Originally published in ASTOUNDING SCIENCE FICTION in December, 1955, this is an odd story of a new way to settle international disputes - the golden judge.
Part of LibriVox Short Science Fiction Collection 013.This only really qualifies as SF as the fundamental idea is so radical that it’s never really been taken seriously. It was a bit stretched out using a list of geopolitical and historical contexts. Although the premise is beautifully creative sadly it probably wouldn’t work. It reminded me of Luke Rhinehart’s “The Dice Man”. Read by Hollis Hanover 43:32
