This was a heart-warming palette cleanser - especially after the shitty books I’ve attempted to read of late.
A loyal man is always going to do it for me. And this hero was exactly that. Normally, young virgin heroines annoy me because they’re usually written with zero personality. Probably for the readers who are self-inserters. Since I am not one of those, I find those kind of characters boring. But this was a pleasant surprise. She did pull a stupid move towards the end, but I can just put that down to her age.
This is a quick, low-angst read (not normally my thing but it worked for me this time around). It was just a fun time. Sometimes we need these kind of books to make us believe that there are still some romance books out there that are still worth our time 🥰

By far my favorite and sadly the last brother. I need a spin off. lol. This follows Lorcan the youngest O’Rourke. These brothers fall first and fall hard and I love it. I’m also a sucker for cute kids and absolutely squealed when grandma showed up. All the adults are terrified of her and the kids love her and she loves them. It was honestly the best way to end this series.

My fav of this little series, and one of her better ones. I could have used 100 more pages just getting to know Maeve and Lorcan and their crazy antics as a blended family, but this was short and sweet.
Maeve is a great blend of feisty spine of steel and innocent damsel afraid to hope for help. She’s been raising her three younger siblings since she was 15, her mom ODing and her dad in prison. When she’s offered up as an arranged bride payment to the last single O’Rourke brother, the always joking and charming Lorcan, she’s angry, scared, and too desperate to turn it down.
Lorcan figures one little wife won’t be too hard to handle. While it’s not how he saw his life plan unfolding, he’ll do what’s needed for the clan. But when tiny fierce Maeve threatens his life right after their swift vows, he’s smitten, and forms a plan to woo the “angry little badger”, his new wife. When he realizes she comes with 3 kids working through their own traumas, his fun loving playboy lifestyle gets turned on its head, in the best way.
These books being so short, much is left for the reader to fill in. Still, this one had the most depth of any in this series, and I really connected to all the characters. The tiny bit of angst felt slightly manufactured but luckily, in a novella this short, it only lasted 1.5 pages 😆. Maeve was easy to root for, determined to keep her siblings out of the system and together, she’s been drowning for years. She’s stubborn and slow to trust, but you don’t dislike her for it. It makes sense given her history, and it only makes you crave Lorcan proving it to her all the more.
Lorcan is a well done golden retriever with a scary growl and a panty-melting grin. He’s all in from the jump, and determined to make not only Maeve but all the kids his own. He embraces insta-family with grace, and works hard to show Maeve he won’t let her down.
I loved seeing Grandma Kathleen as more of a person in this one. It was such nice growth from book 1 to now. I wish the brothers were in it a bit more, and we could have seen the entire family interact a bit more. Loved the epilogue and downloaded the bonus ep and that had me choked up and laughing. These two just have great chemistry and Lorcan is so dang hard not to swoon over. This was a great way to end the series!

I get this book 4.5 stars. I really liked the kid aspect of it and how the author Incorporated everything that FMC had gone through. I liked how the MMC who was basically not thought of as helpful to the family stepped up, not only for the family, but in his marriage. He was a great character and I liked how good he was for the FMC and the kids. Even grandma Kathleen stepped up.
Reasons that did not get a five star:
How on earth was the FMC taking care of these kids and having guardianship when she was under 18, with a dad in jail and a mom dead?
I would’ve also like to have seen more interaction with all the previous characters from the other books. It would’ve been nice to see that the brothers of the MMC saw what an upstanding guy he was and included him more in the family business. However, I don’t know if that was necessary since his priorities lie with his new family.
Overall, I thought it was a really good book and it was right up my alley. I think if the author had allowed the book to expand on more of the characters lives and interactions this could’ve been a superb book. I like this author style of writing I just wish she made longer books so that it could really bring the reader in more.

I absolutely loved this one. Lorcan was so fierce and loyal. I liked the entire series, but absolutely loved Lorcan. He was fantastic. Maeve was also so protective of her siblings. I could completely understand why she was so scared. She couldn't count on anyone but herself, so having Lorcan help with the burden just seemed too good to be true for her.
This book had the potential for way more than what we got. Don't get me wrong... it was fantastic, I just wanted more. More Lorcan, more Maeve, more everything. Even more Kathleen (if you've read the other books you'd be surprised I said that considering their mother was a stick in the mud).

This book has A little bit of everything in it and so enjoyable to read
A Mafia type book has the bad in it but this 1 centers mostly on the good part of it After The author shows us Mavs1st part of her life. The both Periods and characters that I frankly quite like the main characters seem well fitted for each other. The male main character in this story took to the ready-made family of siblings like a duck to water And actually I didn't expect that in this story. While the female part of the main character Actually assimilated well into the main family. It's a short story doesn't take long to read and those kinds are the kind I like to read when I'm really tired, and characters that I frankly quite like

I came for the gangsters and left with the warm fuzzies, and that's not a bad thing. This book is a pleasant surprise. The author could've fleshed this one out more as the characters are all ... well ... fun, there's no other word for it. Minor editing mishaps, like when the author calls Brianne "Brittany" then switches back again. Ooops. I'm reading along, thinking, "Who the H is Brittany?" This book is a quick and easy and enjoyable palette cleanser. Only drawbacks: Minor editing and too short.

Loved it...
I wish it lasted longer. It seemed like a novella. But it was really good. MFC had a really hard time, caring for 3 siblings. MMC agreed to marry for family reasons to help deal with ties to their "business " dealings and the MFCs father was the police officer that had information on everything. I just wish this was written out into longer book as their characters developed.

After I read book 3 of this series, Taken by the Irish Mobster, I stated in my review that it was my favorite book thus far of this series. In a small its still true but this book, this book puts that book to shame. Hands down my favorite couple in this series is Lorcan & Maeve. Overall I enjoyed this whole series immensely.

Great story
This is a very well written, easy to read, quick story. I like that it doesn't drag out minutiae, and doesn't fuss over tiny details. I adore Lorcan. I would have liked for her to address her father at the end, and admit that he actually made a very good deal for all of them. Forgiveness is always a nice touch.

Tears!!!
Oh wow, this book! I was worried that it would have bratty kids and I would have to stumble through just because I loved the series and the author and wanted to finish the series... but I think it might have been the best of the bunch! Those kids!!! And the FMC and MMC are so incredibly matched!

Maeve and Lorcan’s story was a great addition to this series. She’s fiercely protective of her siblings, and her strength and girt are a wonderful counterpoint to Lorcan’s mischief.

Love a single guardian trope!
I loved Lorca since book one - and he was all in for Maeve and her three siblings from the beginning! Maeve is such a tough character and I loved how Kathleen (who would have thought!) was the one who helped her overcome her fears!

Fantastic and short
This is book 4 in the O'Rourkes brothers books. I eagerly awaited its release and it did not disappoint. Lovely wee read. Especially if looking for something short and sweet.

A wonderful series with a perfect imperfect family. It’s best read binged but the rest of us were patiently inpatient. I encourage everyone to read this series it’s so much fun without a lot of drama.

was heading for 4…….
Was really enjoying this one. Lorcan is so funny and I liked the ballsy nature of Maeve. But the traditional 3rd act breakup was ridiculous. It was weak, and ruined my enjoyment.

A great read
This book held my interest from start to finish. A good well-written story no editing problems. No abuse or violence against women interesting story and a little spice. I really like this author.
