When i saw the shark on the cover i was like no way they are going to make him fight a shark and where and why would he? But turns out he did kill a shark to save alfred's life but now he has to take on the super soldiers. This is by far the fastest trade paperback i read in legends. Its easy to read but its loads of fun.
One of the things I admired about the animated series is that the villains were interesting and invested with humanity. Their threats were real, but you could still feel for them.
That is where this one really screws up.
It would also be easy to make jokes about jumping the shark, but I can only shake my head in dismay.
