly. The BDSM scenes didn't necessary. There is no communication or whatsoever It is very lame. I simply hated it and didn't work for me. At all.

Alaska did a beautiful description of this book..read it and the warnings.
This book held me captive, I was drawn in not only by the storyline but the characters as well. I was intrigued and finding myself turning page after page with all the twist and turns. I felt the emotions, the inner turmoil of both characters. When a book grabs hold and takes you in..there is nothing like it.
This is not my first book of Alaska's and certainly won't be my last. And I will also tell you this...she certainly knows how to write a very hot sex scene! *shivers*

Alaska has hit the mark with the new set of books for Captive to The Dark. Since this book is only the beginning of the new series, I can only imagine what great work she has in store for us with these new men. Chase, of course, is not your average Priest. He's sexy, alpha and gets his way. Kit is a strong female lead and I just loved her. The chemistry between the two is off the charts hot! Kit shows up in a town that she has no clue about and certain circumstances have turned the town upside down and everyone is on edge. Chase and the town are not what they seem and Kit gets put right in the middle of it trying to figure out what in the world she has gotten herself into. Lots of twist and turns through out the book that kept me engrossed and devouring each page. I can't really say anymore because there are just too many ways to spoil it for everyone. Just go read this book because Alaska has another best seller on her hands.

I received an ARC directly from the author. This is a spoiler free review.
When I discovered this book's Hero or antihero, as the author seems to prefer to write, is a Priest I immediately went into this book expecting, well, a story about a Priest. That thought was naive and stupid because I've read Alaska's work before and should no better by now that NOTHING is ever as it seems in her books. I am happy to report that the story line goes MUCH deeper than Chase being a priest. There are several layers and twists to this story that creates intrigue and depth. Chase is a complex character as is his heroine Kit.
I enjoyed everything about this story. I won't go into detail because to do so would ruin the story for others. I will say that the sex scenes left me squirming in my seat, the story line held me captive, the twists had me constantly guessing (and guessing wrong BTW) and the ending had me laughing. I can't wait to meet the other men in this new CTTD series.

Kit comes to town looking for her brother and accidentally witnesses a man being beaten by the sheriff. She leaves the scene and literally runs into Father (Chase) who's suffering from amnesia from an attack months earlier. Both Kit and Chase are attracted to each other instantly. He's a Priest and they both know the attraction is wrong. But Chase wants Kit and is determined to keep her and see if she's the key to his memory. The town is full of secrets, but then again, so are Kit and Chase.
I liked Chase's character and had a hard time trying to figure out the secrets with the twists throughout the story. I didn't feel as strong of a connection to Kit but she's like able enough as the female lead. This story isn't dark like some of the others I've read by this author and I'm sure I'll read more in the series.

3.5 ~ 4 'SINFUL' STARS
Very sexy, read involving a priest. I enjoyed the story and while I hate reading books kn male POVs, I liked being in Chase's head.
Though, I don't think this book is for everyone. So if you're the religious type, it's best if you stay away from this one. But if you're not then just wing it!

O.M G. Chase was a sexy hot naughty priest . He was a bad man who to turned to god until he meet kit . She made him remember who he was and his memory , I felt bad for kit in the beginning but towards the end I was rooting for chase . I love alaska's books and this one didn't disappoint

Amazing ! I absolutely love Alaskas Captive to the Dark series and this new set of Dark and Dangerous men is apparently going to have me falling all over myself for them. I ended up highlighting so much in this book I'm gonna end up reading it over and over.
Yes this book is about a priest, no you will not get what you are expecting from him. You will get so much more then just a story about a priest falling for a girl and breaking his vows. Chase is nothing like you would ever imagine and holy hotness does he make you want to sin like no other. I feel like I need to go to confession after reading the interactions between Chase and Kit. Chase certainly gives my favorite book husband Slade from the first set of the CTTD books a run for his money.
It's hard to put into words whats all going on in this book without spoilers so I won't even try to go into it but all I can say is the twists and turns will have you turning the pages wanting to find out what is going to happen next and trying to unravel all the secrets that lay beneath the surface. And as always I absolutely love Alaskas female MC she was the perfect blend of strong and fragile.
Alaska you never disappoint in your story telling and ability to put the perfect movie in your mind. I can not wait to see what you come up with next for this men of this series.

Holy Hell...This was THE best captive to the dark book she has ever written. However, if you are Catholic, this book may offend you. I however, am not, so I freaking loved it!

This is a good story that captivates you, but at times it is a little confusing to follow and drawn out. Still a book that keeps you glued to your seat and flipping the pages with the dark mysterious and suspenseful story.
Chase is a Priest with Amnesia.
Kit is a young girl that hasn't heard from her brother in a while and went to try and find him.
On Kits way into the town of Untold she witnesses something traumatic and takes off, not believing what she just saw. Once in town she tries to find her brother, so he can help her with what she saw. But she is finding the people of Untold very weird. When she finally finds his office, it is closed. She tries to think of who she can tell what she saw. When she looks up and sees a Catholic Church across the street, she knows she can confess and then the priest can take care of it. Upon rushing in the door, she runs into a wall, known as Chase.
From here in the story Chase and Kit take you on a Dark wild roller coaster ride full of Mystery, Suspense, Secrets, Twists and Turns that keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next.

Holy h*ll. This book is hot. Chase, Father, future baby daddy.. come to mama. Holy crap this book is good! It so didn't go where I thought it would. There was a point where I didn't even think that it would end well. I mean it is Alaska but there was moment A.A snuck in there and I was like oh damn. But this dark romance captive story was so good. I loved Chase. He was everything. I like em nuts and boy was he crazy. He is the ultimate dark, dangerous, dom, delicious daddy and I couldn't get enough.

This story had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I loved chase and all of his darkness. Kit was a very tough woman. Wish I could read it again for the first time.

This read has it all. Dark, sexy, suspense,action, amnesia. Chase is a priest that has amnesia from being beat half to death. Kit is coming to town because she's worried about her step brother who hasn't answered his phone in months. She witnessed the sheriff chasing a half beaten man that she hits with her car. She knows the scene is not good and takes off. Then she ends up running into Chase . He might have lost his memories but he doesn't trust anyone. Kit just wants to get back to the airport but Chase wants to keep her safe and he believes Kit can help him get his memories back.

Alaska Angelini is one of my favorite authors and she never disappoints. Great job!!!!
