His shirt swallows half her body and all his common sense!

Stina is sassy, wild and a little too determined to deny the threat against her but no matter how much he tries to avoid it Rome cannot do anything but fall hard and fast for this firecracker of a woman. I love seeing this hardened blackout warrior not just rattled, but completely destroyed by Stina, they have such an explosive relationship and you never quite know if they are going to fight or rip each other's clothes off, because their bickering is like foreplay. It ramps up the heat and increases the sparks until one of them ignites and the passion explodes.
The Ciper-like threats against Blackout continue and are getting a little too close for comfort....corruption? A dirty agent? Or something more sinister?
Another fantastic book in the Blackout series, I read this on Kindle Unlimited.

Jack and Stina . . .

Special Operator Jack Rome is part of SEAL Team Blackout Sierra handling impossible assignments as they protect women marked for death. When Jolie slams through the door while the men are in a private meeting at their headquarters, she holds up her phone but finds herself speechless. Finally she told them that her friend Stina had received a message from an unknown number. It turned out to be a photograph of Jolie and Stina standing together, wearing their waitress uniforms back when they worked together. Red crosshairs were drawn on their faces, an obvious threat that they were being targeted! Immediately calling the undercover agent watching Stina, his phone rang but was not answered. Jolie was already safe since she was with the team at Blackout. But Stina may now be unprotected since the agent hasn't answered his phone. So Rone was being sent by chopper to see what happened and keep her safe. He arrived outside Antonio’s Ristorante and headed into the alley. He found the agent's car, then spotted something behind the dumpster as he found the murdered agent. Just then Stina walked out, saw the body and heard sirens as she angrily asked why the stranger called the cops which will have all her customers leaving. He told her to get back inside, but she refused. And as the police arrived, the customers came out with their phones to get pictures. When she saw FBI jackets arriving, she was surprised and her manager told her to go home. Attempting to go back and grab what tips she had earned, the stranger blocked her way! How would she be able to pay her rent with this nonsense? So he handed her the cash in his pocket, telling her to go inside and order food for herself until he finishes here. He joined her soon after and asked questions she joked about until he asked if she recently noticed someone watching her. She had... several times near her apartment and 3 nights here in the restaurant! Rome told her to come with him since whoever killed the man behind the trash bin now thinks he has removed her protection.

As Rome is starting to learn, waitress Stina Velez has always relied on herself and does not want anyone's help, especially help from the bossy man who won't listen when she says she is not a target. So she argues over each instruction he gives her and refuses to cooperate. Even worse is that she is beginning to actually trust the guy. And they both start to have feelings for each other. Will they be able to find out why she, as well as Jolie, have become targets when they can't remember what they might have heard that didn't make sense at the time? Will both women be hidden underground at the secret Blackout Sierra compound for their safety? And will the team find the answers they need to stop their enemy?

🛡️💙 Opposites Attract Has Never Been So Explosive 💙🛡️
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | 🌶️🌶️

Returning to the SEAL Team Blackout Sierra series felt like jumping right back into the action, and Iron Shield delivered everything I was hoping for. With danger around every corner, a protective Navy SEAL, and a heroine who refuses to let anyone tell her what to do, this story kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Jack Rome is the definition of calm under pressure. As a member of SEAL Team Blackout Sierra, he's disciplined, dependable, and always thinking several steps ahead. Then he's assigned to protect Stina Velez, and suddenly all that control is put to the test. Rome is the kind of hero who quietly puts everyone else first, and watching him struggle to balance his mission with his growing feelings for Stina made him impossible not to love. Beneath his gruff exterior is a man with a huge heart, and he definitely earned a spot on my book boyfriend list.

Stina was the perfect match for him. She's independent, outspoken, and determined to handle life on her own terms, even when everyone around her is telling her otherwise. She refuses to blindly follow orders, which leads to plenty of entertaining banter as she and Rome constantly challenge one another. While her stubbornness occasionally gets her into trouble, it also made her feel authentic. I especially enjoyed watching her gradually lower her guard as she learned that trusting someone didn't mean giving up her independence.

The romance unfolds naturally alongside the suspense, creating the perfect balance between emotional moments and action-packed scenes. The mystery surrounding why Stina and her best friend have become targets kept me guessing, while the constant danger raised the stakes without taking the focus away from Rome and Stina's relationship. I also loved returning to the Blackout Sierra team and spending more time with characters I had already grown attached to in the first book.

One of my favorite parts of this story was watching Rome and Stina slowly earn each other's trust. Their relationship isn't built on instant perfection. It's built on respect, communication, and learning to meet each other halfway despite their completely opposite personalities. That emotional growth made their happily ever after feel well deserved.

If you enjoy military romantic suspense, protective Navy SEALs, strong-willed heroines, forced proximity, opposites attract, and plenty of action woven together with heartfelt romance, Iron Shield is another fantastic addition to the SEAL Team Blackout Sierra series. I'm already looking forward to seeing where the series goes next.

Thank you to Em Petrova and Booksprout for the advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

He’s all control. She’s all chaos. When danger closes in, they’re the most explosive combination of all.
SEAL Team Blackout Sierra Operator Jack Rome is used to impossible assignments, and protecting a woman marked for death should be simple. Instead, the sharp-tongued waitress challenges every order he gives, slips past every boundary he sets, and turns a routine protection detail into the most frustrating mission of his career. It doesn’t help that every argument leaves him wanting her more. Or that the closer danger gets, the harder it becomes to remember she’s meant to be a mission.

Stina Velez has spent her life relying on herself. Now she’s stuck with a bossy guy who believes his every order is law. Rome might be infuriatingly protective, but he’s also impossible to ignore. And after one reckless kiss turns into something far more dangerous, she can’t stop thinking about the gruff SEAL who pulls her close one minute and pushes her away the next. The worst part? For the first time in her life, she’s starting to trust a man she might not be able to keep.

As the attacks grow bolder, Rome and Stina race to uncover who’s hunting her. But the closer they get to the truth, the harder it becomes to deny the feelings neither of them planned for. Because somewhere along the way, the lines between duty and desire disappeared. And now they have far more at stake than just her life.

This contemporary explosive SEAL Team Blackout Sierra military romantic suspense is page-turning with exceptional world-building that is dangerous and suspenseful, leaving readers on the edge of their seats, and characters who are an alpha protective Navy SEAL/a defiant heroine who refuses to be controlled but can't keep her hands off him, who are both captivating and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with the iron shield, Rome and Stina's story, a happily-ever-after worth fighting for, explicit romance that is consumed by steamy, sizzling passion, lust, desire, and spice with all the feelings to leave readers breathless and begging for more, chaos/drama, Rome and Stina are the most explosive combination of all because he's in control and she's all chaos when danger engulfs them, heartfelt emotions/emotional depth, action, adventure, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the iron shield and an explicit, explosive SEAL Team Blackout Sierra military romantic suspense that is sure to transport readers into a world that is immensely dangerous, lustful, intriguing, and unforgettable.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Iron Shield was an action-packed, steamy military romantic suspense that delivered everything I love about protective SEAL romances—danger, tension, undeniable chemistry, and a hero who will do anything to keep the woman he loves safe.

Jack Rome was the perfect controlled, disciplined SEAL hero. He’s used to following the mission, staying focused, and keeping his emotions locked down, but Stina challenges everything he thinks he knows. Watching him struggle between maintaining professional distance and giving in to the connection between them made his character journey incredibly satisfying.

Stina was a fantastic heroine. She was independent, outspoken, and not the type to quietly follow orders. I loved that she pushed back against Rome instead of simply accepting his protection. Her strength and determination made their dynamic so much more entertaining, especially as Rome slowly realized she wasn’t someone to control—she was someone worth standing beside.

The chemistry between them was intense from the start. Their constant banter, arguments, and attraction created the perfect enemies-to-lovers feel while the suspense kept the stakes high. The danger surrounding Stina added excitement and urgency, making every moment feel like there was something bigger at risk.

I also loved the balance between the action and the romance. The story gave plenty of thrilling moments while still allowing Rome and Stina’s relationship to develop emotionally. Seeing two people who are complete opposites learn to trust each other was the heart of the book.

If you enjoy protective Navy SEAL heroes, strong heroines, military romantic suspense, forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers tension, and a couple who fights for their happily ever after, Iron Shield is a fantastic addition to the SEAL Team Blackout Sierra series!.

Iron Shield is the second book of the SEAL Team Blackout Sierra series. It is so much fun watching their stubborn bickering slowly melt into this fierce, protective bond and palpable chemistry. This is a captivating and compelling read with a complex storyline and well-developed characters. Iron Shield is an engaging, high-stakes, grumpy-meets-sunshine romance featuring the intense dynamic between Navy SEAL Jack Rome and Stina Rivera.

Rome is the alpha operator—controlled, rigid, uncompromising, and completely focused on the mission. Stina is a fiercely independent waitress who refuses to bow down to his authority. From their very first interaction, their opposing personalities create a spectacular, combative energy that jumps off the page. The banter is sharp, funny, and loaded with underlying tension. What makes their romance work so beautifully is how the forced proximity forces them to peel back each other's layers. Rome's instinct to follow the rules and to have control goes against Stina's need for freedom, but as the danger escalates they turn into a fierce, unwavering protectiveness. The transition from stubborn adversaries to an unstoppable unit, team, and partners in crime feels earned, intense, and incredibly steamy.

If you love the grumpy/sunshine dynamic, bodyguard protection, high-stakes suspense, and a romance that burns hot from start to finish, Rome and Stina will completely win you over!

Someone wants Stina Velez silenced. Jolie's best friend and a fellow waitress, Stina receives a picture of  her and Jolie with a sniper cross drawn on their faces. Panicked, she reaches out to Jolie triggering Blackout Sierra to personally take her under their protection.  Only thing,  Stina believes that she doesn't need protection and refuses to be told what to do.

Jack Rome is a member of SEAL Team Blackout Sierra. He's unflappable, dependable and able to look at a situation from every angle to decipher hidden meaning. What he isn't is able to do is guard someone like Stina without losing his mind. She's argumentative, sassy and has curves for days which shouldn't be distracting but which he can't stop looking at or thinking about.

As the danger around Stina and Jolie becomes equal parts more apparent as well as mystifying, will he be able to keep his assigned asset safe without losing his heart to her first?

"Iron Shield is the second book in the SEAL Team Blackout Sierra series which is part of author Em Petrova's greater SEAL Team Blackout book world.  Rome is grumpy on the surface but definitely possesses book boyfriend energy in spades. Stina is a gal who will not be told what to do. A bit too hard on the outside but with the right man, she slowly shows her softer side which is a delight to see. These two are quite the match and it was fun to read their story. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series featuring Rivers.  A definite must read!

The second book in this amazing series continues with another unexpected visit to Blackout Sierra. The site is located under a closed ski lodge which had been taken over by the government. Stina Velez is working as a waitress at a local restaurant when a man is murdered. Before she can even understand what is going on, someone is after her and she has no idea who or why. She learns that the dead man was watching her and that her life is now in danger. When SEAL Operative Jack Rome rescues her from being kidnapped, she is on her way through the winter weather with no idea where she is going…or why. She makes sure that Rome understands that she is not happy and expects some answers. Why would anyone want to kidnap her? She’s more worried about her apartment, her job and her lack of money. Arriving at the compound, in a hood (she was NOT happy about that), the only one who paused some of her anger was seeing Jolie there. Jolie had worked with her at the restaurant, but why would anyone be interested in them? Rome is assigned to protect her and he is not used to someone questioning his “requests”, but he soon can’t control the strong attraction for her. They know that the people who want her, and Jolie, will not give up. Could Cipher be behind the threat, but if so, why? Strong men and the strong women who love them! Reeled in the first paragraph! Em Petrova doesn’t waste a second — she hooks you immediately and drags you straight into the chaos, the chemistry, and the deliciously combustible tension between stoic Rome and feisty, sarcastic Stina. It’s one of those openings where you blink, and suddenly you’re 20 pages deep, wondering how your coffee went cold.

Rome is the classic quiet storm: all discipline, shadows, and tightly‑controlled emotion. Stina? She’s the spark that keeps lighting his fuse — sharp‑tongued, stubborn, and absolutely unwilling to let him brood his way through life. Their dynamic is pure friction‑turned‑fire, the kind that makes every mission, every argument, and every stolen moment feel like it’s charged with something dangerous and irresistible.

And let’s talk about the Blackout universe crossover magic. Petrova brings in ALL the Blackout teams from the different series, weaving them together like one giant tactical family reunion — but with more weapons, more attitude, and way better banter. It makes the world feel huge, connected, and alive, and fans of the broader Blackout world will eat it up.

The danger hits hard, the intrigue keeps twisting, and the emotional payoff lands exactly where it should. Rome and Stina don’t just survive the mission — they survive each other, and that’s half the battle.

A strong, addictive continuation of the series with a couple who clash, spark, and ultimately lock in tight.

Sierra’s hideout may be compromised.
Someone wants Stina Velez dead. Why? She’s just a waitress. The mystery gets more complicated when the team finds the danger extends to Stina’s BFF, Jolie, from book 1. They worked together as waitresses, and on the job, they both saw and heard something they shouldn’t have. It meant nothing to them, but it meant something to the bad guys. This group allows no witnesses to live. In book 1, Hard Pursuit, Jolie doesn’t understand why she’s being stalked. She is rescued by Sierra team member Monk, they fall in love, and she is moved into the secret Blackout Sierra compound. In book 2, Iron Sheild, the reason the girls are being stalked is uncovered. Turns out the person Sierra team is tracking may be the lady’s stalker. Rome will end the world to save Stina.
Stina is a smart-mouthed, obstinate person, but it doesn’t matter; Rome still falls for her. Rome is a hot lover, giving Stina a sexy, sweet relationship. Stina hates being ‘trapped’ in the underground compound but finds her true calling as a self-taught chef. Rome and Stina are a great couple. I received a free ARC copy of this story from Booksprout, and these are my thoughts. Linda

Iron Shield, book two of SEAL Team Blackout Sierra by Em Petrova, continues the saga of a mole high in government who is working against the good guys. Jack Rome (SEAL Team Sierra operator) is sent to check on the bodyguard of Stina Velez, a witness to something nefarious. Both she and her friend, Jolie, are believed by the bad guys to have overheard an illegal operation. They don’t know what they know or don’t know, but the bad people are after them. Stina is brought back to the hidden Sierra base, and there, her romance with Rome begins. Though this story is a continuation of the overarching plotline begun in Jolie and Monk’s book one of the series, neither one is cliffhangerish. The focus is on the characters, the romance, and the isolation of a black ops compound. The women must find their roles in a changed life. Therein lies the adventure, and both Jolie and Stina find their niche and men. Ms. Petrova weaves the tales so smoothly that both books are standalones, with the dangerous link almost a subtle aside that doesn’t leave readers hanging. It’s well done. Rome is tasked with protecting Stina who Jolie's coworker at the restaurant was after she received a photo of the two with crosshairs over both of them.
he travels to Chicago, finds the FBI agent dead, and takes Stina to a secure site. She gives him grief every step of the way, they are ambushed while traveling to a secure naval base.
She is transported to the Team Sierra base where she is greeted by her friend Jolie. She continues to gripe at the restrictions of the base.
She and Rome continue to antagonize each other. This turns into an off the charts sexual encounter. They both know there is no future for them.
This story kept my interest from the very first page. I loved the feisty attitude of Stina who wants to get her life back. Rome is the stalwart protector who puts her first all the while lusting after her.
There is a surprising ending to the story which I won't spoil.
This is a binge worth read with plenty of heat and suspense.

Iron Shield is about Jolie's best friend Stina who finds herself in the crosshairs of some very dangerous men. Rome locates Stina at the restaurant where the 2 girls had worked together. Unfortunately Rome found Stina's secret bodyguard dead in restaurant dumpster. Knowing she's in danger (but not why), Rome whisks her to Blackout Sierra's underground bunker where the two best friends can catch up while under military protection
Rome and Stina are oil and water from the first words spoken. He, a confident military ghost op SEAL, doesn't know how to handle Stina; she is not going to allow Rome to "handle" her. As their chemistry burns hot, there is danger stalking Blackout Sierra and the two women in their protective custody.
Em Petrova always gives her readers a solid story with heated bedroom encounters. That said, these scenes are not over the top, nor do they drive the storyline. There's enough heat to keep its mature rating without detracting from the characters.
A solid 4.5 star read

Stina and Rome me on a night that she thought was going to be just another boring shift where she was constantly dodging the hands of grabby men. She is approached by a handsome but stern man who explains that a man she didn't know had been guarding her and is now dead in the alley behind the restaurant she was working in. That revelation sets in action events that lead to intense sexual attraction that neither can resist all while they are running from unknown men who are out to kill her for unknown reasons. This story had me hooked from page one with one twisted turn after another and leads both toward an HEA they never knew they wanted or was possible. I like that we see in this story how this is Jolie Simm's best friend that we were introduced to in Book 1 of this fantastic new series. Unfortunately, we get a few more clues of who wants the two best friends dead but no concrete answers which is good since that means there will probably be more stories in this series.

This was an action-packed military romantic suspense that kept me hooked from beginning to end. Rome is the ultimate protective, gruff Navy SEAL, while Stina is fiercely independent and refuses to let anyone boss her around. Their constant banter and push-and-pull relationship made for an entertaining slow-burn romance with plenty of chemistry.

The suspense was well-paced, with enough twists and danger to keep the story moving, and I found myself eager to see how everything would unfold. I also enjoyed watching Rome and Stina gradually learn to trust each other despite their stubborn personalities.

If you enjoy protective heroes, strong-willed heroines, forced proximity, and fast-paced romantic suspense with plenty of action, this is definitely worth picking up. An exciting, satisfying read with a well-earned happily ever after.

Plenty of action and suspense to go with immediate romance for Blackout Sierra's Jack Rome and Stina Velez, as the series continues. Rome rushes to Chicago when Stina's guard was unable to be contacted. He finds the guard murdered in the back alley behind, where she worked. He had to convince her, she was in danger which was no easy feat. His orders were to return to Sierra home base with her, and she did him bodily harm when he put the hood on her as they got close. Getting to see her best friend did not seem to help her temperament for some time. By nightfall the attraction between them had the bickering turning in to foreplay for them. Stina was use to being busy and being at Sierra left her with to much free time and cabin fever. Even cooking for the guys did not help with cabin fever, but it gave her something to do.

Jack Rome was tasked with finding out what made Stina, Jolie's best friend a target when Jolie sent a picture of her and Stina with targets over their faces. Stina Veldez worked with Jolie at Chicago pizza restaurant and was still there, but the Sierra team had tasked a member of another agency to watch over her and protect her...except he was found dead, and Jack Rome was now the protector...they got along like oil and water, sniping at each other all the time, but kissing her did shut her up for a little while...and he still bore the scratches from when he put hood over her head to take her to Blackout headquarters under abandoned ski resort...could they have seen man in Cipher's group who wasn't already picked up and now carried the torch?? You will need to read this thriller to see what happens.

Another great addition to Seal Team Blackout Sierra. While technically a standalone, there is a sisterhood between Jolie and Stina as well as growth in Jolie’s and Asher’s relationship. Stina Velez meets Jack Rome, a Seal at Team Blackout Sierra after her FBI protector is found dead. Stina has a lot of spunk and does not let her guard down due to bad relationships in the past. Rome for his part, due to his position felt that relationships were not possible. Someone is trying to kill Stina, and Jack will burn the world down to protect her. When these two finally give into their passion, they sizzle with attraction and the beginning of real feelings. When Jolie and Stina are taken, the Blackout Sierra team will do whatever it takes to bring the women home. This was a HFN with the bad guys, maybe a Cipher clone still on the loose.

Iron Shield (SEAL Team Blackout Sierra Book 2) by Em Petrova continues the gripping hunt for a high-level government mole.
SEAL Jack Rome is sent to protect Stina Velez, a witness whose life is in danger after she and her friend Jolie overhear a nefarious operation. When Stina is brought to the hidden Sierra base, sparks fly as her romance with Rome ignites.
While advancing the overarching plot from Book 1, this story stands strongly on its own. The focus stays on character growth, sizzling romance, and life in a secretive black ops compound. Both women must carve out new roles in their drastically changed worlds—and find love along the way.
Em Petrova weaves the danger and romance so smoothly that each book feels complete, with no frustrating cliffhangers. Well done!.

A fast-paced, chemistry-driven romantic suspense that thrives on the push-pull dynamic between a rigid, protective hero and a fiercely independent heroine. Rome’s controlled intensity pairs perfectly with Stina’s defiant streak, creating sparks in every interaction as their forced proximity turns tension into something far more intimate. The escalating danger keeps the stakes high, but it’s the emotional shift - from duty to undeniable connection - that anchors the story. With sharp banter, steamy moments, and a satisfying protective arc, this is an addictive read for anyone who loves alpha heroes softened by the one woman who won’t fall in line. A great read - I couldn't stop reading until the very end!.

Iron Shield, Book 2 of the SEAL Team Blackout Sierra series, is a well-written romantic suspense that kept me turning each page with its compelling storyline and well-developed characters. This author did an excellent job of combining the mystery, intrigue, and romance to make an exciting, on the edge of your seat read. The elements of humor, strength, and friendship woven throughout the characters, made me love this story even more. The featured characters of Jack Rome and Stina Velez are both independent, strong, reserved for their own personal reasons and experiences, and both filled with heart-felt emotions even below several layers of life. I loved their journey from beginning to end and highly recommend Iron Shield by Em Petrova.

Iron Shield is the 2nd book in the SEAL Team Blackout Sierra series and I highly recommend reading them in order since there's a close connection between the FMCs and the suspense plot continues on as well. I vastly enjoyed Stina and Rome's adventurous road to a happily ever after. She's a very feisty and strong yet vulnerable FMC and Rome is the epitome of stoic grumpiness until they meet. They strike sparks off each other from the beginning and when that translates into feelings, it's hot and emotional. There's plenty of danger and suspense as the team hunts for a mole - and the ending in that respect is a cliffhanger. Hopefully to be continued soon! I received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

Team Blackout knew what they were giving up, life, family, for their country. But these special women who fall into their laps will be the ones that breaking the rules for are worth it.

Rome never expected the spunky waitress to be more than an assignment, save Stina from the man who killed her protective detail, keep her safe, and don’t let her get under your skin. Boy did he fail miserably with the last one.

Another intense, exciting book, with romantic tension disguised as debating/arguing. Team Sierra is uncovering a deeper mole in this whole conspiracy and that puts a bigger target on everyone’s back. I can’t wait for more.

Iron Shield is a fantastic continuation of the SEAL Team Blackout Sierra series! Em Petrova perfectly balances a gripping government-mole plot with a scorching, high-stakes romance between SEAL Jack Rome and protected witness Stina Velez.

I loved that while it builds on the overarching mystery from Book 1, it stands completely on its own. The forced proximity at the secret compound allows for incredible character growth, and it’s refreshing to see the heroines actively carving out new roles in their changed worlds. Petrova weaves the danger and romance together seamlessly, delivering a fully satisfying story with absolutely no frustrating cliffhangers. Highly recommended for romantic suspense fans!

I enjoyed seeing Stina and Rome meet, their interactions and seeing their connection and chemistry develop until they had to do something about it. The start to their relationship was not normal, their forced proximity accelerated what was growing between them and I never doubted their feelings or that they were just what the other needed.

I liked the banter between the team, the betting and how they folded Stina into their family. I also liked seeing all of Blackout come together and decide they would protect them all by doing things differently. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series and if anyone will guess O's name.

Rome is the ultimate "I’m just doing my job" gruff hero, until Stina completely demolishes his composure. She doesn't take any of his military orders sitting down, and their bickering? Absolute gold. The chemistry between them starts as pure tension and quickly turns into a total slow-burn inferno.

The plot moves fast, too. It’s not just romantic banter, but actual suspense and danger that kept me turning pages. Watching Jack struggle between staying professional and falling hard for Stina was so satisfying, and her journey to finally trusting someone had genuine heart.

A high-stakes, spicy, romantic suspense that completely delivered. Definitely recommend if you love military romance with a strong heroine who drives her protector completely crazy!

This is the second book in the SEAL Team Blackout Sierra series. The Cypher mystery keeps rolling, another team member lucks out in love and the adventure does not stop here. This is Rome and Stina's story. Stina is Jolie's best friend, she is being watched and is in danger, her bodyguard is dead and it is time to bring her in to protect her. Rome is tasked with bringing her into the fold but these two clash something fierce. Rome has given up everything to be on this team but he gets a taste of something with Stina he never saw coming and is not willing to give up. Stina has left everything behind but is she willing to let it all go and start fresh. Worth every page flip, enjoy!.

Iron Shield brings Rome and Stina together in a fiery start. There is sass, arguments, eye rolls, and plenty of "I'm not listening to a word you say" moments that leave you laughing. I enjoyed watching Rome struggle to understand Stina and work out how to handle her.

Stina will definitely have you laughing and rolling your eyes at her stubborn denial of the facts. Their passion sizzles from the start, while the team delivers even more laughter, banter, and camaraderie that holds strong under pressure. As the threat that has been haunting them continues to close in, the stakes only get higher.

I loved it…
The likable characters and witty dialogue keep you turning pages long into the night. SEAL Team Blackout Sierra is operating out of a clandestine base hidden deep in the mountains under a remote abandoned ski resort. Team member Jack Rome is sent to Chicago to secure a potential witness, waitress Stina Velez. The two verbally spar until the heated sparks eventually bring them closer together. Someone had been pulling out all the stops trying to get to the feisty waitress and Rome is determined that he will be standing in their way… I received a free copy of this book.
