4 - "I chose you then and want us now." Stars!

Book three in Cristin Harber’s Only series, sets off straight after its predecessors end. If you haven’t read the previous two novellas I would recommend you avoid this review for now, at least until you have read Only For Him & Only For Her, as although it doesn’t offers spoilers to this part, it most definitely does to the previous novellas.

”Anything hurts you, I hurt back.”

Gray and Emma are firmly back in the place they want to be, it’s not plain sailing by any means, as you would expect years of separation have caused, mistrust and doubt to be the first reactions to everything that happens between them going forward, and not all secrets have been revealed between them as yet.

Gray is also trying to absorb that in leaving, his assumptions that Emma would be living the high life in college, partying and having fun, were completely, and totally wrong. Her reality and the repercussions of his leaving are very much a part of her day to day life, and the guilt for leaving her as essentially a single mother weighs heavy in his already crowded mind.

I fell in love today. Twice.

I am absolutely loving this series, and not being a huge fan of the serialized novella that is a big thing for me. Cristin, has bought together a couple that through all of their faults, and mistakes you can’t help but love and want the best for them. There was a huge elephant in the room at the beginning of this chapter, and added to that Emma’s family are now aware that Gray is back in town and involved in her and Cally’s life. It makes for a fast paced and fully filled read.

”Welcome to Titan.”

The men of the Titan Group also pop up again and offer an intriguing glimpse into the team, this isn’t a series I have read as yet, but the author manages to entice with the introductions, and I am anticipating an absolute treat when I have the opportunity to sit down and immerse myself in their stores.

Add to that, that Only For Us ended on the discovery that this couple and their reunion as a family still has quite a way to go, in Gray’s discovery of the one secret Emma had still been keeping from him, and in a place that could potentially prove to be dangerous for not one but both of them.

I am dying to find out what the author has in store in the fourth and final part of their story Only Forever is hopefully due for release in the very near future!

ARC generously provided by the author, and it was my pleasure to provide the above honest review in exchange.

I am addicted to this couple's journey to a happy ever after BUT I'm not happy to end with another overly short addition in a humdinger of a cliffhanger, and not know how long until we get Book 4 in what could have been done in two books. Most assuredly I would have rated a full story in no more than two books as a five star enjoyable read. I just can't understand why authors are choosing to piece meal these wonderful stories to readers in such tiny little bites that tend to irritate the heck out of so many otherwise happy readers.

But I'll stick around in hopes that I get to see all I'm hoping for in the final installment (here's hoping!).

This was, in the main, heartwarming and hopeful, and the character's reactions were very believable. I especially loved how big Emma's heart was. She could've made Gray earn back her love but she is crazy about him and she trusts in him to do the right thing this time. The romance was very swoony, and I'm loving this couple. The end was very predictable but definitely, entices one to want to read the final installment.

Thanks to the author and Inkslinger PR for providing a comp copy of this novella which I have voluntarily reviewed.

I am at a loss for words. It doesn't happen often, but I am going to try.

Working with Cristin has been one of the highlights of my career, and I'm forever grateful for her. But that has nothing to do with how this book makes me feel.

This series has that "thing" that puts your heart in your throat and makes your pulse hammer in your ears, especially ONLY FOR US. I felt all of the emotions possible and I can't wait to read the rest....

But mostly?
I can't wait for you guys to read this!

Stunning. So proud of Cristin in this new project. Just such great storytelling. Ahhhhhh!!!!! Love.

I knew her stripping was going to cause a problem but its funny how things work out. Grayson meeting his daughter! I think that was my favorite part and how slowly her family was there for him even after he left.

5 crazy, what-the-hell-just-happened stars! Wow….whew I need a minute to recover.

waaahhh

Ok so I just finished Only for Us and usually I give it a few days to let my words form and my feelings adjust to what I just read but OH HELL NO not for this one. I mean O.M.G people the ending made me start DAY DRINKING! And I don't day drink. Ok well I have been known to on occasion but it's been at least a week, scouts honor.

emotional
omg

The story of Grayson and Emma is so complex, compelling and profoundly beautiful. Cristin takes you on an emotional roller coaster that all you can do it hope and pray that you will be the same afterward. Her worlds flow with such grace that you feel every feeling that the characters are experiencing. That being said her cliffhangers are equally as painful. I wanted to throw my phone across the floor, ok so I did toss it very hard on the couch, but its fine people really just a little scratch.
I just witnessed a man meet his greatest weakness—and his truest love—and embrace it without thought of complication or fear. He's always been her father, but now I'm certain she'll have a daddy.

I should have seen it coming, with the way the other two books in this series ended but DAMNIT why that part???? I had it figured out around halfway through that Grayson would find out about Emma's……(can't tell you huge spoiler if I did), but I ignorantly didn't do my homework and thought that this book was the last in the series. WAAAAAHHHHH!

So Cristin I think it's safe to say that I hate you, I love you, I want to kiss you and I want to punch you all at the same time. Epic author.

"I was yours the day we met. Before I knew how deep I loved you, I knew you were my friend. My… person. The face I was supposed to see every day. The voice I was supposed to hear every night. If there's one thing that you need to know it's…Ems, I was made for you."

*Out Now*

My star rating for ONLY FOR US is: 4 out of 5 stars. :)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’
after reading an ARC Copy of ‘ONLY FOR US’
(via:BooksMoviesFandoms.wordpress.com):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novellas of the Only Series.***

This is the 3rd installment titled “Only For Us” of a four part novella series by Cristin Harber. This has so far been an amazing novella series to have been given chance to read and review. I’m still hooked. “Only For Us” is of the New Adult genre and Contemporary Romance story that has followed the main characters Emma and Grayson since their teenaged years into adulthood. This novella is written in the two main character’s P.O.V.’s(point of views), Grayson Ford and Emma Kingsley.

The story continues where it left off when Grayson returns to town and is determined to win the woman he loves back and to be a part of his beautiful two year old daughter Cally’s life. Now with Grayson back in Emma’s life, her family who has been helping the single mother raise their daughter Cally, might have problems with that. As far as most of them are concerned, Grayson got what he wanted from Emma then skipped town without looking back. So now, he has to try to make amends with her family who has been there picking up the pieces of Emma and Cally’s life. The only thing that they don’t know is that Grayson never knew about Cally and always assumed that Emma went off to college and was having a better life without him.

Grayson Ford comes back to town to win Emma back and the family that he didn’t know he left behind with her and Cally. He is determined to fix everything no matter what it costs because his heart belongs to Emma and Cally. When he returns to town he also makes the effort to put an end to his inner self-hatred he’s carried because of his mother’s death. His father has made him constantly feel the burden of it but now he’s ready to also face that past once and for all. With Grayson planning to win back his family with Emma, he sets himself up with a potential new job among the Titan Delta Group which he became aware of through his buddy Parker Black is a part of the Titan Delta Team. His first mission with them is happening locally in the neighboring town to his hometown of Summerland where possible human trafficking may be occurring and they have been hired to catch those involved.

How will Grayson and Emma handle it when Cally finally meets her daddy? Will Emma’s family be able to forgive Grayson for leaving? How will this new Titan job work out for Grayson and how will Emma finally tell Grayson about her new jobs including her job at Emerald’s Gentleman’s Club? This novella continues the great storyline that has been a constant with this amazing novella series. Readers will continue to be captivated by the mesmerizing characters and the wonderful storyline that brings on the emotional enjoyment it has from the start. I highly recommend this novella and the entire series because it is both breathtaking and incredible. Knowing that the fourth and final installment of the Only Series is next leaves me excited and anxious to see how it all plays out in the end for these characters. Heads Up: These novellas each end with a cliff-hanger feel to them but don’t worry. These novellas have been coming out close to each other so the wait is not long and definitely worth it! I adore this! You should absolutely pick up these novellas in anticipation for the fourth and final one. You won’t be disappointed at all.

My star rating for ONLY FOR US is: 4 out of 5 stars. :)

Another great instalment! And another one that ends with a cliffy. Though I did see that one coming from a mile. I just new thats how Only for Us will end.
But does that ease my need to get my hands on the next serial? Nope, not at all.
So the plot was not very surprising. But I enjoyed every single minute spent reading this one. It's a pleasure to absorb Harber's writing. Seriously. I utterly enjoyed this instalment, due to how well it was written.

"Damn. He looks like an old man rotting away from the inside out who just suffered through a barroom brawl. His wrinkled skin is checked with gray stubble. His sunken eyes are black, and scratches color his skin. His split lip is yellow and nicotine stained as is the hand wrapped around the generic-looking beer can."

This quote kinda outlines for me why I like reading Harber's books. And it struck me while I was reading the quote, that I kinda knew there wouldn't be loads of surprises, and while loads of the character building had been done in the previous instalment, I adore this instalment, because I simply enjoy Harber's unfolding of the story, the entire ride of it. Just love how talented Harber is in her craft.
Oh and don't get me wrong, there are so many epic moments in this. The MCs to grow and overcome small and big hurdles. And again, I was awestruck with Harber's talent. She does push the emotions, gets real, tugs on your heart strings but not too much, not too little just enough. Just the right amount.
For me this instalment proved page after page, why Harber is one of my favorite authors in her genre.

Just one more instalment and I can't wait to get my HEA!

Gah! This series is so good! The feelings that the story brings out in you are genuine and have you kind of all over the place. For some reason I keep picturing the main characters much older than twenty one years old but then I get reminded and I’m like “gosh they’re still babies themselves”. And that makes the feelings that they are feeling so much more intense. This was again the same format of dual points of view of Emma and Grayson and this is the third novella in the Only series and cannot be read as a standalone.

This novella started right where the second one ended. My heart was in my throat for both Emma and Grayson at the beginning of this novella! But ohmygoodness was I excited for Cally to meet her daddy. Honestly that scene could have not been more perfect! My heart just expanded for them and made me say aww!! But then again stupid Cherry, Emma’s older sister, had to be an ass and screw it up a little bit.

Throughout this novella it really showed that even though Emma and Grayson are together not everything was fine and dandy. They still had to deal with her family and it was not all rainbows and unicorns. But Emma and Grayson also proved that they were going to make this relationship work no matter what. I definitely liked the realism in this part of the story. I understood where her family was coming from with their concern for her well being but at the same time there are boundaries that shouldn’t be crossed. But hot damn I liked Emma’s mama!

I’m still a little scared at how Grayson is going to take the news of Emma’s second job…especially since that situation is what this novella’s cliffhanger centered on! Pretty much like holy shit…Grayson is going to freak the hell out!! UGH! I really don’t want this series to end!! I like these types of story formats but at the same time I feel like I need five to ten novellas to really satisfy my need for a full story line. Ultimately this is another great installment in the Only series. I’m excited to see where this author takes this story next! Hopefully she decides to extend it for a couple more novellas!!

“Anywhere you are, I swear I’ll be there.”

Grayson is back and it is time to start dealing with the consequences of his actions. In this third installment of the Only series by Cristin Harber shit is getting real. After walking away from the girl he loved two years ago Grayson has returned to find out he was not making her life easier as he thought but instead he left her pregnant and struggling to get by. Now is the time to reassure her as well as his former best friend, also known as her brother, that he is back to stay. But nothing can ever be that easy, Emma is still holding back and hasn’t told him the worst of it all and when Emma shows up unannounced at his hotel room things might be over before they even have a chance to really get started again.

“One call, one night can change everything.”

Emma and Grayson grabbed my heart from the moment I met them and as we get closer and closer to the conclusion of the series I am getting more and more anxious for them (and their daughter) to get the happily ever after they always dreamed of. Grayson has no idea the extremes Emma has gone in providing for their child while he was away fighting wars. I know that once he finds out everything is going to blow up. He is way to protective and alpha to let that go, it will tear him up on the inside (even more than he already is) and the drama will hit a pinnacle. I. Cannot. Wait.

“Grayson, I still want the fairytale.”

Only For Us does a great job of establishing Emma and Grayson as developing a relationship in the present instead of just reliving the one from the past. Not everything comes easy to these two but together they can work through any problem. Hopefully.

Continued story of Grayson and Emma. This is the 3rd book in the Only series. Should absolutely be read in order! This is another incredible series from the amazing Cristin Harber.

Grayson is completely devoted to Emma. He gets to meet his baby girl in this book. He cannot wait to hug her or hold her and his wistful longing is very sweet to witness. This is the book where I felt I would love to have this as a movie - so we could see the expressions on their faces.

Emma is very afraid even though she knows she is doing the right thing. She wants her little girl to know her father. She knows she is still in love with Gray and her siblings will have to just adjust. They want to defend her - but honestly - Gray would too. He is just trying to put them on even ground again.

Despite problematic people trying to interfere, they are solid and you feel that in this book. Their story is not over and there is yet another book coming for the Only series. I cannot wait - this is a book after book series that makes you hungry for the next installment. I am seriously starving!! It totally deserves the 5/5 Kitty's Paws UP rating given!!

This book literally picks up where the last left off (which I don’t want to spoil for people who haven’t finished Only for Her) - it is a fantastic bridge between all the emotions the reader has been feeling for Gray and Ems.

I started to read this within minutes of arriving on my Kindle.

Only for Him had me crying at the end
Only for Her had me not able to breathe
Only for Us has left me with some nervousness about Ems and Gray and their future.

There are moments that warm your heart, a few that make you laugh, and definitely a few nail biting ones. There isn’t a handbook on how to rekindle a love when you thought someone was lost forever. Gray and Ems take baby steps and honestly realistic ones to discover their love never died, if anything got stronger. They are taking it slow and taking their own path – which I love. I enjoyed how we see the people in their lives react to this new situation.

This installment must be read with the others, do not start with it – go back and read from the first installment.

If you have been reading this series you know just preorder now - lots of heartwarming moments with a little heat and a few old friends who stop by.

I received this book from the author and this is my honest review - but it is preordered for my Kindle.

Grayson has just found out about the secret Emma has been guarding from him and needless to say, he is beyond shocked. If I thought he felt bad for leaving Emma…well, words cannot describe how he felt in knowing he deserted the two girls in his life that mean the world to him.

I fell in love with Cally and her ability to dismantle these hard-headed adults. And I loved seeing how Grayson made sure to reassure Emma that he was back for good, and how he would never leave her again. Emma is a bit skeptical but I could totally understand her viewpoint. Seeing Grayson show Emma how serious he was about having her and Cally in his life and how he would do whatever he needed to, to provide for them so Emma would no longer be juggling three jobs and school, was just beautiful. He comes out and tells her everything that he wishes he would have shared with her back then, and now, and for me that is something BIG, especially when it comes to men.

Emma, though, has not shared everything with Grayson and I just have to say that the end of book three left me saying, ‘Oh Heck No!’ ~ Kara, 5 stars

Only For Us is the third book in the Only series by Cristin Harber and is yet another page turner that I couldn't put down and yes it has another cliff hanger at the end! So yes, book number four, here I come.

Grayson had no way of knowing that Emma was working three jobs, well he doesn't know about that third job, going to school all so she could raise his child. He has a child! A child he didn't even know about. How could no one have told him, of yeah, because he abandoned everyone, left without a trace. How can he convince Emma to give him another chance. How can he convince her has always loved her, he'd never leave her again when he's known for abandoning people. He also has to convince the entire Kingley family that he'd never heart Emma or his daughter again.

Can Emma forgive him? Can she let down the walls she has built to protect herself and her daughter down? Grayson, he's alive!

I am loving this novel in parts. So much fun to read it broken up like this.

In Only for Us Grayson has found his way back to Emma and is twisting himself into a pretzel to make up for past hurts and lost time. He knows he has made mistakes and is not afraid to put himself out there to gain the forgiveness that he desires. Emma isn't his only relationship that needs mended. Her whole family is hurting over his disappearing from their lives without a look back. Not to mention they've seen how much Emma has struggled and they can't help but hold Grayson responsible. Grayson knows how hard it's been to Emma but he's just now really seeing how far she's had to go to give their daughter a good life.

As Grayson and Emma begin to revive and build their relationship, there continues to be a lot going on. Gray looks for a job and lands one with Titan Group(my next Harber series to listen to!). They are truly finding their happily ever after with their beautiful daughter. But there are still secrets that need to be revealed and Gray is suffering with bouts of PTSD and survivor guilt. Will they be able to work through it all? Xe Sands and Jeffrey Kafer continue their incredible narration of this serial, leaving me wanting to find out the conclusion of their story! Harber has my attention, and I have to keep listening to find out the resolution!

Gray is uncertain what his future will hold but the one thing he does now is that he is determined to be the man that Emma and their daughter Cally deserve. That mean not only confronting his past but proving to Emma’s family that he can be counted on to be there for them going forward.

Although Emma was devastated by the way that Gray left she is unable to deny her love for him. There is a lot he doesn’t know about the time they were apart, and those secrets are about to be revealed and rock which may just rock their new relationship to the core. The performance of the narrators draw you in and have you invested in the story and the characters.

You know I was for her sister telling her getting back with Gray is dumb ,but when she goes and tells their brother and mom that Gray was back in the picture, that did annoy me. And of course Emma doesn't need anybody according to her, its none of their business, but she does want them to watch her kid right. She's not the only one who has to deal with everything. Shesh

Another thing is that Emma wants everybody to just forget about what happened and to move on. People just don't forget. Maybe she forgave Gray but everyone also went through Gray leaving not just her, they have they're own feelings about it so it's not just okay.

Gray talks about how he feels about Cally and that's cute but they haven't really spent any time together so how can he say that she's growing on him. The most they say is hi. But it is cute how he sees her and that he does want a family.

The ending OMG. I was like oh snap, he's going to catch you girl. :O :O :O Right after I finished this book I started on the next one. I just had to know how it went down hehehe. I think that Emma never really hated Gray, she probably acted like she did, and told people that she did, but she always thought of him. It seemed more like a break, and she they picked up right where they left off.

Well overall, I do think the book was cute. Emma has matured, she does have her weak moments when it comes to Gray, she will literally give up everything if he told her to. She did frustrate me sometimes. But there were moments where I was happy for them. Off to the next book.

Title: Only Us

Heat Level: 2 out of 4 flames
Overall Star Rating: 4 out of 5 stars

This third novella in this series, as the others do, starts right where the last one finished. Grayson and Emma were trying to explain everything that has happened to them since they were apart. Right after Emma explains they have a daughter, the front door opens and Cally, the daughter, comes running into the house.

This novella deals with Grayson continuing to try to deal with his past and the scars that the past has left not only on his body but his soul. He has huge guilt issues over leaving Emma and the life that she was forced to lead without him.

Emma feels as though her dreams are finally coming true with Grayson's homecoming. She ecstatic but knows that issues have to be dealt with. How will Cally react to having a father? How will her family ever accept Grayson back after he hurt her so badly? And how will Grayson react when he finds out about her occupations?

This story leaves us in another cliffhanger and boy, is it a doozy! I love Cristin Harber and will read anything she writes. She's just that good. If you haven't read her yet, you seriously need to get busy with that.

The third novella in Cristin Harber's Only series continues immediately where the previous novella ended. It's worth mentioning that this isn't a standalone read and you will need to read Only for Him and Only for Her first.

“I’ve got your back. Into battle we go.”

This offering came with a complete air of predictability. It didn't really hold any real surprises, but it was still a well-paced enjoyable read. Emma and Gray are on the same page, their feelings are as strong as ever but their reunion is marred by doubt and fear, which considering all they have been through is completely understandable. And there are still secrets to be revealed going into the final novella in the series, Only Forever.

“Welcome to Titan.”

As a huge fan of Cristin's Titan series, to discover this series has been linked was a real treat; for those who have not yet had the pleasure, it offers a small insight as to their dynamic, and for those of us who have, it's added another valuable member to the team.

Ending on another cliffhanger gives the reader little option but to pick up the final book to see if Emma And Gray can find their HEA. Which is what I am about to do right now.

This novella series continues to be so
enjoyable, mind-blowing and captivating.
It continues to follow Emma and Grayson
as they try to rebuild a relationship with
each other after being apart for a few years.
The story is building up on so many levels
while pleasing in other aspects. I can not
wait to see where their story goes in the fourth
and final installment "Only Forever" which is
next in this series. If you haven't checked this
novella series out, you truly should. :)

Sometimes a love story touches you down deep. This one does that for me. Grayson and Emma have been through so much to make their way back into each other's arms. Their love is actually transcendent of time and place because it is a part of them. They can no more deny it than they can deny their soul. Cristin has always been a favorite, but this story has a beauty that only true love has. She has taken a page right out of Sweet Girl and made it even better.

Super short read for the price tag....and I wish this was all put into one book. Just as the story starts...it's over. Reminds me of eating chocolate ice cream....and then regretting the calories. Until the 4th book....

OMG...there is still 1 more book. I need to know what happens. I love that they are reconnecting and trying to make a new life for themselves as a family. But the ending...OMG!! What is going to happen next??

Great series, highly recommend!!

It's the third instalment of story of gray and em's.

It's my fave instalment because the story finally picked up and you get a better picture of the situation and I love titan's involvement in this story.
The cliffhanger.... Arghhhhhhhh!!! Just as it's going to get to the good part,
