Kori Walsh knows plenty about the darkness in the world. After watching her mother succumb to illness, Kori sunk into a deep depression that she can’t seem to snap out of, no matter who tries to help her.

As the star pitcher on his college baseball team, Landon Grayson is enjoying life as a big man on campus, and all of the perks that come with it. He has plenty of girls vying for his attention, so why is he drawn to the moody, sullen girl who claims not to be interested but still keeps showing up to watch practice every day?

As he gets to know Kori, Landon is struck by how much they have in common and he sets out to cheer her up. Can Landon show Kori that there is light after darkness, and if he does, will love blossom?

Sweet NA romance about a refreshingly mature, smart, athletic, swoon-worthy college freshman who falls for a self-professed outsider. Told in the first-person from both hero and heroine’s alternating points of view, this story traces the relationship from its beginnings--when Landon notices Kori sitting in the bleachers, watching his team at baseball practice--through the turbulence of Kori’s battle with depression, and finally to Kori and Landon’s happily-for-now resolution some months later.

The author’s voice perfectly captures the uncertainties of early adulthood and often painful transitions in life, without veering into the angst-ridden melodrama that is so common in this genre. Beautifully done! The book (and the hero) are definitely keepers.

I received this book fr an honest review.
We first meet Landon and Kori at Landon's baseball practoce . Kori is there to watch because her doctor told her she needed to get outside more and start living life again. She lost her mother a year ago. Landon is a very nice guy who wants to get to know her and reveals that he lost his mother a few years ago too. They hit it off but there are ups and downs that they go through and they develop a good friendship and relationship eventually. Kori isn't quite sure of herself but Landon brings it out in her. This is a book I could really relate to and it was a great read!

Kori and Landon have both been through the loss of a parent. Landon seems to be handling it better than Kori is. She has closed herself off from everyone. Landon see's her one day at his baseball practice and decided to introduce himself. It sparks a friendship that turns into falling for each other. This was a really cute read. You will love how Landon patiently waits for Kori to finally move on from her lose and for him to show here how to enjoy life again.

***** "Love and Light" (individual novel which is also in the "Spring Into Romance" box set) by Michele Shriver

An absolutely amazing novel. Heartwarming, heartbreaking, and simply wonderful.

Michele Shriver hit the exact right tone in this novel of two college students who both lost their mothers in two very different ways. She hits the nail on the head with her language usage and tone as well as the attitude and behavior of the main and supporting characters.

Telling the story of Landon and Kori from each of their view points adds a great deal of insight into both characters making them so realistic and easily relatable to the reader.

The storyline is very moving and powerful. One minute it tears at the heart of the reader and the next there is light and laughter. Relating to and feeling the emotions of the character's is immediate and continues to the end of the novel. It leaves the reader thinking long after the novel has ended.

The author has written a truly moving, strong, realistic and relatable novel that all readers (male and female) will fall in love with.

Come join Landon and Kori's journey of love and light...

Love & Light was a story about love that I really enjoyed.

Kori Walsh is in a dark place from a recent tragedy. She's severely depressed and spends all of her time alone. Her doctor encourages her to spend some time outdoors so she starts watching her College baseball team practice everyday. Landon Grayson is a pitcher on the College team, and enjoys life on campus. He, too, has tragedy in his past, so he notices Kori watching practice everyday and is drawn to her.

Love & Light was a very sweet, and mature story. It's in duel POVs so that rounds out the story better in my opinion. I really liked the way the author didn't write away Kori's depression after she met Landon. The book is well written, and I'm excited to read more of Michele Shriver.

Michele continues her beautiful writing in Love & Light. This is a charming book about two mature college kids, struggling with grief and using each other to lean on for comfort and support. I love the way the story develops Kori and Landon's relationship flows throughout the story with the ultimate ending.
