Wowwww full of shocking twist! I'm speechless! I was greedy for Ty and Max's story. When i was reading about Ty.. my mind keep asking me "whats happen to max? How courtly accept it?". I just want to read it at the same time.
You can't hardly put it down. I was hooked till my eyes got tired and I need a break.
Overall I loved this brotherhood. I'm sure their mother, Lady Honey really proud of them.
Oh.. i feel sad for Uncle Grayson. I wish too he will be buried near Honey 😥
I just finished the last page of this amazing book and I'm sitting with a silly grin on my face. Sigh.
Tiberius de Shera's book was especially gripping, with so many twists and turns and startling revelations that it takes your breath away. There is that sweet romance of Tiberius de Shera (the youngest of the de Shera Thunder Lords) and Lady Douglass de Moray (daughter of the great Sir Bose de Moray and Lady Summer of "The Gorgon"). Tiberius de Shera has much working against him in his very determined suit for Lady Douglass' hand. He has a terrible, "love them and leave them, devil may care," reputation with women. Even his own brothers, who dearly love him, doubt he can love and be true to just one woman. In addition, Tiberius de Shera, as do all of the Thunder Lords, have given their allegiance and support to Simon de Montfort against King Henry III. Sir Bose de Moray, Lady Douglass' father, supports King Henry III. To top this all off, Lady Douglass' father, Bose de Moray, is already in negotiations for her hand in marriage with another noble family and is bringing his daughter to London to meet the knight.
There is much political intrigue here with incredibly serious consequences to the shifting sides, changes of alliances, questions of loyalty and family honor and mystery. There is also a tension filled side story with Maximus de Shera ("The Thunder Warrior") at the heart of it. Through it all, as with all the Lords of Thunder Brotherhood books, there is that incredibly tight family love and bond amongst the three brothers, Gallus, Maximus and Tiberius. No matter what happens, they face it together. It is that thread of loyalty and love that shines throughout all these books and never more than in this book. Lady Honey would, indeed, be proud.
Kathryn Le Veque's medieval romances are a class unto themselves. She never fails to take her stories and her readers to an entirely new level. I never cease to be amazed at her clever story lines and, without a doubt, she writes the very best heroes! Gallus ("The Thunder Lord"), Maximus ("The Thunder Warrior") and Tiberius will steal your heart too!
I wish I could give this book more than the five stars allotted! I couldn't wait for this last book to come out and now I'm sorry to see it end. Keepers one and all that will be read and re-read by me!
The Lord's of Thunder not only steeped in history but also tell wonderful tales of knighthood and Love. they intermingled the tales of families fighting family loyalties and how they had to worry over who they might have to fight. The love you d through it all makes the stories so deep.
The entire trilogy was great. Kathryn has away of bringing you right back into those days of the medieval world! Her stories flow and you don't want to put them down! The Lord's of Thunder are one of her best! You won't easily forget them! I'll be waiting for her next lovely stories. I'm hooked!
Better than the second book it did have some surprises in it. The only thing I didn't like with KLV is she writes books years later that are connected so you have to look back. This book has a lot of those characters.
I enjoyed this series overall. I felt the first two books were unfinished and left too many questions unanswered. I’m happy to report that most of my questions were answered in this book 3. However, the books are supposed to be standalone and that is not the case. If you only read book one or two you would be left wondering. I still do not feel the love connection between Gallus and Jeniver because it was not developed in book one. Even in the final book I don’t understand much about his family. It says at one point that Bhrodi is Gal’s only child but that is not true. Why were there no children after him until many years later? The romance of the other two brothers was developed and enjoyable. There was a lot going on in this last book. Maximus is a heavy player in this book even though he was the main character in book two. I enjoyed the connection between Ty and Douglass because Ty’s personality and wisdom is so engaging. Overall the series was good.
Another wonderful story by K. Le Vecque! Tiberious de Shera met Douglass de Bose when he was trying to rescue her from enemy soldiers. However, she did not realize her whether rescuer was actually there to save her or to turn her over to the enemy. So, she tried to beat him with a wooden log! They managed to get away but it wasn't long before both were smitten. There was a big problem, though. She was already promised to another! This book, like so many by this author, has many different plots going on at the same time. To explain them all would take writing another book here, so I'll just say this is a wonderful booth and well worth reading. Now, I'm on to find another of Le Vecque's many books to read!
Although this is primarily T's story with Douglass. I found myself turning the pages to get to the parts the continued Maximus' journey. This astonished me because T had always been my favorite brother in the series.
Somehow Maximus stole my heart and never returned it. I loved the epilogue. What a wonderful glimpse into the future of this wonderfully human family.
Honey continued to dominate as the heartbeat of the deShera clan. So many surprises. The ending of this series was very satisfying. I adored it.
Note to Kathryn LeVeque: please write Honey deShera's story! Dustin's daughter surely has a story to be told just from the glimpses we've seen of her.
What an excellent final book in this series. I have enjoyed reading all 3 books one after the other. All 3 brothers shine in their individual stories and Ty is no exception. Once he meets Lady Douglass there is no one else for him. The politics of the time help to shape their lives and Ty and Douglass will have even more difficulty because their families are on opposing sides. The epilogue is very poignant indeed, because it brings us completely up to date with all the main protagonists. As usual, a brilliant read!
As with all Le Veque novels you will not be disappointed in this one. The series of the Thunder Lords is hard to put down until all of them have been read. A perfect mix of romance and war. All of the novels by K. Le Veque are above average and awaiting her next novel is hard to do. Every one is special and will be read many times. Do not let the opportunity to read this author's stories.
The Thunder Knight: Book Three in the Lords of Thunder: The de Shera Brothers Trilogy
This is Tiberius' story. It takes place in the year 1258 AD. Power struggles between Henry III and Simon de Montfort intensifies. The brothers Gallus, Maximus, and Tiberius de Shera are The Lords of Thunder who ride to war for de Montfort!
There could not be a better ending to the Lords of Thunder Trilogy. Ty was exactly what I expected from a man of his time. I laughed and agonized over the complex situations. I read to visit other people and places and times and Kathryn LeVeque never lets me down.
I was so surprised at all if the inner actions between family and friends. This book kept me on my toes and at the edge of my couch all the way through. Awesome reading and a must for all who enjoy Kathryn Le Vague's books.

I'm sorry to sound like a broken record. But every single book that Catherine Le Veque writes is just pure gold. Her incorporation of the history and her characters in each and every tale is second to none.
*3.5/5.0 - Hurrah for the epilogue redemption! Wrapped up nicely. Time for a much needed KLV break - off to explore options for better researched historical fiction.
4 1/2 STARS Le Veque writes on the lighter side of politics and a stronger side of the love of a knight and his obsession in marrying a lady. A thoroughly entertaining read!
This was a fantastic end to The Lord's of Thunder trilogy. Tiberius & Douglass story touched me more then his brother's. By 40% into the book I had to stop and cry. The bond between these brothers was the bond of Legends. Family, love, passion and true unwavering friendship and loyalties were ever present in this family of three brothers. Family always first. What was wonderful was the fact that all three brothers are ever present in all three books. Plus characters that have been in other Le Veque books.
Kathryn Le Veque has done it again. She has drawn us in with all three books to create a masterpiece in true Le Veque style.
If you are looking for a grand Medieval Trilogy filled with tension of the times and great love stories...then try out the Lord's of Thunder. Get all three books...you will not be disappointed. Gallus, Maximus, and Tiberius de Shera will take you on a grand journey.
If, I could give the entire series a 10, I definitely would.
After reading the three books in this series, I believe that it is really more of a family saga than a set of historical romances. These are stories of love in all of its form: agape, eros, and philia. Yes, each book features one of the brothers finding the love of his life. But there are continuing threads of the bond between the brothers, their love for their mother Honey, their loyalty to an England for the English, their bonds to other noble families on both sides of the conflict and their love of family and children.
They are fighters and they love the fight, but they also realize that the fight has purpose. Protecting their families and enjoying their lives together gives them purpose.
