This book is a unique take on our sinful natures and how to correct our course. The book uses the "Theology of the Face" as a central tenet which is something I had not encountered before. I think many of the ideas are on the generally right path, but not quite right. The author asks the reader to focus a little too much on feeling and vision, when God speaks through His Word. The original sin concept is a different take on it, but I think it would be better as an additional trait of our total depravity, not so much the whole sin. Overall, it is an interesting book that does force you to think about many spiritual topics deeper.
