Tatum James is a passionate author of romance, urban fiction, and women’s fiction. Since publishing her debut novella Identical Sins in 2018, she has written more than 30 titles—each one known for its unique storylines, unpredictable twists, and vivid characters. A true storyteller at heart, Tatum loves painting pictures with words, weaving emotion, tension, and passion into every page.
A South Georgia native from the small town of Abbeville, Tatum grew up surrounded by the quiet of the rural South—a place where imagination had room to run wild. That early creativity now fuels her writing, often infused with her love of storytelling and music. These twin passions frequently shape the themes and rhythm of her books.
Outside of writing, Tatum has worked as a dedicated nurse for over a decade. Her compassion and life experience shine through in the depth of her characters and the realism of her stories.
Yes, you need to read this story. Jhrue with a J was too much fun. Her janky older brother was delusional to the max. Supreme was definitely supreme in this story.
To Jhrue, he wasn’t Supreme…he was Ian and I think that made him more appealing to her. The fact she didn’t know him, made him want to get to know her more. Jhrue was always with the $#!+$ and hilarious with it. Supreme stepped hard and heavy behind her and Jeremiah which was another plus in his column. Her brother, that dude was touched and obviously someone who couldn’t take responsibility for his own failings in life, but to go to the lengths his did was CRAZY! I truly enjoyed this one, and won’t be mad if I see these two again! Happy Reading Y’all!💋
Jrue & Supreme’s love story was soo cute! He was the definition of “if a man wants to, he will!” I love a book where a man truly pursues a woman and never lets up on her. The drama was also there and the characters were lovable…with the exception of one.
You’re an event planner. You’ve been tasked with a birthday party. Now, unbeknownst to you, the recipient doesn’t like to celebrate birthdays, hence a surprise. Then you had no idea that the person is a celebrity rapper from your city. An unexpected encounter while you’re trying to get some air occurs where you and the birthday person end up meeting. You’re not given the famous name, just a part of his name. You’ve now been chilling with one of your younger brother’s idols and this is how you find out his status. He was happy just being him with you and you seeing just him. Problem comes when your brother was released from prison and finds out that you’re dating the man he feels set him up and threatens you to leave him. When that didn’t happens, bad things happened and it was not pretty, but you all didn’t stop. She doubted her regular self was good enough for a celebrity but he showed her better than he told her and it’s beautiful. You’ve even given him a reason to love birthdays.
This book really kept my attention from start to finish. The storyline flows well and doesn’t feel all over the place, which I appreciated.
I’m a big fan of romance, especially when it’s not perfect, and this one delivered. The “hiccups” in the story didn’t come from the couple, which was different—instead, it was family drama that added tension without breaking them apart.
Jrue stood out to me the most. She had her guard up, but seeing her slowly open up after meeting Supreme was one of the best parts of the book. Their connection felt real, not forced.
Overall, it’s a good read if you like love stories with a little drama but still strong at the core.
I just loved the way that Supreme pursued Jrue the moment he met her at his surprise birthday party that she was the event planner for. He saw something different about her, and he wanted her in his life. Supreme also formed a relationship with her brother, Jeremiah, and took him under his wing which showed the kind of man he was. Her brother, Jrake, was unhinged and not in the good way. He should have gone about his business instead of having a non-existent beef with Supreme. This book was sooooo good that I couldn't put it down and read it in one day. The characters and storyline were excellently written, and I really enjoyed the vibe between Supreme and Jrue. I can't recommend this book enough.
Ms. Tatum, yes, ma'am. Supreme was ten toes down for Jrue. He didn't play any games when it came to her. It was quite admirable when he took Jeremiah under his wings as well. Jeremiah needed a positive influence in his life because his brother could never. Jrake had some serious maturing and healing to do. He made way too much noise about a dead situation. He was dead wrong in how he came at Jrue and Jeremiah. I was glad when he finally got what he deserved. He lost more than his freedom that day. But back to Supreme Ian and Jrue because he even inadvertently built Jrue clientele for her event planning business. He increased her business tenfold. He also loved her unconditionally and was ensuring that Jeremiah would be a success, not another statistic. The mere fact that Jrue was raising him alone speaks volumes on her character as a sister.
Ladies and gents, it's another hit by Ms. James. I highly recommend it, so grab your copy today. You will be glad you did.
It be your own family. Jrake was toxic as heck. I think he was getting lit off his own supply for real.
Now I loved Jrue. My girl was not playing with anyone. She played too much but was serious when it counted. Her love for Jeremiah was as a sister and mother. It gave me some chills. Ian, yep, they fit. A ying to a yang. He was supportive and loving. Respecting her privacy but also using his platform to boost her business.
I have not read a book by Tatum James that I don’t love and this book is no different!!
Ian and Jru’s story is so well written. I love when a FMC meets a famous MMC and don’t know they famous, that’s what I’m looking for meeting someone that’s famous but don’t know it and falling in love!!
The family drama will keep you reading but the love story and the way he treats her little brother will melt your heart.
So go ahead and add it to your TBR, you will not be disappointed!
Another great read. Short, sweet, and full of drama.
Jealousy is a mean dude named Jrake. He was mad that he got caught up as opposed to having the career Supreme had. Instead of him trying to build after his bid, he went on a shooting spree and wilding out trying to blame his short comings on Supreme.
Meanwhile, Ian aka Supreme is falling for his sister. Supreme is all gas with Jrue. And the fact that she didn't know he was famous made it that much better.
So much drama and action…I loved it! Jrue and Ian were interesting characters. They were fascinated by each other’s personalities, beauty, and chill vibe. Past ties caused drama and chaos for them at every turn but they built their relationship and trust and refused to bend. It was so entertaining and thrilling watching them fight for each other against the things being said and threats. He proves to her how he will take care of her and his love will reign supreme if given the chance!
This was a good read. Ian was definitely good for Jrue. Her meeting him allowed her to enter her soft girl era and I loved that for her. Of course there can’t be love without a little bit of drama. Jrue had to choose between love and obligation, unfortunately for her the choice didn’t come without a lot of hurt. Tatum James definitely put a fully developed story in 129pgs!
Yes...Tatum....Ty Sis.✨️✨️Now I loved Jrue's willingness to handle things on sight. Trapped in that bathroom.🤣🤣.Ok, yes Ian had his mind on his business. I loved their connection. Jeremiah understood and lived his sister. Now Jrake needed all charges. The audacity of him. Ian having chicken pox was 🤣🤣 . His family stood 10toes down with him and for him.💕Loved that Ian was giving Jeremiah guidance✨️✨️My favorite little Jr. being born on his Dad's birthday was priceless. Ty Tatum for another one✨️✨️
Cute, quick love story. Jrue decorated a surprise party for Ian “Supreme” and she doesn’t even know it. Supreme is a well known rapper, but he’s just lovable & joking Ian to her. I’m glad she met him as Ian and not the celebrity. Their relationship is tested by her older brother, but things work out for them in the end.
Loved this story. This man played no games about FMC. He was always respectful and didn't leave room for anyone to disrespect or play games with her regardless of his fame and access to be indulged. I wouldn't mind a continuation of this story but also don't want it to get tainted by messiness so I'll happy with it ending here too.
Jrue and Ian were super cute!! Ian laid eyes on Jrue and knew she would be his!! I loved that he did not overpower her he just claimed what he knew everytime he laid eyes on her!! She played a little hard to get but when its real its real and she fell!! She didnt care who the world knew him as she knew him as Ian. Great story with a little rah rah
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The plot kept me entertained from the first page! Jrue & Supreme kept each other on their toes, and I love that. You could see the chemistry between them throughout the entire book. Loved the bond between Jeremiah & Jrue as well. Highly recommend this book!
As siblings we want more for our younger siblings having them meet their unexpected dreams and accomplish what we didn’t. Boundaries are important in family just because we share blood doesn’t mean you deserve my respect or loyalty.
You will get the definition of selfless and selfish within the actions of the FMC and SMC.
Yeah that brother ain’t wrapped too tight. I must say I did want to see who set up Jrake but then again he so crazy he still would have thought Ian did it. Ian applied pressure when it came to trying to presume Jrue.
Does Tatum ever miss? This book had me from the start. It was an instant love, right place right time. Supreme Ian Mcnabb and Jrucilla Peterson met at a random, not so random, party and the rest was history. He was famous. She didn’t know. That’s what made him fall head over heels for her. I especially loved the chase. Ian wasn’t letting up no matter who or what said otherwise. This book had just the right amount of spice sprinkled in to really keep me enthralled with the story. I love a good happy ever after! 5/5!
It has been awhile since I've read a book by this author, but after reading the description of the book, I knew I had to. I'm so glad I did. It had the right amount of romance, drama, and humor. And, that Jeremiah is something else.
Wow loved it from beginning to end amazing characters chemistry was off the chain simply brilliant I was on edge didn't want it to end yessss I laughed cried shout yessss 🥰🥰😍
A Love so supreme was a beautiful love story. Drake was jealous and crazy. Supreme treated Jrue with such care. The story kept you engaged. Great read.
It was a beautiful story. You never know who will help heal your heart. Ian and Choc meet and didn't know who each other were, but they found love. Ian learning to take care of the love of his life. It was sad that Jrake didn't understand what he did cause all his problems. Sometimes, the hate cause you to destroy everything and everyone around you. I would recommend the book.
As always a good read. Not too much back and forth just progression and good storytelling. Tatum does a wonderful job of telling a story without making it chaotic.
Great read! I hope to read more about Supreme & Jrue! I love how protective Jrue was about her younger brother, but also how Supreme took on that role as well! Absolutely loved the ending!
I loved the couple in the this book. The chemistry and the banter was so refreshing. That big brother of hers needed his ass whooped. Happy they got their HEA.
