Etienne and Taya’s story... I do love Chloe’s books even when they aggregate me with the oh so cruel ending. (laughs) no really. I like them because they are short sweet and to the point reads. I’d just prefer to have the whole set before hand. Be that as it may...

Etienne the suave sexy dragon shifter, just his accent alone will have you wanting to throw your panties at him. Ah.. But he himself as said how scandalous he is and he’s honed that skill for centuries.

Taya you cant help but just want to hug her, a late bloomer so to speak that is seems to be doomed for spinster hood. Taya seems to think her curves are a turn off that is why she is forever single.

With a chance meeting or more rescue, the dragon and human meet. Etienne cant seem not to want to be around Taya after that. His beast inside him rages with need and want. But the male knows better. How will he ever fight against the want? The fight isn’t made easy by Taya...she wants him. Then in a heated moment... All hell breaks loose.

Whats not to love about a dragon story? I may not like the cliff hangers but I’ll always look forward to Chloe’s weaving a awesome quick story, that is easy to get into and read right through, the characters sexy hot and sassy... And mesh well with the story as well as each other. Great read enjoy.

I have been waiting for Etienne's story for what seems forever!!!


Taya is being attacked and Etienne saves her when he hears her scream.
Etienne never thought he would be anyone's knight in shining armor but this little human seems to call to his kind nature.
He wants to save her and at the same time wants to get away from her.
When her attackers return Taya sees a side of him that she couldn't ever imagine but can tear them apart.


A fast paced story with lots of action and of course a steamy hot frenchman!

ohhh yea and a damn cliff hanger!!!

Another great book by Chloe that will keep you on your toes and of course hanging!!

This is the first book in the Obsession story. It is Etienne's story. In the Coercion books we met Willa (a werewolf) and Drake (a dragon shifter). Etienne is another dragon who is friends with Drake. Etienne is a French dragon who lives life to the fullest and yet is lonely for his mate. Although he would never admit that (typical male dragon) he wants a mate. We also meet Taya, a school teacher who is walking home from the prom where she has been functioning as a chaperone. She decides to take the short way home through the woods and is attacked by 2 rogue werewolves although she doesn't know that. Etienne just happens to be flying overhead when he hears her scream and he goes to her rescue. He chases off the rogues and carries her home. He pretends to call the police but instead the next day he has his friends pose as detective and sketch artist. There seems to be an attraction between Taya and Etienne and Etienne continues to see Taya with the excuse that he is helping her to forget her trauma. It would seem that Taya may play an important role in his life and just as things are starting to heat up, the rogues attack again and we are left waiting till the next book to see what happens! Looking forward to book 2.

I was waiting for Etienne's story. And this is a bang up start. Sweet Taya is very inexperienced. She just hasn't had good luck in the man department. Tonight at her high school prom—she's the chaperone--things aren't improving.

On the way home her bad luck goes down hill, the safe little town proves not so safe. She is attacked. When she realizes there is more to her assailant and she is going to die—Etienne takes care of the attacker—at least chases him away but helping Taya takes priority.

She's a sweetheart and way too innocent for his tastes, however...Can he resist her? Can she pursue anyone after her experience? And what would she think if she knew he was a dragon shifter?

But Ms Cole doesn't let just those issues conflict their relationship outside influences and decisions come back to interfere. Without spoilers I'll have to tell you to find out for yourself.

I read this straight through even though it was 3 am but I couldn't put it down. I will work on patience for the next one—but it will be a trial—talk about your cliffhanger. Hope my fingernails don't break off.

Meet Etienne and Taya. Taya led a quiet uninteresting life, until one night when she was brutally attacked by a couple of very strange guys. Etienne is a badass dragon shifter who has no time for entanglements, until one night he heard her scream, and came to her rescue. He even enlists the aid of characters from previous books(Coercion, Drake & Willa). From here it gets complicated, she has no idea of the secrets he keeps until the guys come back. Oh, this was compelling I kept waiting for her to get an inkling that stuff wasn't exactly normal, but all she could see was that hot as hell hero that had come to save her. When she finally does see there are strange things going on the book comes to a screeching halt. I hate cliffhangers!! Unfortunately it's too late for me I'm hooked, invested, I want more of that hot dragon hero. I love a story that makes me want to read more and this definitely does. Alright Ms. Cole where's the next part, these pins & needles are killing me!

A dragon shifter, Etienne is perfectly content fighting hard and screwing harder until he hears a terrified scream and can’t turn away and the chemistry between Etienne and Taya is off the charts hot and the sex scenes are hotter but Etienne’s secret may keep the relationship from going any further. These charismatic characters grab the reader’s attention from the very start and only demand more and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers on their toes with lots of excitement and passion as there is never a dull moment in the well written scenes and details that capture the imagination and I can’t wait to find out what is going to happen between Etienne and Taya after that rockin’ cliffhanger.

A young woman (Taya) is attacked by two men on her way home from the school where she teaches. It is dark and she decides to take the short cut though the woods. But two men attack her with the ideal of rape and maybe worse .She is lucky that another man (Etienne, a dragon) hears her terrified screams. He helps her thinking she is a young girl going home from prom. Taking her home he realizes she is an adult,beautiful woman, but he can't let her story out. Yet he knows they must be caught , so he asks friends for help. Why does he feel the need to help her, protect her? He hates the lies that he must tell her but knows he can't tell her the truth. Which when they are attacked again , to help she calls the real police. Now what will happen?

I given this book for an honest review. I was eagerly awaiting the story about Etienne after being introduced to this character in the Coercion series. He is a Dragon shifter who can scare and charm the pants off of any female with his handsome looks, money. powerful and chiseled build, and a French accent. Oh La La! Oh and did I mention a harem?? He shouldn't need and want for anything yet he does.

Taya is a school teacher who is strong, independent, smart, loving and lonely. On her way home from chaperoning the school prom she takes a short cut that turns her world inside out. Attacked by evil and rescued by Etienne, her life takes her way beyond what she thought was a safe existence.

What she doesn't know can kill her!

Taya's rescue

Etienne is not in the market for love or even a relationship. He normally doesn't get involved with other people's business. But when he hears a scream in the forest that rips right through his soul.
Walking home after being a chaperone at the local high school's prom night, Taya is attacked in the forest by two strange men. Or were they, and who should come to save her but a mysterious man who is beyond sexy.
Sparks fly between Taya and Etienne but there's just something about him and after this run in and another attack the very next day, Taya finds out. Things are not all they seem in this first installment of Etienne's story.

So glad Chloe decided to give Etienne his own storyline. There can never be enough dragon shifter books. This first book of a three book series sees Etienne come to the aid of Taya Briarcroft as she is attached by rogue wolves in the woods while she is making her way home. Etienne thought that he'd save the girl, get rid of the rogues wolves and that would be then end of it. Unfortunately for him that's not how this story is going to end. Can't wait for book two to see how things shape up between Etienne and Taya.

A Hero’s dilemma!
Taya is a nerdy school teacher who is attacked on the way home from a school dance. She barely escapes with her life. Her rescuer is a handsome alpha of a man that she just can’t imagine liking her. But Etienne sees something in Taya that he doesn’t understand. His dragon keeps pulling him to her.

In the first book of the series, you get an introduction to Etienne, who is a hero that although an alpha and sexy, is living a lifestyle completely opposite of Taya. He saves her from shifter's who try to kill her, and finds himself unable to walk away from her. Taya, a school teacher, is grateful for his support after the assault, finds herself attracted to him. When the shifter's come back to finish her off, he is there to protect her, but she can't deny what she suspects all along, that Etienne isn't human.

Very Intriguing Beginning

The story begins with an attack on the woman by two assailants. She doesn't realize they aren't human and her rescuer isn't either. She is lonely and falls for him quickly but he resists knowing he has a lot of secrets. He wants to get those responsible for the attack and not leave it to the police. It ends with a major cliffhanger and I look forward to part two.

Series - Shifters - Cliffhanger

Kindle Unlimited read. Read all the other series and started this one not realizing it was a cliffhanger...but dang I'm on the edge of my seat here! Loved the story and cannot wait for next book! She finds herself in the wrong place and he saves her from her attackers. He's hot and has women plenty and she hasn't had any luck finding a guy. Yikes it just seems to work so far...until the attackers come back. What a cliffhanger!!

I who hardly ever write reviews had to with this one. Definitely a 5+ star. I was in a middle of a doctor's appointment and broke out laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face. Oh. My. Goodness. Thank God for Bad-ass-ness. I was taken by the first part of this book. Worst nightmare ever. Walking alone in the dark. Attacked by rancid disgusting "men". Along comes Etienne. *sigh* He's hot, she's homely yet they thirst for one another. Then she gets attacked again by the same trashy scum. And everything changes.
