This was an enjoyable collection of historical fiction short stories. The eras ranged from ancient times through the early 20th century, with a variety of authors' voices and styles to mix up the reading. It was a good variety of "true" historical fiction and speculative fiction as well. My personal favorite was "The Straggler", a story set during the Civil War (big surprise that it was my favorite). I'd recommend this collection to anyone who enjoys historical fiction but is looking for some lighter reading.

The story I wrote in this anthology was inspired by "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. In fact, I just kept the title! I love it and hopefully you'll enjoy it, too!
