“I can’t wait to have you in my space. I’m gonna treat you so good and f*ck you so right you not gon’ want to leave.” M’kay Akeem. 😏
There was a lot goin’ on in Identical To No One. Sunjiya, Tanjaya, and Akeem took me on a ride I was not even a little bit prepared for. And, the Uno reverse on the plot twist damn near took me out at the knees. Cause, that was definitely a “what you talkin’ bout’ Willis?!!!” moment. Whew! I’m still clutchin’ my pearls. 🤯 Just know everything is not as it appears to be and be prepared for the unexpected.
Writing a book on twins can be tricky because as a reader everything you think of writing about, we see coming. There was nothing in this story that gave shocking.
It was to the point where the author could have easily just written this story as Tanjaya as an only child & had Akeem accept the job, take her, hear her out & then handle the situation for her.
There were inconsistencies with the twin plot. How is it that Tanjaya got so called beaten, abused always in the hospital but she ain’t carry no scars???? Skin just smooth and untouched? Cause clearly Akeem would have figured that out just based off that. Also after everything she been through, I expect her to move like somebody who been through some stuff.
The summary of the book doesn’t make sense to me. It uses Sunjiya but like this whole book was Tanjaya.
Also even when meeting each other, author was still calling her Sunjiya with Sunjiya in the room.
I like who Akeem didn’t get as mad at her for lying.
Also did she ever claim her name again? For somebody who wants her sister out her business, her using her sisters name and doing the same job as her??? It gives off that Tanjaya doesn’t have her own identity.
Good thing it ended with a happy ending cause at one point I thought one sister was going to kill the other to take over their life. & it wouldn’t matter which one lol.
I hate how at the end the real Sunjiya was trash & didn’t hear out her own sister about what she wanted especially after everything she been through.
Also, the book was decent enough that I would want Sunjiya to get her own book & redeem herself. Have her find love cause it’s sad that her own sister can’t trust her & that’s her only blood. I wonder what she needed the money for?

So, when I can process everything...I'll be back because this was a lot to process. How in Lucifer's Hell?? I mean, I get it. I understand Tan's reasons, but at what point do you grow up? Sun had it far better than Tan, she inherited a house, money, and Tan gave her money too so what's really going on?? I'm flustered and flabbergasted and I'm on cold medicine too so maybe my brain hasn't caught up. I'm happy Akeem didn't just cut ties, because no matter what, the love was real. Charity, your mind was working OT on this one, and in my addled mind at the moment, I think you coming back with more.🤔 Happy Reading Y'all!💋
(3.5/5) This book started out really strong for me. For the first half, I kept going back and forth between what I thought I knew and trying to connect the dots. It kept me so engaged. Once we got to the climax, I’m pretty sure I stopped breathing for a few pages. What made it even more intense was realizing there was still so much book left, which had me wondering what else could possibly happen.
I absolutely loved Akeem. Yes, he was a killer, but he was also a family man and so protective, attentive, and deeply committed to Sunjiya. My heart went out to her for everything she experienced, and I really did like her, but some of her choices made it harder for me to stay fully on her side.
After the major plot twist, I found myself less invested because of a character choice that pulled me out of the story. That’s more of a personal preference than a reflection of the author’s writing, because the storytelling itself was still strong and I absolutely adore this author. But that particular choice made it harder for me to stay as connected to the second half, and I found myself skimming at points.
Even though the second half didn’t work for me as much, this was still a compelling and well written story.
I was torn, conflicted, surprised and hooked from the beginning of this flavorful romance suspense novel. Charity keeps you guessing and thinking and as soon as you think you’ve figured something out you’re thrown another beautiful loop. Precise, timely, accurate, and always in control that’s Akeem. Sunjiya loving, helpful, yet possessed like a prize by her captor, and exhausted thanks to her twin. While some pieces connect helping them along this journey others leave them conflicted, mainly their hearts and feelings. Akeem actually sees Sunjiya and it’s a first for them both. He’s never truly been controlled by his heart he can’t help but be drawn to her. They are determined to see if it’s worth letting down those walls or will family, secrets, and missing pieces destroy what’s on the horizon for them.
Confused at first but after rereading some parts, I finally got it and boy was it good!! I know it was wrong but I completely understood Tanjaya/Sunjiya reasoning. And free everything she’s been through, to find a love like Akeem??? I wouldn’t give it up either. But my logical thought process is………..SHE is not legally married to Akeem nor the owner of her business. The sister she portrays is. I wonder if there will be a spin off book because now my mind is thinking of ways this could all go left. Once again, the pen never misses!!!
You all, this story had so much to keep you guessing and praying. The twins switching had a realism that I could sink myself into the storyline. The hit man with a heart was another side note that drove the theme home for me. I recommend this read 100%.
When you kidnap the wrong person goes wrong ! What do you do? Do you keep them , let them go? Maybe unalive them ..
Akeem is a ex-military trained killer now working contract jobs he has one contract that takes him for a loop.
Sunijay is loyal and when her sister calls she comes but this one visit turns into something she was not ready for.
This book had me questioning myself like who is this and who did that etc… when a romance suspense have me doing that then it’s doing what it’s suppose to.
Charity did not ease off the brake with the romance, read and you will see what I’m talking about 😂 …
But do we get a HEA after everything that transpires???
4.5 ⭐️. Okayy Ms.Charity you did your big one with this. This was a good time. In true Charity Shane fashion the mmc is down bad for the fmc. As he should be. This is a romantic suspense. Love the love, good spice and definitely caused me to be invested. At the beginning of the book, I had a couple plot predictions and there were points that I was correct, but Charity still had me second-guessing lol. There were also parts towards the end I got a lil confused but nothing crazy. This change of pace took me out of my slump. I would recommend.
If I do a deep review of this book it will contain spoilers and I don't want to do that.
I was invested, confused, and wrong. My mind in an entire different place when it came to Sunjiya and Tanjaya. I would say I was happy to be wrong but it was as if the peace was still not achieved. Akeem was my boy because his instincts were on point just like his protection. It was his heart this time and he was right when he snapped and went on his spree.
This book was so different! I loved it! Just when I thought I had it figured out, I didn't. I loved Tanjaya and Akeem. They both needed that love and they both deserved it. I was a little mad that Tajaya didn't tell him the truth once they started having feelings for each other. But I loved this book!! Hope Axton gets a book!!
This book was so different from any book I’ve ever read and I loved it. This author is so good at what she does and the twists and turns were thoroughly enjoyed.
Tanjaya escaped a living hell after enduring years of abuse and degradation at the hands of her captor, Marcelin. Determined to get her back, he hires hitman Akeem, believing she still belongs to him. But the moment Akeem sees Tanjaya’s picture, something about the sadness in her eyes pulls him in. What starts as just another job quickly becomes complicated when emotions get involved and shocking truths begin to unfold including the discovery of her identical twin.
Filled with lies, betrayal, danger, and unexpected love, this story keeps you hooked from beginning to end. The chemistry between Tanjaya and Akeem was intense, and the twists kept me wanting more. It really makes you question whether a relationship built on deception can survive once the truth comes to light. A drama-filled, emotional read with suspense around every corner!
Tan and Sun had a rough past. I was stuck on this page turner from the moment Akeem found Sun/Tan. The suspense was an added feature that made it all more interesting.
I’m not going to rate the book below 3stars because honestly I skipped from 29/30% to the last three chapters. It was obvious to me that Tanjaya was the one with him and not Sunjiya but she was in self preservation mode so of course she would say and do whatever as to not return to Marcelin. I’m sure there was a lot of action in between though.
