Another man who has no intention of getting involved in a serious relationship.
Another woman who is strong, intelligent and has been ignored by most because of her quest for knowledge and strength of character.
A mysterious illness is creeping through the population of London, but is not the infectious type. The doctors and hospitals are overwhelmed by it. It is even reaching into the homes of the wealthy through their staff.
Lord Tristin calls his friend, a doctor, to attend to his housekeeper. He brings his sister, who has been studying medicine with him, and leaves her to tend to the patient. Her determination and dedication impress the Lord, and her regular visits are something which he anticipates with delight.
They work together to host a charity event for the hospital, and continue to investigate the source of the illness. This leads to danger, conspiracy and threats against their lives, as they work together to bring the culprit to justice.
A well written story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
