“The Writer’s Block” is an anthology of horror from an eclectic team of the best contemporary authors. The line up includes works by A.M. Adair, Eric Bass, Eric P. Bishop, John Guarnieri, Adam Hamdy, Christopher Hawkins, J.T. Patten, Michael Picco, Jason Piccolo, F.X. Regan, Steve Stark, and Thomas G. Waites. In addition, Dacre C. Stoker contributes the Introduction and Ben Scrivens provided the Afterwards.

The flavors of horror are as vast as the imaginations of the authors. First, and foremost, the writing is exceptional—this team brought their “A” game.

What makes this collection stand out, with only a couple of exceptions, the team goes beyond the slasher and vampire standards and explores old-made-new discoveries of horror. If you are a fan of Edgar Allen Poe, you will enjoy new life breathed into some of his more intense works.

I definitely look forward to a follow-up collection. This is a must for your late night reading list.

An amazing selection of authors works fitted into one book. I took it away to read on holiday something to dip in and out of; anthologies are great like that, bite sized stories you can get your teeth into. Introducing you to a selection of new authors and their styles. This anthology didn't disappoint I loved all the stories and it gets five brilliant stars.
