A second income doesn't have to mean a second-class marriage. In fact, due to the deep level of partnership that must take place, a dual-earner couple can have a stronger, more communicative relationship than that of a "traditional" couple. In this book, the Balswicks offer innovative, creative, and workable solutions to the problems brought on by dual-earner marriages.
Jack Balswick (MA, PhD) is senior professor of sociology and family development at the Department of Marriage and Family School of Psychology, Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, California).
I didn't get a ton out of this book. While it's interesting to read stories of how other couples are balancing work and life, the advice in the book seemed difficult to put into practical terms at best.
