Chris Tiegreen’s devotionals never cease to amaze me. He writes with much insight into scriptural truth. All of his devotionals will remain on my shelves to be referenced, read again and possibly shared with friends and family. Perhaps, my favorite thing about his devotions is they always challenge the reader to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus: the way, the truth and the life! The devotionals follow the theme of the Kingdom of God very closely, which I appreciate very much. Each devotional has optional Bible readings that reinforce the message well, and allows for further meditation and reflection.

Jesus talks a lot about the Kingdom of Heaven, but we take it for granted, and usually have a narrow view of God's work as primarily personal salvation. I like to start my day with having God's Kingdom in mind, and I have decided to go through this book for another year.

The verses are not repetitive, as can be seen from the verse index at the end of the book.
