When I picked up The Parenting Code, it immediately felt simple and practical rather than preachy or overly polished. The book comes across like a calm guide for parents who want to understand their children better, especially through emotional intelligence, mindful communication, and everyday behavior. It also feels quite relevant to modern parenting challenges like digital distractions, academic pressure, and emotional outbursts.

What I liked most while reading is the tone. It feels supportive, not judgmental. The book does not present parenting as something perfect or fixed. Instead, it focuses on building a strong relationship with the child through patience, awareness, and consistency. That made it feel more real and usable in daily life.

The writing style is very easy to follow, which worked really well for me. It does not get too technical or heavy, so it feels approachable even for new parents. It reads like something written for real situations, not just theory. That simplicity is one of its biggest strengths.

The most meaningful part for me is how the book connects parenting with emotional intelligence. It moves away from just control and discipline and focuses more on raising children who are self-aware, emotionally strong, and confident. The emphasis on communication and understanding instead of only strictness made the book feel thoughtful and relevant.

Overall, it feels like a steady companion rather than a strict rulebook. It gently guides you back to what matters, connection, patience, and being present with your child. That balance made the reading experience comforting.

If I have to mention one small thing, I sometimes wished for a little more depth in certain areas. But even then, the clarity and simplicity remain its biggest strengths.

For me, this is a useful and reassuring parenting read that reminds you that good parenting is less about perfection and more about awareness, consistency, and care.

Parenting nowadays is difficult and confusing because of all the information that is available at hand. For new parents, they are subjected to advise from their parents, elders, peers, friends i.e. to say everyone around them. And in this age of social media there are no many influencers  putting out content left and right. Some say Gentle Parenting is the way while it doesnt prove to be effective in every situation. So how does one navigate this extremely challenging role? By being present for their kids. This is exactly what lies at the core of this book - The Parenting Code by Dr. Ajay Bajpai.

Author is a practicing Pediatrician as well as holds degree in Child psychology and this book bloomed out of his experience of handling parents and their concerns. He found that Parents need some guidance backed by science in addition to the treatments. This is exactly what his book does. It tracks the growth of children across all age groups i.e Infants (0-1 years), Toddlers (2-3 years), Child (4-13 years), Teenage (13-18 years). So even if you are not a new parent and struggling with a Teenager you will find some good advise in this book.

Unlike many theoretical books, this one is rooted in clinical experience and addresses over 125 practical questions that real parents face daily. The language is simple and humane, making complex psychological concepts like "emotional regulation" and "behavioral patterns" easily accessible to busy parents.

Best advise that really resonated with me is "Connection over Control" and "Trust over Judgement". This is the only way we can still be a part of our children's life in this age of social media and outside distractions. If you are looking for some parental advise which feels more like supportive conversation with an experienced mentor rather than a lecture then this is the book for you.

i was really looking forward to reading this book because parenting books sometimes feel too complicated or too strict. But this one felt very normal and easy to follow from the beginning. It didn’t feel like someone was lecturing parents. More like a calm conversation honestly.

What I liked most was how the author focused on understanding children emotionally instead of just controlling behaviour. A lot of points felt very real, especially the parts about screen time, tantrums, pressure on kids and how parents also get overwhelmed sometimes. I liked that the book never tried to make parents feel guilty. It keeps reminding you that parenting is not about being perfect every day.

The language is very simple too. I could read a few chapters at night without feeling tired or confused. Some parenting books use too many technical terms but this one explains things in a practical way. Small examples made it relatable. Even though I’m not a parent myself yet, I still found many things interesting because it also made me think about how children actually observe everything around them quietly.

One thing that stayed with me while reading was how much importance the author gives to patience and communication. Sometimes parents react quickly without realizing how deeply words affect children. The book talks about these things softly without sounding preachy.

Also, knowing the author is a pediatrician and has experience with child psychology made the advice feel trustworthy. You can feel that these ideas are coming from real experiences with parents and children.

This book honestly stayed in my mind after finishing it. It’s simple, calm and practical. I feel new parents would find comfort in it, especially during confusing phases when they don’t know if they are doing things right.

There are so many parenting books out there, but this one feels less like a rulebook and more like a quiet companion for the journey. It doesn’t try to overwhelm you with theories—instead, it brings together emotional intelligence, mindful communication, and behavioural understanding in a way that actually feels usable in real life.

What I appreciated most was how the book is structured around different stages of a child’s growth. From the early years—where it addresses everyday concerns like crying, feeding, and those first difficult emotions—to the school-age phase, where independence begins to take shape, it feels very in tune with what parents actually go through. The guidance never feels harsh or unrealistic; it’s gentle, practical, and rooted in understanding rather than control.
As the book moves into the pre-teen and teenage years, it becomes even more relevant. It talks about things we often struggle to handle—academic pressure, mood changes, the growing distance between parents and children—with a kind of calm clarity. I liked how it focuses on building trust and connection first, instead of jumping straight into discipline.
The writing itself is simple and direct, which makes it easy to return to whenever needed. The examples help ground the ideas, so it never feels abstract or out of reach. More than anything, the book reassures you that parenting isn’t about being perfect—it’s about being present, aware, and willing to grow alongside your child.

It’s the kind of book you don’t just read once and put away—you keep coming back to it, a little at a time, as your child grows and changes.

4.5 stars!

I jumped into this book, because I actually wanna know how it is going to present a very important topic that is sometimes overlooked?? (Especially in India I guess🤔) So I will be reviewing this book from two perspectives one from my professional and one from as a reader.

As a psychologist working with children, I could see the foundation clearly. The focus on emotional understanding, consistency, and modeling behavior aligns well with what I see in real-life cases. Many of the struggles parents face in my work come down to these basics. I did feel the book simplifies certain deeper dynamics/acts, but at the same time, I understand why , ithe author is trying to translate complex ideas into something parents can actually apply without feeling overwhelmed, which gives me immense happiness.

Now, from a reader's perspective, it felt warm and relatable. The examples didn’t feel distant or idealistic; they felt like everyday situations anyone could connect with. It made me think about how small, unconscious reactions can shape a child’s experience. I appreciated how it doesn’t judge but gently nudges you to be more aware.

I found it surprisingly insightful. Even without being a parent, it made me reflect on my own upbringing and how emotional patterns are formed. It didn’t feel irrelevant, in fact, it gave me a quiet sense of understanding about relationships and future responsibilities.

Overall, the book didn’t try to impress, it tried to connect. And that’s what stayed with me.

The first thing which impressed me the most in “Parenting Code” by Dr. Ajay Bajpai is the cover page, illustration and the title. With kids of the new generation being so advanced these days, Parents definitely need a guidebook for their upbringing. From childhood to adolescence the book covers a vast topic almost making it one if the best guide available in the market.

The book feels like an experienced person actually sitting and talking to you since the birth of a baby guiding us at each stage on how we should handle each and every situation when it comes to kids. Be it constant crying or making kids understand something or how they should talk or how they should behave or how a parent should behave in a specific scenario, this book covers most of the probabilities while dealing with kids.

The language is simple and the concepts along with dealing in an appropriate way has been so nicely jotted down by the author that it would surely make new parents visualize things from a different perspective. The book mainly focusses on guidance which can be implemented easily thus easing the relationships between parents and their children thus making their bonds stronger.

This book felt overwhelming post reading as it would surely help people who are associated with kids and teenagers to understand their behaviour and guide them in the right way. This book surely is a must have from parents to people who deal with children and kids to form a bond, gain confidence and weave the right path for children.

Being a mother, I am often burdened with guilt and self-doubt. Every time I do something, I feel I am not doing enough. There is always a lingering thought that I could have done better.

But then this book, The Parenting Code, comes into my hands. It feels less like a manual filled with rules and more like a simple, everyday guide for parenting.

This book does not pass judgment but instead offers understanding. It answers questions that are often clouded in our minds, doing so gently—without making you feel overwhelmed. It also reminds you that patience is not something we naturally have all the time, but something we practice every single day, especially as parents.
With little effort and conscious changes, parenting can become more meaningful and beautiful. Sometimes, all it takes is pausing for a moment, choosing patience over reaction, and responding with calm.

As a mother of twins, this book has quietly reassured me. It reminds me that I don’t have to be a perfect mother—just an aware and patient one.
For you and your kids, a calm mind can create a calm child. This book also answers so many questions that often stay clouded, guiding you through them without letting you feel overwhelmed.

And somewhere in between all this, you realize—calmness and patience in you will slowly reflect in your child too.

Parenting Code, written by Dr. Ajay Bajpal, is a perfect companion for new parents as it helps to establish an emotional connection between the parent and the child.

Though there cannot be any specific manual for parenting yet, it serves as a guide that gives every parent the confidence and courage to care for their child wholeheartedly.

In the modern era, when parents get confused about what will be best for their child right from the prenatal period, this book comes in handy for new parents to make informed decisions.

The book speaks about 5 crucial stages of a child starting from early childhood to their teens and the concerns relating to them. The author also shares his childhood experiences, which makes the book more authentic and reliable.

What makes the book more helpful is that it focuses on balancing love and discipline for the parents so that they can develop the child into becoming an emotionally intelligent and compassionate person.

The Parenting Code: A Roadmap for Conscious Parenting 📖✨
From the moment I unboxed The Parenting Code by Dr. Ajay Bajpai, I knew it was something special. What started as a quick flip through the pages turned into a deep dive into what it truly means to raise a child with intention.
Dr. Bajpai has poured years of study and life experience into this book, making the daunting task of parenting feel accessible and manageable. While I initially thought this was aimed at parents of younger children, I quickly realized its value spans all age groups.

Key Takeaways:
Awareness & Sensitivity: Learn to handle tantrums with grace and understand the "why" behind the behavior.

The Power of Example: The author emphasizes that the best way to teach truthfulness and values is to lead by example.

Child Psychology: It offers a deep look into the children's psyche, helping you move from a "confused" parent to a "chill" and aware one.

I highly recommend this to anyone who has children or is expecting. If you want to understand your child’s behavioral patterns and build a stronger bond, this is a must-read!

This book is more than a parenting manual. It indirectly supports a parent providing confidence and courage to care for their child wholeheartedly.

It is divided into five parts. Each part explains the common problems or queries of that particular age group children. Amidst all, I liked the section where he guides common principles for all parents and how to transform your kid to a better human being.

What sets this book apart is its use of simple, practical, experience -based language instead of technical medical jargon. Every chapter explains the challenges and gently addresses the emotional anxieties that come with them.

The author emphasizes emotional intelligence, mindful communication and behavioural understanding as foundational tools for raising children. He states that become your child's friend. It is important to give space and respect their correct decision.

Overall, it is a great help for all parents.

Being a parent—or preparing to become one—comes with countless questions about our children. These may relate to food habits, sleep cycles, handling tantrums, potty training, or even managing our own stress while caring for a newborn, and much more.

The first place we usually turn to for answers is the web. However, most of the time, we aren’t even sure whether the information we find comes from a reliable or genuine source.

This book serves as a perfect roadmap for every parent with such concerns. It includes 128 important questions along with brief yet practical answers.

The book is thoughtfully divided into five sections based on age groups: 0–3 years, 4–8 years, 9–13 years, 14–18 years, and a section for all age groups. To my surprise, I found answers to almost every question I had regarding my child.

I must say, this is truly a reliable resource for parenting queries, and I highly recommend it.

Honestly, most parenting books I’ve picked up lately just end up making me feel more anxious and underqualified. But Dr. Bajpei’s approach in The Parenting Code felt different—it actually calmed me down.

What really hit home was how he breaks down the "why" behind those middle-of-the-night meltdowns. Instead of giving me a rigid schedule that would never work with my chaotic life, he explains the baby's perspective in a way that makes sense to a sleep-deprived brain. I found myself nodding along to the advice on trusting my own instincts rather than just following a checklist. It’s a relief to have a guide that feels human, acknowledging that we’re all just doing our best to figure it out as we go.
