Oh, I like this. A great intro book for kumihimo braids and the different styles for it. Gives multiple examples of each style and how they look, the moves, etc. Informative. I especially loved the section about ENDING a braid, because I struggled with that. I wouldn't have thought to see a braids end to keep it together!

This is a great way to get into the easy and interesting craft of Kumihimo. For directions, examples, supplies lists and methods the information is complete and accurate. I have done a bit of Kumihimo in the past and essentially stuck to a single method but this book allows me to explore different methods of construction resulting in vastly different pieces. Even something as simple as measuring out twice the length of fiber as you want the finished product to be was a bit of a revelation to me. The book was well written and easy to follow. The instructions and illustrations were clear and concise.

Wonderful!

I shouldn't be surprised because I have not a read Dorothy Wood book that I didn't like.

So many variations, plus a few projects to get you going. Lists of suppliers in UK and USA, this book really does have everything for the beginner and beyond.

Only thing I didn't like was plenty of links forward in the book, to clarify or inform, but not back to where you were. So remember to bookmark.

I'm thrilled with it.
