This issue delves into the back story of Dr. Patricia Tannis, how she came to be on Pandora searching for the Vault, and what's happened since.
Probably my favorite mission in all of the first Borderlands game was going around collecting Tannis' ECHO recording. Hearing her scientific mind coming unraveled from the solitude and isolation on Pandora was equally fascinating & hilarious.
Author Mikey Neumann expands on that story on this issue, giving far more details of Tannis' expedition to Pandora, what went wrong, and how it affected her mental state. I loved every word. It manages to make me laugh and break my heart a little simultaneously.
And again, leaves a cliffhanger at the end! Dang it. If I'm doing my math correctly, I think we can expect two more issues before this arc (and this run of the comic, for now!) wraps up. I can't wait; I've been damn near camping my local comic book store & their Previews catalog, waiting for issue 7.
Please please please, I urge you, if you like these comics, tell a friend & let IDW know. Because I love the hell out of em & I want more! And I hope you do too.
