The Fallacy Web: A Dream Interrogation Thriller
Three deaths. Each one impossible to explain.
Following the events of The Lattice Scheme, Agent Azure Prescott is undergoing accelerated training within the Bureau, balancing her role as a detective with her sanctioned ability to enter the subconscious in pursuit of truth.
At Richmond’s historic Jefferson Hotel, three deaths, each marked by a disturbing and deliberate irony, are dismissed as coincidence. That conclusion does not survive long.
When the investigator assigned to the case is found murdered, Azure and her new mentor, Artemis Turner, are brought in to determine what was overlooked—and why.
What begins as a contained inquiry refuses to remain so.
Evidence contradicts itself. Leads collapse under scrutiny. Patterns emerge only to dissolve when examined too closely. Yet beneath the inconsistency, something far more precise begins to take shape.
Within the subconscious, Azure encounters interference—another dreamwalker operating without sanction, linking the inner world to events no investigation should be able to predict.
Beyond Richmond, earlier cases begin to resurface. The European Dream Trials, once thought contained, reveal signs of continued influence. Separate investigations begin to align, forming a structure that suggests design rather than coincidence.
This is no longer a single case.
It is a system.
And it has been operating longer than anyone has understood.
As the distinction between perception and reality grows increasingly unstable, Azure must determine whether the investigation is uncovering the truth—or participating in its construction.
Because if every case is connected, then no investigation is ever truly closed.
The Fallacy Web is a psychological mystery thriller that deepens the world of The Unseen Operative, blending classical investigation with layered conspiracy and questions of memory, perception, and control.

My goodness what a book. A futuristic crime thriller with the unique twist of using someone’s dreams and subconscious to extract information. It’s full of deceptive twists and turns and a fading line between dreams and reality. This is by no means an easy weekend read, as its length and the advanced writing style require full focus, but it is incredibly well written and thought out, and the payoff is 100% worth it. I was never at a loss of what anyone looked like, and the dream sequences were especially well illustrated. I highly recommend this one if you’re a fan of murder mysteries with a good amount of complexity and a highly intelligent FMC.
