Joy Thomas does it again, she got me hooked!
A second chance for both Lexi and the hot alpha Kris Winters. It was sparks at first glance!
Lexi is still reeling from a very bad ending to a relationship a year ago and she just will not take a chance with anyone else.
Kris has a secret in his past, but one glance at Lexi behind the bar of his club and his chest constricts.
The passion in this story is overwhelming! I am anxious to read the next part of this highly addictive story.
I was gifted this book for an honest review.

When I began the book, I was only intending on reading a little bit then going to bed. That didn't happen. I ended up reading in one sitting and it felt like I hadn't spent anytime at all reading because it captured in the story. It has a natural flow and even a realistic approach to paranormal version of "real woman with a past meets alpha millionaire". Look forward to seeing what happens next. Sometimes the past comes back and you either have to face it or walk away. Read to find out what happens.

I was given this book for an honest review. It's about Lexi who is head bartender at Club Winter, not interested in any man until her boss Kris Winter's comes to town. As soon as Kris see's her, he feels the pull towards her, his inner wolf says "Mine". The rest you need to read to find out. Amazing book with cliffhangers, a must read.

Kris has only stopped in at his club as he has a few things to sort out. He walks into the bar and he can feel the pull instantly. He looks up and sees her behind the bar. Lexi looks up when she feels someone watching her. She's not interested in any man and anyway she has work to do. She takes the nights takings to the office. When she turns to leave his there right behind her, he followed her. His a alpha male, his an arrogant asehole and she's having none of it. He looks at her and one word comes to mind....MINE! Lexi is gorgeous and fiesty and she will be his and only his. He would make sure of it. His sister offers her a bartending job at a private party which happens to be at his home. When she arrives it's not much of a party. When she slips away to go the bathroom and returns everyone is gone. She thinks she's going but Kris has other ideas!
This book was put together and written well. There is lots of information, so you have a good understanding of whats going on. I've enjoyed the storyline so far and the characters are strong. However, I think that the love scenes are a little drawn out and a bit repetitive. There's lots of chattiness going on through these scenes which gets a bit much at times and alot of the sounds that don't quite seem right, as in spelling. But saying that I did really enjoy this book overall. It is left on a cliffhanger and I'm looking forward to reading book 2!

I was given this book for an honest review. My goal last night was to only read half and then finish the rest today. I got so wrapped up in the story I could not put it down. Next think I know I am finishing the book at 1 A.M.
I so loved Lexi. She is a spirited confident plus size woman. I love that Lexi was not weak spirited. She knew how to stand her ground; she let no one run over her. With everything she went thru in her pass, something like that would make you or break you. Want to know more, well read the book.
Kris Winters was a very nice looking Alpha werewolf who owned Club Winters were Lexi worked as a bartender. When Kris saw Lexi he could feel something stir inside him. He wanted her. His wolf wanted her. Of course Lexi being strong headed was going to fight him tooth and nail to resist him.
This is a great story of a couple who are on the journey of healing and love. Will they allow themselves to heal? Will they fall in love? Well read the book to find out. You will not be disappointed.
If you love romance werewolf books then you will fall in love with this one. Kris Winters will sweep you off your feet and you cannot help but fall in love with Lexi.

I love her writing and how she puts the story and characters together. Most of her stories are short sweet and too the point and of course the dreaded cliff hanger.
This one I liked it well enough..its a quick easy read, not a lot of detail...which I’m sure most will be explained in the books to come.
Both Kris and Lexi seems to be hiding secrets...who’s will be revealed first? Kris basically a out of town Alpha is back for a visit to his club, his sister... Lexi running away from a past and now back home working in a club as a bar tender, not only is she capable she got all kind of tude to back up her sassiness.
When they both meet its not all handshakes and kisses...
I do like the characters and how they relate to the story, just something was off the mark a bit for me, being a short story which I love I didn’t get the “bang”. Ms Thomas writes with her heart and passion shows through, it really does from the personalities of her characters, to the plot.. The heated scenes and yes as well as the cliff hanger. I look forward to seeing where Kris and Lexi goes from here. Enjoy

Lexi was Club Winters head bartender. She was secure of herself, big, curvy and very fond of her body. But she has been deceived. She had not known that Trevor, her boyfriend, was married and that made her suspicious and distrust of men. She had nothing to do with men for more than a year. Now there was Kris, Club Winters owner. He was the alpha wolf of Vancouver, sexy, arrogant and she was attracted to him. And she was not the only one who felt the attraction. Trevor felt a strong pull as soon as he had seen Lexi. But something was holding back Trevor and his is sister was trying to help him. This was an easy reading story with a good pace, an interesting plot and lot of sex. The author introduces bits of information that make the reader eager to discover the mystery behind. He was a wolf, the alpha of the city. Why Kris was questioning his attraction to Lexi? A human? And her scars? What all this means? From the first time they met there was chemistry between Lexi and Kris and the narrations were very steamy. Hope to get second part soon because liked the story and how the author builds the suspense. I’m very intrigued. Love the shifters.

Lexi is a spirited confident woman. I love that Lexi was a strong woman. She knows how to stand up for herself and others; she lets no one take advantage of her. Lexi has had a bad experience in her past which makes her very wary of starting another relationship.
Kris Winters is a very good looking Alpha werewolf who owns Club Winters were Lexi works as a bartender. When Kris first sees Lexi he is drawn to her and he and his wolf want her. Of course although Lexi is a strong woman she tries to avoid Kris and the feelings he awakens in her.
If you love paranormal romance novels or series this is a must read and I cannot wait for the second in the series.

Love the start of this new series!! Mr. Winters - Alpha's Second Chance is a very fast read!! Jocelyn Thomas is a great author and once you pick up this book you won't be able to put it down!! I even went back and reread it to make sure I didn’t miss anything!! It left me wanting to read more!!

Mr. Winters (Kris) is the owner of the bar and has come into town for the weekend. Lexi is feisty and Kris is all Alpha and sparks are flying!! Kris is drawn to her and Lexi is attracted to him. The sex is combustible!! They each have history; will they each have a second chance at Love, together?

Her last relationship ended in disaster when Lexi discovered Trevor was married, so she packed up left Washington and moved back to her home town Sooke where she's been man-free for over a year.
Lexi works as head bartender at Club Winter, an exclusive club catering to VIP's, she's ready for home one night went the most amazing man walks in, Kris Winter is the owner and he can't take his eyes from Lexi, something about her stirs something in him.
I enjoyed this book but it is only 49 pages, it ends on a huge cliffhanger although I can guess where it's going, of I'm being totally honest then I have to say that Lexi was a bit too abrupt for me, I know she's had a rough time of it lately but I found her annoying at times.
The second book is on kindle unlimited so I'm starting that next.

I had made plans to read it over the course of two or three days and ended up reading it in one sitting...I just couldn't put it down! This was a really good book and a great start to a series. I never felt like the author was rushing the story. It starts with us, as a reader getting to know the heroine who is strong, brave, curvy and feisty. She is a bartender at a shifter bar and can definitely hold her own with the other shifters. The hero, who is tall, strong and sexy is the owner of the bar and is still a bit of a mystery. But, I have a feeling we'll get to know him soon. The chemistry between the main characters is undeniable and the bedroom scene is certainly hot and steamy. The story ends on a big cliffhanger which makes me want to read more. Great book for the price!

The chemistry between Lexi and Mr Winters (Kris) simply jumps out of you, grabs you, and pulls you along from the beginning. You may, as I was, not be able to put the book down until the end...wanting to know if Kris has given into his feelings about Lexi and acted on them...or has she been able to continue to push him away. Without giving too much information out and killing the cliff hanger, I can truly say Jocelyn Thomas is the type of author who has you falling in love with her characters, but will also leaving you wanting more. Bring On More About Lexi and Kris! Can hardly wait for the next installment.

Another great series!
I'm so excited about this series...there are werewolves and feisty women, overbearing Alpha and by the way "where is the wife". And the "heat" level tops the thermometer, in fact it blows it up. Lexi is the bartender at an exclusive club that caters to a lot of werewolves, while Kris is the owner of said club and also alpha of the pack and when the two of them meet...fireworks go off. I got so into the book that when I turned the page and found it was the last page I almost threw out my wrist trying to turn the pages to find more on my Kindle. Can't wait for the next part.

I have read several of Jocelyn's books and love every one of them. At the same time I hate reading them because she is amazing at cliff hangers!!!! Now seriously if you have never read any of her books this one is a MUST read!!!! Lexi is a fierce young woman making it on her own and Kris is a tough alpha who has made a name for himself and his pack. Now he has troubles from his past and Lexi is thrown into his world by his sister. Neither was expecting what happened but sparks flying is the least of their worries. The inferno that consumes them is sooo much hotter!!!!

I received an arc from the author for an honest opinion.
I really liked the story between Lexi & Kris, their chemistry was great & the sex was pretty good also. There were very few grammatical errors. A couple parts jumped without explanation lik when she was waiting to be pick up for the bar tending job then all of a sudden she was getting out of the car in friontnif the house. Also, I know the attraction between th m was instant but she went from calling Kris an arrogant jerk to sleeping within in about a 4 hr span, but it is written as if she was fighting the entire time.
This is a very good book with an intriguing twist and I can't wait for part 2. Good job Ms. Thomas!!

The first thing that comes to mind after reading this book is hot, hot, hot! This quick read holds your interest from the first word straight through to the end. Lexi is just the type of spunky and confident heroine about whom I love to read, and Kris is a smoking hot alpha that seems up to the challenge of being a worthy mate for her. Things seem to be on the right track for these two, then a huge twist is thrown in that leaves you fidgeting with anxiety while wondering how long you will have to wait to be able to read part two.

OMG Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed reading this book. My only issue with the book was it was over way too soon.I totally love Mr.Winters(Kris Winters) his arrogance and nonchalant ways his interaction with Lexi is hilarious their chemistry is smoking hot.This book is filled with everything that you look for in a great overbearing alpha, feisty sassy heroine.The book does end on a cliffhanger but it's totally worth it just makes me eager to see what going to happen next. I'm so looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

There are some interesting characters in this first part of the book. The main characters both have histories that they haven't shared yet and it will be interesting to see how that goes in the next part. I like strong characters and she is definitely someone who stands up for herself. He is still pretty mysterious but definitely a strong alpha who knows what he wants and Is willing to do what it takes to get it. There is an immediate connection but some concern about pursuing more. I like her friends and his sister and hope to also see more of the supporting characters in the next volume.

Lexi works at Club Winter as head bartender. Kris is the owner of Club Winter and Alpha Wolf of Vancouver as well as Sonja's older brother. Lexi gives Kris a hard time before she finally gives into Kris's love! In the end she finds out that he has a wife. Now what happened to Kris's wife? What will happen to their relationship? This is a very interesting story and Lexi has to once again gamble with her life, but is she truly free to love this man this time around? I recommend the book so go get your copy!

Loved this book. Wish it had been longer though. I wanted more. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Lexi and Kris is captivating and hot and steamy. So strong and independent, Lexi will not take any crap from anyone. Along come Mr. hot and sexy in the flesh. Lexi does not want to get involved with anyone and definitely not Kris.
Mr. Winters, hot and sexy and gets WHATEVER/WHOEVER he wants, has is eyes set on Lexington.
Will they work it out? I will tell you this. This is one very rewarding read. I could not put it down.

I loved this book it was terrific. I picked the book up planning on reading a little then I couldn't put it down till I was done with the book.It was by far the best beginning book of a series I have read in a long time. I love the book. I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves a great shifter book with a kinda mystery to it this will keep you wanting more. I LOVE IT can't wait till next book.

This is the first part in this series. In will warn it does end with a cliff hanger. I like Lexi and I feel for her because she has some baggage. Kris is a yummy werewolf alpha. He finds himself attracted to the human Lexi. I'm intrigued about what Kris's sister thinks the truth about Lexi is. I highly enjoyed this and I can't wait to see what's next for these two especially that Kris has some explaining to do.

Lexi Jenkins just got out of a bad relationship. Lexi has a bad track record with men. When Mr. Hotstuff walks in the bar that she works at, she is mesmerize and annoyed at the same time. This sizzling short story keeps your attention and then you will anticipate what will happen next. I really like this story and I leaves with a cliffhanger. Another great read by this fabulous author. Her stories are so well written.
Lexi is a the head bartender at Kris's bar. He thinks she made be his mate but he needed to be certain. Can these two figure things out without killing each other. Only one way to find out.....read this amazing book.

Lexi has no interest in getting mixed up with a man again that is until her sexy boss Kris Winters comes to town. He finally gets her to him self but things go wrong. The chemistry between them is so hot. you will love reading and I can not wait for the next part of the series. Jocelyn Thomas has become on of my favorite Authors . Her books are always hot and sexy and never disappoint .

I really enjoyed this book from the very beginning except for that cliffhanger and really looking forward to book and see the continuation of Lexi and Kris. Very well written story and for being a novella I felt it flowed smoothly and not rushed thru.
