Cadee tried to contact and tell him that what happened in the treeboat that night would cement that love even though he never knew. When he comes back to town to fulfill his dead mother's last wishes, reluctantly, because Cadee knew he always wanted to leave Promise Springs, and finds out the truth, they know that they have to come clean with the one person that is more important than anything...their son. But at what cost to them and their son.

But with Huck's bad boy Hennessy Hooligan reputation it's not going to be so easy, but like most small towns the truth comes out eventually and Huck does not want the taint of his life to reflect on Cadee and their son. So he works hard to prove to Cadee and the town that he is worth of being a father and hopefully to Cadee that he is not going anywhere and that they can build something lasting because they love one another and their son.

This is the third book in the Honky Tonk Heaven series and like the first two this book does not disappoint the reader. The secrets and truths that were left behind when the Hennessey siblings left town come to light and bring such moments of love, laughter sorrow and joy. And with Huck and Cadee's love story it brings a HEA for them that is decades in the telling. I loved that Huck could show a vulnerable side to him to prove his worth and show the town and Cadee that he has changed and Cadee with all her protective instincts in making sure that her son his not hurt by the man who could rip her heart out again, can see that he too wants to protect the two people he loves most this the world.

This book is filled with all the wonderful characters we have to come to love in a Katie Lane book, handsome cowboys who know how to charm a gal, strong and feisty gals who know what their heart wants and a town filled with people who care about the happiness of it's people. Small southern charm at it's best to make the reader want more feel good reads with a HEA. You will laugh, sigh, cry and cheer as this couple finds out that love always will win in the end.

This is book #3 in the Honky Tonk Heaven Series and we have Huckleberry aka Hucks story and its has everything you can feel emotionally. Its compelling and heartbreaking and such a wonderful story of a second chance for love. Huckleberry aka Huck Hennessy and Cadee aka Catydid Stockton have been inseparable since kindergarten until one night together scared Huck and he disappeared and left Cadee with her son Camden ,but now Hucks back ,but when finds out he has a son ,will he disappear again? Or will he get his chance to prove he is in it forever? This book is so good and will definitely have you laughing in spots and blushing in some, but definitely cheering for them.i throughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. Loved it and another phenomenal book from Katie Lane.

This author writes family stories with broken heroes and the women who fall in love with them so well. There is plenty of sexy but there are tears as well until it all comes together in happy ever after. I am thoroughly enjoying this series. The reader feels connected to all the lead characters as well as the supporting characters who add so much fun to the story. This was a second chance for this couple and it was fun to go on this journey with them. I can’t wait for Poppy’s book! I highly recommend Promise Me Forever as well as the previous books in this series.

Cadee has kept a secret and it is about to blow up in her face - Huck has no idea the 1 time he and Cadee get together (then he runs) that she gets pregnant - now Cadee is going after his families inheritance for her son and to save her family ranch - things get messy, voices get raised and their rough is very rough to their final HEA!

Another good one from Katie Lane! I always love her books! Sweet, semi-emotional, funny reads! I would recommend this series and other books of hers too!
