Redemption romance
Sharvi was humiliated and vilified her abusive ex and shun by good society. Aryana agrees to marry her over ejections but f his family for his business. What happens after much angst and pain is 2 people redeeming themselves and each other.

It had a good premise, had the potential to be a great story, and there were moments I felt emotional reading about the mfc’s pain. However there were inconsistencies in the story, less focus on character development, and a lot of repetition especially the word: ruthless billionaire (almost 40 times in the entire book) and repeated imagery about the hills of Ajmer. Almost turned me off from finishing.
Inconsistencies without giving away spoilers: when the mfc confides in mmc’s sister and he overhears it. That scene is pretty much deleted in the next chapter when he overreacts over something really small and becomes cruel. It’s as if that confession to his sister never happened.
2nd: the author does not give details of how long she was with the ex. Nobody has this much trauma over just a few months of engagement, especially since he really gave her emotional abuse and the threat of physical abuse. She was supposedly still living at home, so how was he able to isolate her completely? How was he able to get her this broken in just a few months?? The ex threw stuff towards her but the author does not allude to her having gotten physically abused. Trust when I say that having vases thrown near you, screaming in her ears, for a few months of engagement doesn’t give this Much trauma and nightmares. The first scene when the mmc has a glimmer of her trauma was fine, but every nightmare scene after that was over the top.
I would have liked the author to have given her past story more concrete substance with a longer engagement period & some truly traumatic story. There are women out there who are truly abused and don’t have this much emotional trauma. She could have alluded to the mfc having seen something gruesome about her ex; he may have physically abused her (like in “sleeping with the enemy” movie or Susie Tate’s book: “unperfect”), etc. It’s real life and these things do happen.

Abused heroine
She was abused by her ex boyfriend and I cried when she broke. It was hard to read. I loved that the hero finally figured it out and protected her. The ex and his sister were spreading terrible rumors about the heroine that weren't true. The heroes mother believed them and treated her like trash. He had a momentary lapse of judgement and reverted back to his cold self but quickly recovered from his lapse in sanity. He took the ex down along with his family and it was good to watch. Of course we have the HEA.

There was a lot of repetitiveness. I think the worst was about their original contract no longer being valid, it was mentioned at least 5 times! Those repeated topics were a little tiresome. The timeline was also wonky. The month of May would be mentioned with then several weeks having passed but then the month of May being referred to again. I think this happened at least 3 times and to my knowledge May only has 4.5 week. Haha
These a triffling things but still get annoying because they slow the storyline's progression.
However, over all, it was a good story!

This book broke my heart in so many ways. But also when Aryan finally realizes the truth and protects Charvi it was amazing. I love how the author wrote about the Charvi and her trauma. The author did a great job of really bringing out the emotion of what happened. Great book!

Lovely fairytale…
I like this novel, but I have to say that a woman with that severity of PTSD is not going to heal without intense therapy. So while this is certainly well written it should not be viewed as real life.

Loved this story.
This was such a great story. It has some wisdom that you can take with you. A women who is a survivor.
