There are two parts of the arc in here that I really hate.

The doctor and the general are terrible people, both sacrificing their children in different ways, so when they say racist and misogynistic things, that shouldn't be taken as an endorsement, but those lines and the death of Consuela seem a little too comfortable. It doesn't sit right.

Also, I know we are supposed to be impressed with the withdrawal process and Bruce bravely facing it alone, but it doesn't feel at all realistic as to how recovery works.

A feminicide is never vital to storytelling, SPECIFICALLY the murder of a LATINA at the hands of a white man.
