Bowl of alphabet soup.

Felt like I was eating bowl of alphabet soup, trying to keep up with all the selfish people. At the end finally got the all the letters lined up. But reading this book wasn't that much fun. Filled with many guilty, narcissist people. All about money and more money.

Confusing

This is one of the worst books I have ever read from the standpoint of grammar, tense, plot line and clarity of character development. It sounded like English is a second language for the author. The author should have someone who is fluent in English proofread his manuscripts before publishing.

Horrible Grammar Ruins the Book

I wanted to love this book, and the story line probably would have been a good one. I can overlook a few typos here and there, but the number and severity of grammatical errors forced me to give up in chapter two. Someone get this guy an editor!!!

2-part

Good story idea. Sometimes hard to follow. Grammar not great, had to restart sentences due to mixed tense in same sentence. Twists and turns that kept me turning the pages.

Carlson just hoped that Kiara and Jake would be able to follows his orders without adding to his woes. Trying to get information without alerting anyone. Influence people, Shawn only child, head of a finically institute his wife Cynthia now missing. Demands a list for blackmail and money. within two days. What follows is an intrigue plot, I thought very well done. It will hold your attention to the end. Characters Carleton and Jake seemed
a little brusque, in how they talked to people. Looking forward to reading more by author

So many twists and turns !

Agent Kiara Davenport and her partner Agent Jake Carter are great characters ! This story of kidnapping and murder moves at a fast pace, as your idea of who is behind the crimes changes from character to character as new clues are discovered The dialogue is believable and the characters are well-drawn I’d recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a non-typical crime thriller. I will definitely look for more books by this author

This book was torture to get through. Present and past tense used in the same sentence/paragraph made it confusing and required me to go back and re-read several times to understand what was supposed to be happening. The story was all over the place and convoluted at best. The characters were all juvenile and self obsessed. I brought this as a 3-pack series. I won’t be suffering through the other 2 books. The real mystery of this book is why the rating was so high.

While the grammar, syntax, and unnatural flow of American English detracted from the book, the biggest flaws were the inexperience of the author with the U.S. legal system. I was half way through the book before it was clear that the agents were FBI agents. The story had an interesting premise it was unbelievable.

Twist beyond imagine

FBI are investigating a kidnapping of a wealthy wife of investment husband. Both their families are influential and demand quick results. This book was quite good but at the end I felt the twist wouldn't stop and come to a close. I did enjoy and would read more from this author.

Needs a proofreader

This book reads like it was translated into English by someone who really doesn’t speak English very well. It has a good storyline and would be a good read if someone could fix the language.

'Perfect Crime' was another thrilling addition to a great series. The storyline was a bit confusing to me. I think it was the vast number of characters and the dialog between characters that didn't flow as smoothly as the other books in this series, 'Davenport Mystery Series'. The premise of the book was intriguing and the way it played out was pretty intricate due to the mystery surrounding the whole kidnapping, blackmail, mafia, alleged affair, etc. I didn't think Kiara and Jake meshed well in this story. But overall, I did like the puzzle of who actually initiated the series of events that transpired into so much more than they bargained for. I will read more of this series. I like the works of V.S. Vashist and just because I didn't 'get' this story doesn't mean I won't love the next book. A good add to your tbr list.

Not so perfect

Many twists and turns to the plot. There were too many errors in the book for it to be a great read.
