2 1/2 ⭐️

Im not usually one to read debut novels but i gave this one a chance as this girl kept coming up on my for you page.

For starters, the plot itself didn’t make sense — why would teachers force two students to date? To me, at least, it didn’t make sense. I also jumped into this book assuming it was a slow-burn but they were already falling in love during chapter 13…

The grammar. I’m a grammar fanatic and i will always look for typos in any book. This book had of words were misspelled and there were lots of run-on sentences. Some sentences didnt make any sense others were missing words.

Alex and Vi’s relationship dynamic was a little confusing — I couldnt rlly tell if they hated each other or were in love with each other from the start.

The writing style was alright, it had the same comedic theme as Lynn Painter’s. So i kind of enjoyed that part.

And for some reason — in almost all books, not just this one — the book begins sucking as soon as the two characters get together. It looses its spark and becomes dull and boring.

Overall, this book was kind of disappointing:(( But it has potential, for sure.
