This has become one of my favorite Melissa's Brown books...after Wife Number Seven! It was so refreshing being a new story very different from anything that I have read prior by this author. Luke and Elle stole my heart with their love story! Red Carpet Kiss is a light, sweet romance, with some steamy moments!!This is the first love triangle book for Melissa and I can say it was a success!!She made me fall for both men..But my decision was made from the very first pages!

description

Elle has left her past behind and the man who broke her heart. Can she move on? Everything is possible when she meets Luke. He is exactly what she needs! When Troy the man from her past is back she is confused and torn between Troy and Luke. Who she will choose? The man who once owned her heart or the man who makes her happy?

description

Melissa managed once again to connect me with her characters!!Except for Gina who pissed me off many times.!Elle is strong, sweet, passionate, determined and stubborn!!I liked her and I really connected with her!Troy is an interesting character...But he isn't Luke...Luke stole my heart from the first pages!!He is so cute, honest, smart and charming!!!I could see a life for him with Elle!!They were perfect for one another! He makes her feel happy and he makes her smile!

description

The ending is perfect!!I loved it so much!!!If you are looking for a refreshing book this is exactly what you need!!Can't wait for Melissa's next book!!!

This book was seriously something. It had me guessing which guy she was going for since the beginning. Everytime I would say she should end up with that guy, a secret comes out, that automatically changes my decision; but then something else happens to another guy, and I just have up in guessing and just read on growing curiouser and curiouser every page after page. In the end, it was expected who she was going to end up with.

This book starts off with a prologue, in which you are introduced to what Eleanor does for a living, which is directing of one of television’s most beloved dramas, based on her best selling novels she wrote about her past relationship 10 years ago. Elle couldn’t have written a better comeback for herself. But her success doesn’t leave much room in her life for romance…until Luke Kingston enters the scene.

Luke, a stunningly handsome star, is set to play the latest love interest in Elle’s show, because her current actor is leaving to do a major movie film, and will not be back to do the show. So Elle hires Luke to be the alternate love interest for her protagonist in the drama, but there is a problem... He’s got his eye on Elle, and she can’ deny their sizzling chemistry. Then Elle has a chance encounter with Troy Saladino—the man who had been the love of her life— after going to a famous Chicago themed restaurant, and discovering that he owns the restaurant, and suddenly a million old feelings are rushing back.

With two gorgeous men pursuing her, Elle can’t decide who holds the key to her heart: her new love or her old flame.

This book kept me at the edge of my seat, and I really hope that the guy who didn't get picked, ends up with his own book, because he honestly didn't deserve that.

I liked the way the author wrote this book, that when Elle was telling her friend Whitney, instead of Elle explaining it to Whitney, she have a flashback, and I actually got to experience what Elle felt and thought in that moment. So that was good :)

I liked Whitney's character, she was like Elle's conscience.
Elle's character was a little bipolar for me, I honestly didn't like the way she kept on going after one guy when clearly she has feelings for the other, but then she hangs out with this guy because of her past relationship, but whatever, she made the right decision in the end and that's all that matters.

This is a cute/light romance book. Eleanor (Elle) is a creator and head writer of a show called Follow the Sun. Her popular stories are based on her previous relationship, a relationship that happened 10 years ago. Although Elle tries to move forward in life, she calls herself a self-saboteur because she can't forget her first love.

Then comes Luke. A new lead character in her show. Luke and Elle's attraction is strong, but Elle is confused about her feelings.

Basically... Elle's heart is torn between her past love and her current love. Sometimes I was cheering for Luke, and other times I was going for Troy.

I loved the ending, and I was giggling like a little girl through out the book.

Happy happy joy joy.

MY REVIEW

Eleanor Riley as known as Elle Riley is a successful author. Her novel Follow the Sun is a bestselling novel and made into a very popular television drama. The story is based on her own past. And it was pretty painful. In the middle of filming the 4th season of the drama, the actor who plays the hero in the story –Nolan–decided to leave. Elle is so disappointed and upset because it will ruin the whole story. So she has to make up the story and choose another actor to replace Nolan. And it’s when she meets this super hot new actor, Luke Kingston. Luke has a thing for Elle since the first time they met. And so does Elle. When they start dating casually, suddenly the man from Elle’s past –Troy–comes back to her life. Including all the pains and broken hearts she felt since ten years ago. Everything becomes so complicated after that. Elle still has feelings towards Troy, but she also can’t leave Luke. So who will she choose?

Honestly I don’t really like love triangle stories. Because one of the three must be an asshole who can’t decide who she/he wants to be with. In this case, the asshole is Elle. Elle has a very serious anxiety issue. And it really pissed me off! She keeps shutting out people who care about her because she’s too afraid to be happy.
It’s just…
description

I don’t understand people who get freak out because someone who care about them tells them the L-word. And I fucking hate this stupid “we’re still young” excuse. Seriously? So you want them to tell you “I hate you” instead??
description

And Elle is exactly that stupid person. I don’t like Elle. She’s one of those annoying heroines. She’s so confusing! One minute she says that she cares about Luke, and then one minute later they fight, and she runs to Troy. The same pattern repeats when she is with Troy. One minute they’re good, one minute later they fight, and she runs to Luke. She’s playing people’s feelings like they’re just a toy. I really, really hate that kind of heroine.
And I’m not even sorry for saying this.
description

This story is just too complicated. I can say that all the main characters are annoying. I rolled my eyes several times while reading this book. I hate it when the characters keep changing their mind and can’t be consistent with their decisions. One minute they want this, and then suddenly they changed their mind again and say they want that. The pattern keeps repeating like this and make the story seems has no conclusion. It makes me confuse and dizzy to process what the hell is actually going on 困

And not to mention the drama!! ERGGHH!
description
description
description

Just glad that it has a good ending. I don’t really recommend this though. So if your heart is strong enough to face an annoying heroine and all the confusing dramas, feel free to give this book a try.

I really enjoyed this story, again Melissa Brown doesn’t disappoint.

Luke won my heart the moment he came into the picture. He is that character that you swoon over immediately. He is down to earth, honest, smart and gorgeous. He is a gentlemen and he is patient.

Elle is a bit of a woman scorned. She is her own worst enemy. When it comes to her professional and personal life, she needs to be in control and things need to be done in her time. I have to admit, I got frustrated with her a few times because she would completely shut herself off and get mad when her friends were just telling her the truth of things. She created her own heart ache. No matter what, she was able to make it through with the help of her best friend Whitney. . Elle is a stubborn and determined when it comes to work but when it comes to herself, her heart and her happiness, she ends up losing her confidence.

Then there is Troy. Troy and Elle have an interesting and angsty past. Their relationship was like a roller-coaster. When they finally were in a good place, their relationship crumbled to pieces.

When Elle finally finds a bit of happiness again, Troy makes a very unexpected appearance and that leaves Elle confused. All of those feelings she buried come crashing back to the surface. She finds herself torn between the two men. Does she give the guy who had her heart another chance or does she take a chance on her newfound happiness?

I was on a roller-coaster of emotions, sad, shock, heartache, happiness, frustration, anger but most of all love. If you are looking for a drama filled, angsty and romantically endearing read, look no further.

As a hopeless romantic, I can never go wrong with a Melissa Brown novel! Red Carpet Kiss is all I wanted and more. I am usually not one for triangles, but Luke made all things good in my adventure through the life of Elle.

Elle is successful, by anyone else's standards... on top of the world. Even with everything going her way, she is still having a hard time getting over Troy and her failed marriage 10 years ago. When Luke Kingston walks into her auditions... she is stunned at how much she is attracted to the devastatingly handsome actor that had her from hello. The only problem is that her past collides with her present, sending Elle into confusion. Can she let go of the man who has held her captive for the past 10 plus years, or will she take a chance with the man who is filling her tomorrow with hope.

I loved everyone involved - primary and secondary characters that grab hold of you. This book was little more angsty than previous books by Melissa in my opinion, so if you want a good angsty ride - Red Carpet Kiss is all for you!

I loved certain aspects of this book. The details that Melissa Brown gave about the industry and what goes into filming a TV series easily painted this book in vivid color. Whitney was a realistic life long best friend. She always had Elle's back even if she made mistakes. The Hollywood actors are what I would imagine them to be in real life. Full of themselves, deceiving, back stabbing.

Luke. Wow. Luke was perfect to me. I can't imagine a teenager or woman in her early 20s to agree. He wasn't bossy or dramatic or verbally abusive. He was everything Elle needed. He was the balm to her stormy soul.

Elle. Gah. I hate indecisive heroines. Top thing to dislike in a book. Surprisingly the "love triangle" didn't bother me. Because I could see what Elle couldn't see all along. As Luke so truthfully stated, she just wanted to live in her memories and guilt.

Thank you sweet baby Jesus for the last 5% of this book! It was a save for me!

Elle wrote novels based on her past with Troy. These turned into "Follow the Sun", the most successful show on TV, nominated for various awards. But with Luke, moving on suddenly seems possible - until Troy is back, her feelings are all muddled and Luke seems to be all in for a little Showmance.

A story, so different from others.
Never have I read about so many love triangles in one story. I didn't see that coming, when she started to include Luke into, what actually was her and Troy's story. Actually, I only got that after I finished reading, that she changed her own story by changing the show.

I didn't feel much angst through this but I wanted to know what's going to happen next. I was all invested, mostly because of Luke, who stole my heart early on. He's so sweet, smart and charming, I rooted for him so much. I loved how honest he was and open, from the beginning. He's just too perfect, so understanding and puts up with all the shit she gives him. Then again, here this is proof for why he's so much better! And given where he was coming from, he's understandable.

And I cared for Elle, even though I didn't understand her most of the time. There she was, all the time like he broke her heart, when in fact she broke his. Seriously, getting married, then wanting annulment but to stay together? Troy was a douche before and after their relationship and it was absolutely right to not commit to him. But still, I didn't get her problem. And I get when a woman doesn't know what exactly she wants. But dating both of them, really really dating them? I grew more and more irritated with her, every step through the story. As if being honest about it made this any better...
Then she's the one questioning him all the time, never thinking of the possibility to trust. She's just irrational most of the time, from not being able to commit to Troy in the first place to not being able to commit to Luke because she wasn't able to let go of Troy for good...

Then I felt so sorry for Whitney, when Elle let her hanging because she couldn't handle the truth. And how crazy was that love triangle? The guy being with both, then having one in secret and still going back to the other?

I did like Troy but he couldn't compare to Luke. Then I learned about Amanda, before, between and after them and I didn't get why she even considered it. And how crazy was Gina? The only character here, I didn't care much about, but her craziness was hilarious. As the night of the Globes with Elle, Troy, Luke, Gina, Nolan and Whitney at the same table. I knew this would be good but I absolutely loved it. And having the POVs of the two men made me understand so much better.

In the end, they're amazing together and I enjoyed the story so much, I'm sure going to look for more from the author.

Note: This ARC was provided by Montlake Romance in exchange for an honest review.

Red Carpet Kiss is a standalone contemporary romance from Melissa Brown about a bestselling author turned nominated show runner and screenwriter who is torn between her past and her present and needs to decide on who she wants to spend her future with. I love that the characters in this book are in their mid-thirties because there are times I find myself reading one new adult (NA) or young adult (YA) book after another. Of course, they're being mature adults doesn't immediately mean that they aren't prone to making stupid mistakes or choosing to do things that make no sense to readers like us who are left to merely observe and not become actively involved by slapping them upside the head a few times. ^.^

While I certainly didn't agree with several of things that Elle did, I liked the idea that she had the opportunity to either find closure and a new beginning with Luke or a second chance with Troy. When relationships end, there are a lot of what-ifs that you can find yourself contending with, as was the case with Elle. There are love affairs that are meant to finish and then there are those that deserve a second chance. There's a difference between not meaning to hurt someone and purposely hurting them and that's why, while I understood why Troy was terribly hurt by what Elle did to him in Vegas, his treatment of her was reprehensible, especially when you realize that there was a pattern of behavior already established. Had it been a one-time thing then it would have been more acceptable, but this was inexcusable.

This book left me wishing there were more guys in real life like Luke Kingston. Goodness, there was nothing to NOT like about him. The stuff he said and did would make any girl all giddy and I felt that Elle was taking it all for granted, believing he would always be there. Her best friend truly was the voice of reason, but then, even when advice is sought out, there's no requirement for you to take and follow it. Frustrating, isn't it? But yes, Luke was the numero uno reason I enjoyed this read, though the creative touch to the usual Hollywood slash second chance contemporary romance was a close second. ^.^ This was my first Melissa Brown book and am now interested to check out her other books, especially if they're as good as Red Carpet Kiss. This makes for a fun but introspective read and gets 4.5 stars, rounded off to five stars for Goodreads. ♥

What a Fun and Sexy read. This was well written and I loved all of the supporting characters and I am hoping to see a couple of these in another story.

Elle Riley best selling author turned into a successful creator, head writer and show runner of one of the most popular TV drama "Follow The Sun". The show is based on her life with her first love, Troy Saladino and their on again off again friends to lovers story that ended in divorce 36 hours after getting married. Elle is a perfectionist who has buried herself in her work and lives with the pain and regret of a past love through every episode. When her leading man turns in his notice that he will not be back the next season she is forced to hire a new love interest for the female lead.

Enter devastatingly handsome, sexy, charismatic, and ridiculously talented Luke. Just the thought of him is exhilarating to Elle and he is taken by her also, and although Elle is apprehensive about dating an actor on her show the allure is to great. When she runs into her past on a date with her new boyfriend she has a decision to make and it is going to be a hard one. It has been ten years since she has seen or spoken to Troy, but he can still make her heart flip.

All of a sudden Elle is in a Love Triangle with two men vying for her affections, and other complications with behind the scenes drama that surrounds Hollywood celebrities that you just can't resist. Who will she pick? Will she be able to put the past and her regret behind her? Will Elle and Troy pick up the pieces and write a new story? You are just going to have to read this to find out. Loved this Fun Sexy Read! This was entertaining and fun as well as filled with drama. Loved Luke, he was charming , sexy and so persistent. This is the first book that I have read of Melissa Brown's and it won't be my last she kept me on the guessing who Elle would pick to the end. Highly Recommend this story. LOVED IT!

review I always know that when I open a Melissa Brown book that I will be entertained with a love story fitting for a Hollywood romance movie.  So, when she shared the synopsis for Red Carpet Kiss I knew that the combo of Hollywood glitz and Brown was a match made in reader heaven.

Eleanor is living the dream as her bestselling novels have hit the small screen in a big way.  Fame comes at a price as she relives the pain of a past love through every episode.  Her ties to the show and her love of The Beatles drive her daily.  Right down to the show title she is surrounded by this iconic band.  When the past meets the present Eleanor is faced with a decision she once only wrote about.

I have followed Melissa Brown from the start.  She has become of my favorite authors.  Her stories have grown with her, showcasing her continued pursuit for a quality heartwarming story.  Red Carpet Kiss is a well written, filled with symbolism, likable primary and secondary characters, and a love story that will have you singing All You Need Is Love.  A must read for any hopeless romantic.

I could not wait to dig into this Hollywood setting and land right on the red carpet!

Melissa Brown has delivered and yet again left me a happy reader. I never hesitate to pick up one of this author’s books, as some of them have landed on my list of favorites.

This book was the perfect light romance with just the right amount of everything! I have a habit of calling a few of Melissa’s books “chick flicks”, but I can’t help it…. They are the type of stories/movies you just love to curl up to and binge on. I love Melissa’s characters and can always count on her to make me happy and content by the time I read “the end” in every one of her books. No need to worry if you are the type that turns the other way when you hear the words “love triangle”, Red Carpet Kiss was probably as pleasant as they come with regards to them. I don’t want to go into detail because I don’t want to spoil anything.

This love triangle kept me guessing who Elle was going to end up with until the end. I really liked both Luke and Troy so I was not stressing out too much over how it was all going to end. The only part that stressed me out was trying to figure out what the heck was wrong with Elle… why is she so guarded and how did she let Troy get away in the first place?!?

Make sure to pick up your copy and let me know what you think…. I hope she ends up with the man you are cheering for!

I've been a fan of Melissa's since grabbing The Bouquet Toss for free years ago. Her writing lets you feel the emotions and get close enough to the characters to call them "friends". This is her first adventure with a love triangle and she succeeds! It's not that Elle is choosing between two random guys and she's sleeping around cheating on both of them. Elle is torn between a second chance with someone from ten years ago and new man she is falling for. I pulled for Troy and then I pulled for Luke, I couldn't wear a shirt to support either one. She had me just as confused but ultimately she made the right choice. Elle knew in her heart and I was actually reading the last chapter through cloudy eyes, truly happy. On a side note, Melissa loves her pop culture and if you do too you'll smile at Seinfield references and Beatle songs. Thank you to Melissa and Netgalley for sharing a copy with me so I could leave my honest review. Grab this book and then get her others, you will love them.

I really enjoyed Red Carpet Kiss, much more than I thought. I generally am skeptical of love triangles, but I am not sure if this story was really a love triangle or a available story of self discovery.
Elle is an author who sold her series of books and now is running her own prime time drama. The issue is that its about her lost love and I am not sure if this has allowed her to on mpve past the pain and guilt she feels.
Luke is an actor on her show who she feels an immediate connection to ands as they spend time together their chemistry and affection grows. Thats when things change when at dinner Elle runs into the lost love that all her success is based on Troy.
I enjoyed the story as Elle sees that what she thought she wanted things change and she grows from that. I would have liked more back story on Luke, he is a great guy and would hace loved to know where this comes from. Especially since he says multiple times that this was the first time felt love and would have liked to learn more.

All in all a great summer story.

I fell absolutely head over heels in love with this book. I am a sucker for a Hollywood romance and this one was delicious. Elle is such a complex women and I love the fact that she is 35! It is so refreshing to read about characters closer to my own age. Elle carries some serious baggage from her past relationship with Troy and Luke is just a breath of fresh air. This is a love triangle, but it was done very well. All parties involved knew about the other parties involved. It was real. I will admit that I had my heart set on one gentleman the entire time and I was never swayed to the other side but in all honesty I never knew who she would choose. I loved that about this book. It was well written, honest and so easy to connect with. Plus it takes place in Hollywood so you know there will be some behind the scenes drama you just cant resist. I loved the supporting characters and would love to see a spin off with a couple of them.

Melissa Brown's new book Red Carpet Kiss is a great read! Melissa Brown always writes amazing stories. In this book Eleanor(Elle) Riley is looking to see where are heart will lead her. She will need to choose between a love from the past or a new love.

I love this book! It was the perfect love triangle! There were times I was hoping Elle would choose one way and than I would be completely swayed another. I am one who hopes that love from the past can shine through but a new love can put you somewhere completely different. Troy is such a different character than Luke. I found some great qualities with both Troy and Luke. There was also some qualities I didn't care for in both men. In the end I can see why Elle choice won her heart!

I love the story between all the characters. Melissa Brown book had me hooked all the way to end!

Elle has herself in quite the dilemma, two men, who should she choose? The one that got away from her past, or the young new "it" star from her show. The ups and downs made my head spin a few times in this book, but overall it was an adorable read. The ending was awesome, it just took awhile to get there. I loved the storyline, it was a novel read and the characters were fantastic. I hope there will be a spinoff with some of the characters, I want them all to have their own happy ending.

ARC from NetGalley for honest review. The story of a strong MC , Elle, and her interesting dilemma was relatable to me. I love the way it played out as the capacity to love two men when only one is your soul mate but working through your own issues which Elle did realize at a point where I wanted to stand up and applaud.

I say" great times " reading all the angles and complexities of the story and the rich characters. I hope Whitney gets her own story as she was truly fun and a true friend.

I am currently at 78% and I am unsure I will be able to finish this book. I am currently on Team-No One. Or maybe Luke-he seems innocent in all of this, but I have not read the entire book. He could be doing something equally as immature/annoying as both Elle and Troy did/are doing. Ugh.

1- I loathe Elle. I really, really hate her. She is supposed to be 35?! I know 25 years olds with more maturity than her. And her incessant whining is just...no. I cannot. Lets start from the beginning: She has been in love with Troy for her entire life (regardless if she actually knew this or not). They go on a camping trip and explore their budding feelings for each other. They have sex. He wants more, she runs. Because, obviously that is a totally rational thing to do when you have sex with your best friend. But, I could forgive her for that since they were only 19. Years go by and they are still best friends. She has to get drunk to tell him that she, again, is in love with him. They jump into another relationship and have a blissful 1 year. Yet, at 25, when he proposes (really sweetly btw, remembering every detail that she wanted it to be like)she FREAKS out AFTER she says 'I Do' because she isn't ready. Now this can be a perfectly honest reason not to get married, but she literally has full blown panic attacks AFTER THEY ARE MARRIED which I don't understand considering how long her and Troy have known each other and how he is with her. What the hell? She messed up BIG TIME. And then she expected him to be okay with that? Oh, honey. No.
Flash forward 10 years and they randomly meet again because they are living in the same area. BUT she is now in the 'seeing someone' stage of a relationship with Luke. She still has feelings for Troy. But she doesn't want to give up Luke. She is seeing both. Stringing poor Luke along, when god knows that she and Troy have not gotten their shit together. She accuses Luke of basically cheating on her with Gina, and she makes excuses that he can't possibly love her. None of this makes senses since she 'still needs time' to figure out what her and Troy have. Here is a tip Elle: YOU HAVE NOTHING. You both have emotional issues-which you continually cause. You string guys along knowing you have commitment issues and a problematic type A personality. Honestly, if I were Luke I would have RUN in the opposite direction and not looked back. For as much as Elle claims to not like drama, she seems to make all of the drama in her life. (This is always the case with those girls who claim this btw)

2- Troy. Ugh. I wanted to like him because it's basically Elle who causes all of the relationship drama. But for every time she starts the drama, he finishes it. He likes to retaliate with his ex that Elle hates. And a kid comes out of it. I just really can't deal with the games these two play. Elle really needs to get her shit together. Troy needs to figure out if he really wants to deal with her anymore and either walk away, or just stop. The fact that he knew she was in the same area as she was for years, didn't reach out to her, watched all of her show, read all of her books, and knew all of that was about them, and he still said nothing, but then seeing her makes him to want to [reluctantly] start something with her again...it just shows how much that their relationship is a toxic one. It is just not good.

Bottom line (at 78%):
Luke: Run the other way. Fast.
Troy: Stay away from Elle. She brings you down and turns you into a teenage girl with revenge tendencies.
Elle: Figure your shit out. See a counselor about your commitment issues. Stop living in the past-it's hindering your future and it's really annoying. YOU ARE CAUSING THE SUCKAGE IN YOUR LIFE. STOP.

5 Star Review by Allison East

I am never disappointed when I read a book by Melissa Brown. There is always the perfect amounts of enough. There is just enough insta-love, just enough sexy time, just enough love and emotion. I love that it is just the right amount. Too much insta-love and it makes me cringe, too much sexy time and I want to roll my eyes, and too much love and emotion and it makes it seem unrealistic- and vice versa with not enough. That makes a perfect author to me- where it’s not over the top and unbelievable. I want to believe that this world exists, and Melissa did a great job!

Eleanor Riley is on top of the world, she has written a series of bestselling books- that have been made into a drama series on television. And it should seem like enough, television and work family- she has in spades, but what she really wants is her own family. She just doesn’t have the time, when is she ever going to just sit down and relax?? I sound like her best friend Whit- who I loved by the way!

Luke Kingston is the debonair new actor on the scene that is vying for a role in Elle’s television series, and when he sees Elle- he starts to really fall hard. He is such a fantastic character in this story- Melissa really does some great characterization with him. At first you feel like he may just be into Elle because he wants the role- or he would do anything to get his way to the top. But over the course of the chapters, you really do fall in love with Elle and Luke’s relationship.

And then there is Troy Salidino- who represents all of Elle’s past. They were friends, first and foremost, and then they tried the lover’s thing- only to leave one another heartbroken by everything. He was the love of her life and vice versa- or so she thought. But after a chance meeting when they see each other again- sparks fly and Elle wonders why things didn’t work out, and she starts to think he deserves a second chance. And there goes Melissa again, making me fall in love with Troy too.

I couldn’t decide at first who I loved more. And that is the power of writing, you get so wrapped up in the story you forget that one of the guys is her past, one is her present- and both could be her future. So who does Elle choose- guess you will have to read and find out. I love all of Melissa’s books. They never make me freak out, or wonder where she is going with it- because I ultimately figure it out, and swoon the whole way through. I am in love- and awe- of her writing. And I am truly lucky and grateful for her in my life. Becoming her beta reader was and is such a privilege, she never lets me down. And very often my critique is “keep doing what you’re doing.” She’s that good. I received a copy in exchange for my honest review, and I hope everyone picks up a copy of this book!

Eleanor/Elle had created the character of Riley, and was head writer and showrunner of “ Follow The Sun” the most popular television drama. Elle was also a perfectionist. The show was based on her novels. It meant everything to Elle. Trey had broken Elle’s heart and that is what the show is based on. The scenes had to right because if Troy happened to watch her show it showed she was whole, fulfilled, and satisfied. Linus was Elle's terrier and she had just turned 35, and was celebrating at home with Linus. Ten years before she had married and it lasted thirty six hours. Elle's best friend was Whitney and even she didn’t know everything. Troy and Elle had became friends in ninth grade and together most of the time their teen years. Then Nolan her show's male lead announces he is leaving the show but Luke takes his place once he is gone. Elle and Luke have some hot chemistry between them. Then Elle and Luke go to a famous restaurant and encounter Troy as he owns it. Now Elle is very confused about what to do.
I loved this story. I thought the plot was great. I was ready to hate Troy when he came back into the picture but he did win me over. I truly enjoyed this story and the characters were excellent. Especially Elle and all the twists and turns she goes through. I highly recommend.
I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

OHHHH I love me a Hollywood romance book! Then add in a love triangle and it is a glorious mix! I have a serious love hate thing with love triangles. They make me all anxious that the heroine won’t pick the guy I really like. I get all angsty and nervous.

Eleanor (Elle) is a big time author with a television show. When her lead actor needs to be replaced she must find a new leading man. The television show is based on her novel which is loosely based on her life. It is like art imitating life imitating art. Elle was a strong MC. I loved that she really was down to earth in the Hollywood life.

Luke who is an actor hired for the new role is sexy and romantic. He too wasn’t a cocky Hollywood type we read so much about in magazines or in other romance novels.

An ex, Troy appears on the scene to mess with the delicate balance of life and love for Elle. They had a past that was never resolved. This is where all my nerves get the best of me and I pray the author picks the “right one”. Lol! I won’t tell you know she picks, you have to suffer just like I did.

I really love Melissa Brown’s writing. It seems too effortless to read and the characters really seem to come to life as I read. I am a huge fan and I highly recommend this hot romance and love triangle!

I always know that when I open a Melissa Brown book that I will be entertained with a love story fitting for an Hollywood romance movie.

Another winner from Melissa Brown! I loved Elle, Troy and Luke. They stole my heart and at different times and for different reasons I was cheering for each of them. I loved how the Beatles played such an integral part to this story, and flowed so well. It was a sweet love story with just enough angst to keep you intrigued, but not to boggle it down. I knew which guy I wanted to "win" in the end. He was just the right guy, the one who completed Elle, and challenged her in all the right ways. I am so glad Melissa didn't disappoint!! I loved the ending. Loved how the story had to end for one story, and a new beginning had started for another couple. It was wonderfully written in true Ms. Brown fashion. I can't wait to see how she captures my attention and heart next!

Elle does actually come across as a lonely soul.

Wow, I really enjoyed this one. I had such a strong emotional reaction to Elle; that complete frustration with her behavior was what kept me so engaged with the story. Believe it or not, the characters themselves, almost felt like a side bar to the actual plot. I know that my explanation may seem weird, but the this love triangle almost seemed flat and one dimensional . As wonderful and charming as Luke came across, something was missing; and Troy just could never win me over. The angst of this story was Elle, and her flip, flop behavior had me literally yelling at my Kindle. All in all, this is an entertaining read.

I love Melissa Brown novels but I found myself struggling a bit through this story. I appreciate the character development as well as the relationship dynamics created but I found I often wanted to shake some sense in to Elle. With that said, I feel Melissa was able to make me really feel the uncertainty Elle was experiencing which helped me get through some of my feelings of disconnect and annoyance with the character.

While this is not my favorite Melissa Brown novel, I still enjoyed many aspects of the story and am looking forward to future works.

A fun, sexy surprise. Drama within a drama. Red Carpet Kiss is not your average love story. Set in the backdrop of show biz, it's anything but ordinary. The world of fame, television and make believe adds an element of mystique. Add in a highly rated television series and a love triangle between the show's writer (Elle), star (Luke) and a former love (Troy) and sparks definitely fly. This is my first time reading Melissa Brown but it will not be the last. Red Carpet Kiss is sexy, funny and addictive. Received an ARC for an honest review.

Loved this book. And praise to the high pickle that there wasn't any insta-love (insta-attraction, yes but no insta-love). The writing was fantastic and the characters had depth. Though I did want to throttle Elle from page 1, I could relate to her self-saboteur ways. I'm so happy she ended up with who she ended up with hehe. Enjoyed this read and looking forward to more from this author.

I went into this expecting greatness and I wasn't dissapointed. The story pulled me in and didn't let go. I was torn between who I wanted her to end up with during some of the book but was so happy with her decision. It was one of those books that leave you with a happy sigh at the end and the characters will stay with me. Just amazingly beautiful and sweet.
