Overall, a good collection. There were definitely a few stories that I didn’t enjoy as much as others, but I suppose that can be expected in any collection.
The Edge of Mercy by Heidi Chiavaroli - 3.5 stars. It wrapped up beautifully at the end but for quite a bit of the story it was slow moving. The main characters in the present day were going through a tough situation but just didn’t find myself super engaged with their struggle. This dual timeline story was spent more in the present day than in a historical setting.
The Heir’s Predicament by Lorri Dudley - 4.5 stars. Loved the mystery that existed in this story. Wanted to keep reading to find out how it was all going to play out. I enjoyed the character growth of the hero and found the heroine to be inspiring in her faith .
A Cherished Betrothal by Denise Farnsworth - 3.25 stars. I wanted to like this book more than I did. It was very slow paced and I just didn’t enjoy the main characters much. It did have me looking up information about the Cherokee wars though.
Spark of the Revolution by Megan Soja - 5 stars. Loved this story. It was exactly the kind of story I was looking for in this collection. I didn’t want to put it down and am interested in reading more in the series.
Rescue in the Wilderness by Andrea Byrd - 4 stars. Enjoyable read.
The Pirate’s Purchase by Elva Cobb Martin - 4.25 stars. While not really set in colonial America, I enjoyed this story. The overall plot was good; however, I never really understood how and why the two main characters fell in love. They were good at working together for a common goal.
Mercy in a Red Cloak by Carrie Fancett Pagels - 3.5 stars. I enjoyed the characters and story overall, but there were times it was difficult to follow or things that seemed to contradict each other.

These 7 books were really interesting, giving many previously unknown facts about the founding of our Blessed Nation. Very well written and enjoyable reading experiences. I highly recommend these books.
