I really enjoyed the style of writing, where each chapter is a vignette. I would read one chapter and really think about some of the views expressed before moving on.
The book also made me think about how I show up in the world with people who think differently than me and how I could do better. Highly recommend!

Easy to read collection of stories addressing who we are as Americans outside our social media political bloodsport selves. Engaging vignettes of some truly remarkable people, who work to listen, in search of common ground. Hopeful, but never naive. Bravo Bill!

Fabulous book! These are such interesting stories and show us that people from two sides of the aisle who are very strident can still find a way to get along.

Succinct, entertaining chapters as the author travels around the country, finding commonalities in our communities that are deeply divided. Loved it!
I did not read every chapter, but read enough to get the gist of what the author was trying to convey.
