Until now... There were a lot of unknown factors about why cats become intoxicated from catnip.

As a result of various studies through the years, a few reasons have been uncovered. One of these is them reacting euphorically to a component called nepetalactone, with another being that that same chemical is a natural insect repellent that they rub on their bodies to keep mosquitoes at bay.

But whatever the reasons, the undeniable truth is that cats receive a sense of happiness from catnip.

It's rare to find a story which is a ridiculous as it is sublime. Nothing about this series should work beyond the initial premise yet they manage to create a narrative which is compelling and laugh out loud funny.

A new virus is spreading across the world. Rather than the usual zombie approach, this virus turns the infected into cats! Cue exposed bellies desperate to be rubbed, kitten eyes, and other nefarious tactics to lure unexpecting humans to their doom!

After their reunion and having survived the kitty onslaught of the museum, Kunagi, Kaoru, and Tsutsumi, again have to go their separate ways. Kunagi is on a mission to find out more of his past, which could be the key.

This volume was, once again, shorter in terms of the main story but included a lot more bonus material including a continuation of the story that may or may not (100% may) be based on Squid Games.

I adore this series and I see from a bit of Googling that the anime is now available on Cruncy Roll. I think a free trial may be in order. 5 stars.

I've loved this series (even if the last couple volumes were fairly meh), but this one is BAD, and a total bait-and-switch. You only get ONE chapter (25 pages) from the main storyline, then it ends with a "to be continued," and the WHOLE REST OF THE BOOK is bunch of random stupid side stories, with a surprising lack of cats. TWENTY FIVE PAGES. THAT'S IT. I don't really see the point of this anymore...

Im honestly dissapointed. The series was so good and goofy in the beginning but now its chaotic. Theres a bunch of different storylines going on at the same time and because of this it felt like nothing happened this entire volume. I hate to say it because the idea is so unique and cute but im dropping this series. Its too chaotic and going downhill. Such a shame where its gone compared to the first volume.

This volume was mostly side stories which I usually wouldn’t mind but I really wanted to see more of the cat-worshipping village
