Slick's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Reviewer confession time...I was concerned about this book because I love Tyler and Meredith Blackfoot so much and I was worried what was going to be in store for them in this book. As a reader of Laramie Briscoe's Heaven Hill series since the beginning I've been through it all with these characters and while their first book, Out of Darkness, was good they've been through a lot since then and because they are my favorite couple in this series I was concerned. Well not only did this author give the readers everything they could possibly want in a Tydith story (yep, that's my couple name for them) she gave us a good look at all the couples from this series and a look at what's to come. Beginning of Forever is the perfect title for this book as we see how much this club has changed, how much these couples have endured, and the fact that they've all come out stronger, happier, and with a sense of accomplishment they never felt before. While this isn't the end of this series; this book signifies a change as the older members of this club are settling into family life and the next generation is proving they are no longer children and are ready to set the world on fire.

We see a lot of Tyler and Meredith in this story as the settle into the role of adoptive parents Addie who has forever changed their lives. In addition they are rediscovering the magic they've always had but had waned somewhat as they adjusted to their new normal and in doing so they remember that together they can get through anything. I really love this couple; they have a way of making each other complete, they prop each other up, they don't coddle but they do make each other face the hard and true facts. This is a relationship built on mutual trust and respect and I couldn't be happier for them as they move into another phase in their life.

In addition to their story we see a little bit from each of the other couples in this series and we get a really big look at the future with what is happening in the lives of twins Drew and Mandy as well as their friends. As always I love the relationship the twins have with Liam, their Dad in every sense of the word and that one Drew has with Tyler and Mandy has with Meredith. I love that while these two have parents at home that no doubt love and support them that they aren't afraid to confide in people who are close friends with their parents knowing it will go no further. I give huge kudos to Tyler and Meredith for being their sounding board, for offering support and guidance without judging and for proving what awesome parents they when they have teenagers in their own home.

This was an emotional story on many levels and while I shed some tears most of the book I had a huge smile on my face and I enjoyed everything from the funny to the straight talk to the sexy times and Laramie Briscoe has made me one happy reader! Well done!!

You all wanted more Tyler and Meredith...ask and you shall get what you want...and this one is chock full of romance, family love and some unexpected drama that turns violent.
When we last saw this couple, they had taken in a baby to love and keep as their own and this book begins with the adoption being finalized. There is always a fear that you will come to love a child deeply and then have them snatched away by the birth parents...but so far there had been no sign of anyone and their dream of having an HEA with Addie is finally coming true.
Meanwhile, the "kids" and their angsty drama is taking over everyone's lives...the twins Drew and Mandy each have their sites set on someone and their young ages doesn't stop the fact that sexual feelings and activities are inevitable. Drew is in teen heaven and lust with Charity, a stripper's daughter and Mandy is secretly crushing and debating "giving it all" to her brother's BFF Dalton. It was an interesting and fun dynamic when all the MC dads weigh in with their opinions and advice (Liam the one married to their mom and Tyler, the one Drew confides in) and I am looking forward to the next book which will cover Drew and Charity when they have aged a few years.
The other main focus of this book is on the struggle of Tyler and Meredith to deal with the issues stemming from their troubles to conceive a child of their own. Meredith has already had to overcome the trauma of her rape which will stay with her their whole lives, but giving Tyler a child of his own has so far been out of her reach and it was a really sweet but tense time as Tyler does his best to keep her happy and protect his new family.
Of course no biker book would be complete without some mysterious and troubling woman to enter the picture, and Stephanie (a new arrival to the CRISES home) is just that person. She has a grudge of some sort against Meredith, is doing illegal activites in the center and causes some major damage that threatens the MC family big time.
I really enjoyed the sensitive and more serious change of pace of this book...family, love and loss, and growing into who you are meant to be all figure prominently in this newest Heaven Hill entry. We get a more up close and personal look at the "family life" of the key members of the club...their children, their relationship struggles and how parenthood affects each in different and profound ways.
I highly recommend to anyone who has read the previous books in the series and would like a sweet story with some HEA endings and some "for now" promises as well.

***** 4.5 ***** "hot sex and family bonding" stars

I was given the honor of an advanced copy for review and this is my take on this story from Laramie Briscoe:
This is the continued story of Tyler and Meredith and their becoming a family. The story starts off with the proceedings of gaining the adoption approval for Abby. If you read the first story of Tyler and Meredith you know their story was not that of love at first sight but that of attraction and tolerance of one another. She was a reporter bound on taking down their MC for accused crimes. Tyler was trying to keep Meredith from not only taking down his MC, but trying to convince her to stay out of all MC's business. He tried convincing her that something bad would head her way if she kept prying. Meredith was hard headed and her career was all that mattered to her until she was beaten and raped and Tyler and the MC was the ones who came to her rescue and helped her overcome her tragedy and stood by her side through everything she went through. Through the battle Tyler took her step by step never leaving her side, and they had a love story that started as tolerance to friendship to love so strong it became unbreakable. This is a continuation of that strong bond they share only it includes Abby bringing them back to what they were. Their relationship at one point was only that of trying to have a baby that had not torn their relationship apart but had caused a gap in the bond that in this book they regain strength in with the family they are building. Only as they find each other again and rebuild the sexual bond that had been a medical practice only at one time and had rebuilt into a fire for each other and the family they are building is threatened by an outside enemy determined to tear their new found family apart.

Meredith is happy working at the CRISIS center helping women through their hardships and helping them overcome them that she is unaware that by doing that she brings in a enemy determined to take her family apart by taking away the one thing that has glued her and Tyler back together. They are put to the test and have to fight for their child and themselves as dangers follow them and Tyler and the MC will do whatever it takes to protect Meredith and Tyler's Children, both born and unborn. This story also touches upon the next generation showing us where Drew and Mandy are heading in their future, this story gives us a rundown on all the members we have come to love and care for. Do not miss this installment of Laramie Briscoes Heave Hill Series.

Beginning of Forever (Heaven Hill #7)
By: Laramie Briscoe
5/5 stars

Tyler & Meredith Blackfoot have traveled along a strenuous and difficult path, but ultimately a rewarding one. They tried for quite a while to have a child, but were never able to get pregnant. But they became foster parents to a young baby and have been in the process of legally adopting Addie. All the struggles from the past seem to fade away with the coming of Addie, and both Tyler and Meredith are happier than they have ever been before. Since becoming parents, their lives have changed, but they wouldn’t change anything about their lives.

When a woman shows up at the CRISIS Center for Women, she has the power to threaten their entire world. But the Tyler & Meredith are not kept in the loop and are being protected by the women & men in their lives. They are able to live blissfully unaware, until small pieces begin to unravel and they know the threat to their family.

But luckily, it’s not a threat to their legal adoption, since they spent more than a year looking for and trying to track down any known relatives of Addie. Since no one responded and no one contested at the court hearing for adoption, Addie is legally their daughter and cannot be taken away from them. But the unstable people are definitely a hazard along with other risks, (that I won’t tell!) has the possibility of being life-threatening.

I also enjoyed this book because we got to see how Drew & Mandy Walker (Denise’s kids, h from book 1, adopted by Liam, H from book 1) have matured now that they are seniors in high school. They face real life challenges for maturing teenagers. I loved the epilogue and that book 8, Drew’s story, will be coming out later this year and reading the first chapter in that book!!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, and secrets.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Meant to Be (Heaven Hill #1)
Out of Darkness (Heaven Hill #2)
Losing Control (Heaven Hill #3)
Worth the Battle (Heaven Hill, #4)
Dirty Little Secret (Heaven Hill, #5)
Second Chance Love (Heaven Hill #6)
Rough Patch (Heaven Hill #6.5)

This is more of Meredith and Tyler’s story. She is stressed out with her day-to-day work and he agrees to take a vacation. They load up with there daughter and get away. They find out some exiting news after returning. Soon danger is at the door again and trying to take away someone they love. Can they deal with the danger and also look forward to the future? When they finally get everything, they wanted will it be all they thought it would be?

I recommend this book.

Tyler & Meredith

Tyler and Meredith seem to bring out the best in each other as well as gain strength from their love. When a person from the past tries to destroy their family, steps must be taken to rid the problem.

This is somewhat a sweet small town love story for not only Tyler and Meredith but also teen age love and loss.

This book focuses on Merriam & Tyler, who are featured in the second book in the series. Tyler & Merriam's love has definitely matured, they are now the proud parents of their two year old adopted daughter Addie, so they have to sneak in their love moments like all new parents.

I received an ARC of Book 7 of the Heaven Hill Series Beginning of Forever. I fell in love with this series with Liam and Denise and become an addict with Tyler and Meredith in Book 2. I didn't love Layne and Steele's stories as much I did Liam, Tyler and Jagger so I was curious to see how I would react to this book. I've always thought that a good book makes you ask questions and beg to learn more about the characters and the author didn't disappoint! I love how she builds each character throughout the series so you start to feel like you know them. Every happiness and heartache the characters had literally make you smile, shed a tear or want to punch someone in the face. From the very beginning of this book, you can feel the love, respect and passion that Tyler and Meredith have had since Out of Darkness . Throughout the story, you get to see all the different facets of Tyler’s personality that magnetized readers to him from the start of the Heaven Hill series. He loves hard but, like the others, still has an edge to him and has become even more protective of his girls. A quote from the book "He might be domesticated like me, but that don't mean that either one of us can't sill kick some ass." That pretty much sums it up for me. This series has transitioned somewhat from being about a MC to a more family oriented plot and glances into the young adults that Drew and Mandy have become. The author has kept true to the characters throughout the series while allowing them to grow and develop as they find their partners and start families. A lot of questions that readers have been asking are answered and then the author gets you excited for the next book, making you crave more of the sexy HH bikers!
