This is the third book in the Nexus series by Lainie Suzanne. If you've read Nexus and Soleil then you're familiar with Gina who works the front desk at club Nexus. In exchange for her employment Gina gets a free membership to the club which she would never be able to afford otherwise. Gina grew up in a small town in Alabama, her parents were members of a Fundamentalist Church. They had a husband picked out for her since she was a girl but Gina got kicked out of the house/church when she was 18 because she went to a friend's party and was dancing to the devil's music. She had always been interested in BDSM and being dominated by a man. She soon met a man online who claimed to be a Dom but he turned out to be a nightmare. Leo is a Master at Nexus, he and Isaac served in the military together and he now works as Isaac's foreman at his construction company. Leo is a very strict Dom but above all else he demands complete honesty and communication something Gina is seriously lacking. Gina is embarrassed by her past and is afraid of what Leo will think of her if he knew the truth. The past is about to come back and it will impact more than just Leo and Gina's lives.

I was given an ARC for a honest review. I have been looking forward to the this third instalment of the Nexus series and Lainie Suzanne did not disappoint!

Deceit is Leo and Gina's story. By the end of chapter one, I already had goosebumps from one brief interaction between these two and one simple word of "Good". It just got hotter and more emotional from there. Leo and Gina do not have an easy relationship due to past events, trust and communication issues. Lainie Suzanne's writing ensured that I was emotionally involved with this couple and I frequently could be found reaching for a tissue.

I had many "did not see that coming" and "no way" moments throughout the entire book from all characters, old and new. It kept me interested to see what could possibly happen next. We also get caught up on the lives of various club members already known to the reader and are introduced to many new club members. Hopefully, these new people will find their own books in this fabulous series! (Hint hint Ms Suzanne)

Deceit was definitely a 5 star read!!!

Taking a trip back to Nexus in this book, and all I can say is what a ride! In this third installment of the Nexus series we watch as sexy, intense, Dominant Leo and the beautiful, flighty, submissive Gina give it a go as a D/s couple. What follows is an intense, sexually explosive, and unexpected series of events.

This story was filled with good humor as well as a captivating plot that will have you hooked from the very first chapter. I loved how we got to see both character points of view through out the entire story, and a few of the characters from the previous books as well. The characters were very real and I found it very easy to relate to what the characters were feeling throughout the entire book. There were also several twists in the story that completely through me for a loop, and just left me reeling. All of this combined with some of the hotest sex scenes of the entire series and it made for the best read I've had from Lainie yet!

If your looking for a book to sink your teeth into this book is for you. Third in the series, but the best so far (in my humble opinion) this book is sure to keep you up late in the night hungry for more. Oh and don't forget the scorching sex scenes that are bound to leave you squirming and hot all night. Thank you Lainie for an absolutely excellent read! I can't wait to see your future books.

I felt like this book could have been so much better. The plotline with Gina’s history with the cult was interesting and I enjoyed reading about her background and how that shaped the decisions that she made currently during this story. I felt like that could have been explored more deeply. I just felt that the connection between Leo and Gina as well as their entire story was glossed over in favor of tying it to the prior two books.

I sometimes enjoy hearing about couples continuing their romance as a part of books further along in their series, but I did not like that entire chapters in this book were devoted to Katherine/Isaac and Derek/Deb/Patrick. It kind made Leo feel like he wasn’t the hero in his own story. I had one conversation about his background and one reference to it and then the book was over.

It was more like a novella with an update on the previous two stories included. I do not think I will continue with this series. I prefer full-length stories that are focused on the main characters.

Gina is such a sweetheart! She seems so fragile. She’s relatively inexperienced in the lifestyle. She has a mentor in Mistress Charlotte, thankfully. She also finds a mentor in the Dom she desires, who appears to desire her, Master Leo. One slightly alarming fact... Leo is NOT a gentle Dom. Gina just wants to be the good dub he desires. This brings her to keep some things from her past from Leo. But, of course, the past has a way of coming back to haunt us. Gina’s painful past comes crashing into her present and threatens to take her bright future away. Gina is so much stronger than I, or she even knew she could be. With Leo’s help she found her true submissive and appears on her way to her happy ever after. Again, Lainie updated me on all my Nexus family.

Deceit is book three in the Nexus series and great hot read! This is Leo and Gina's story. Leo and Gina have appeared in the first two books but this one we learn more about who they are and see them together, which is pantie melting hot! When the past comes calling things get tense and a little suspenseful which just adds to the story and helps make this book impossible to put down. We also get to know more about our favorite couples from the first two books and a couple surprises along the way. This whole series is a must read!

Ever since Gina left her troubled past behind in Alabama she has tried to find her true happiness. Club Nexus and the people she's met there have opened her eyes to a new way of life and exposed her submissive nature. With her desires awakened and her sights set on Master Leo, she decides it's best to let the less desirable aspects of her old life fade into the darkness.

Master Leo has a reputation for being a bit more sadistic than the other Dom's at Club Nexus. While he's had no trouble finding women to occupy his time, finding a worthy sub to accept his demanding nature has proven more difficult, that is until he starts to train Gina. Just when Leo thinks he's making headway with the beautiful sub, he discovers her deceitful ways. Will Gina realize the error of her ways and come clean about her life to Leo? Or will Gina's past come back to haunt her destroying chance at happiness with the sexy Dom?

As Gina's story unfolded, it opened up a world of deceit that drew me in. I found myself unable to put the book (tablet) down. Once the web of secrets is unraveled, the compassion I felt for Gina was profound. Without a man like Leo, Gina may have succumbed to her old ways, the life her parents had set out for her.

Deceit offers a darker look at the "vanilla" lifestyle than what was depicted in the first two books in this series. Lainie Suzanne has shown that the perceived "normal" is not necessarily a better way to live. Living an open and honest BDSM lifestyle can bring true passion, love and happiness if you let your baggage go. As with Nexus and Soliel, Deceit offers gorgeous Doms and beautiful submissives engaged in supremely erotic acts.

If you are looking for a great story with steamy hot sex, Deceit will not disappoint. Unless of course, you have no outlet for your own heightened desires. In which case, double check your booty call list, battery supply, and electrical outlets prior to starting this book. That's right, the heat rises on the first page, so be prepared! I loved this book, but I will admit to wanting more Leo (sigh... Leo) I miss him already. I rate this book 5 stars and cannot wait for the next installment of the Nexus series!

Although I was provided an ARC for my honest review, I purchased a copy to add to my collection of books I love!

Growing up in a cult-like religious family, Gina didn’t embrace her parents’ strict rules or their church’s extreme beliefs. After leaving home, then escaping a violent relationship, she ends up working at Nexus. Seeing both D/s play and committed relationships, Gina feels she has found where she belongs.

Leo and Gina aren’t really in a relationship. Obviously, they’re attracted to each other, and they play at Nexus sometimes, but there’s something holding both of them back. Gina wants Leo, but at the same time, he scares the crap out of her. As a Dom, Leo demands total surrender from his submissives. He definitely wants Gina, but sees she has some serious trust issues, so she isn’t the ideal sub.

She and Leo try to begin a D/s relationship. Leo slowly introduces her to what he wants in a relationship, and works to expand her boundaries. Having issues in her past, Gina isn’t always certain of her decisions, so she pushes Leo away, thinking it’s what’s best for him. Leo knows there’s something special about her, and he just wants her to see that instead of always doubting herself. No matter how hard she tries, Leo won’t give up on her. He’s very protective of Gina, and that’s exactly what she needs; someone to stand up for her when she isn’t so sure she can stand up for herself.

I love this series by Lainie Suzanne. The struggles Gina has with rejecting her parents’ religious views, maintaining her own spirituality, loving herself, and trusting Leo enough to give him her full submission, and without losing her own identity are issues we can all relate to. The friendships between the women are genuine and strong, as are the close bonds between the guys. They’re a family, and would do anything for each other.

If you’ve read Nexus and Soleil, you know Lainie brings the heat! You’ll also see familiar faces and a few surprises. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I received this ARC for an honest review, and I give it 5 stars.

The Nexus series needs to start coming with disclaimers. *Not responsible for drinched panties or public orgasms* (Hint: Don't read in public)

In the third installment of the Nexus series we get the pleasure of watching Dom Leo try and get Gina to be his perfect submissive. Problem? Gina's past. Not only a screwed up home life but also a previous below par relationship. One where the man claimed to be a Dom but was more of a fraud. Leo realizes his main obstical with the beautiful Gina is truth. A firm foundation for any relationship to last, especially a D/s relationship.

Eventually Gina's past collides with Katherine's and it starts to put everyone close to Gina in danger. Instead of facing the issue head on Gina runs. One does not simply run from Leo McAfee. Punishments are given, lives are changed, and people tested. Choices must be made. And the sex.....

We get to catch glimpses of couples from the previous two books and get a look at what the future holds at Nexus along with a couple fabulous suprises. Lainie Suzanne does not disappoint.

I have been looking forward to this book for a long while now and I can say I wasn't disappointed at all. In fact I was greatly satisfied.

Loving trio of Deb, Patrick and Derek and you get to meet some new characters that leave you excited for this series to keep going.
If you haven't checked out The Nexus series you are missing out and need to pick up the first two along with this one. It's full of Yes, Sir and more please. You won't be sorry you indulged in this series!!!!

Deceit starts off HOT right at the beginning of the book! It definitely sucked me in right from when I read the first words. Lainie Suzanne hit another great book out of the park!

This is the 3rd book in the Nexus series and I loved it! And, this is Leo's & Gina's story which kept my attention from beginning to the end. I would say no cliffhanger but, definitely written for more stories to tell.

I do love the women in the Nexus Series because they are real women with real curves and real flaws.
And, Lainie Suzanne I just finished and I already can’t wait for the next book to come out!
If you love BDSM stories then the Nexus series is for you.

Deceit was gifted to me for an honest review. But, I also bought the book because I like to support my authors! I give Deceit 5 stars. What’s next Lainie?

Nexus just keeps getting better! Yet again, another wonderful look into the world that we can only dream about.
This third installment of the Nexus Series brings Gina and her story to the forefront along with the mysterious Leo. Gina is a sweet girl with a past that many can relate too (at least I can). Then there's Leo, bringing her into the woman that Gina wants and deserve to be. He teaches her that love yourself and listen to who you value most in your life, not who you think you should listen to.
This is a great addition to characters we already know and love along with filling us in to the ones we've already been enthralled with!

If you want to read a really good HOT BDSM series then you want to read the NEXUS series.

DECEIT is the third book in the series and it is Leo and Gina's story and OMG it is so HOT and I knew their story would be sizzling!! I just knew something was up with little Gina at the door and here we learn her story....well we learn their story. I am so ready for more Nexus so I hope our author is tucked away in her dungeon writing away because this gal is ready right now.

While you do not have to read Nexus or Soliel to follow what is going on in Deceit I would highly suggest both books to you either before or at least after this one.

Gina hasn't had much live in her life. Add to that the need to keep secrets keeps her from honestly communicating. Leo's hard and fast rule number one, open honest communicating at all times. Gina, for good reason, has been less than truthful with Leo and in essence has used up all her chances. On top of that she brought danger to her Nexus family in the form of her abusive ex. She returns to her parent's home and church in an attempt to mollify them. Things go terribly wrong but her parents refuse to believe or back her. Leo comes to her rescue and gives her one final chance to submit to him fully and honestly.

I WANT LEO!!!
Deceit takes us back yet again to that quaint Georgia Plantation House, better known as Nexus, for the story of Gina and Leo. Gina a small town girl moved to the city and Leo a contractor who spends more of his time out of the country than in it. I am truly convinced that each and every new book by Lainie Suzanne, just keeps getting better and better. Their story was by far the best I have read of the series with more twists and turns in the plot that interconnected to previous Nexus stories, in ways that you never thought were possible. I absolutely loved this book!

This is a great next chapter with everyone from Nexus.
This book follows Leo and Gina. They both come from a messed up past. Gina's troubled past comes back in a way she never expected. Can Leo help her over come all her issues and get her to become the sub they both want?
If you have read the previous books then this is a must read! It lets you get to know these 2 characters better but still gives you an update on the characters that we all love from the previous books.
