I've always been passionate about storytelling. From a young age, I found solace and excitement in the pages of books. This early love for reading seamlessly transitioned into a desire to create my own stories. I remember the first time I wrote a short story in school, and the thrill of seeing my words come to life on paper. Over the years, I've honed my craft through a combination of formal education in literature and creative writing and countless hours spent writing in various settings.

My writing spans various genres, reflecting the eclectic tastes developed over years of reading everything from classic literature to contemporary speculative fiction. However, the common thread that ties all my work together is a deep interest in the human condition, the complexities of relationships, and the eternal quest for meaning and connection in our lives.

When not writing, I often explore the great outdoors, drawing inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding us.

As I continue on this path, I aim to craft stories that resonate with readers, offering an escape and a mirror to their lives and experiences. I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share my work with the world and look forward to the stories yet to tell.

An innovative thought provoking book. This is a bloody good read the author encapsulates theories of truth (law of attraction and consciousness) it strikes a chord with me as I genuinely believe that if we humans are taught correctly we can alter the universe after all we are all just energy manifested in different forms. As Buddha said I am the tree. Marc Horn I genuinely salute you on one of the best books I've read in ages. Also cuffed was really really good as well!!!!

Marc Horn is a writer that always brings something unique. His writing may have the flavor of another author but for this reader comes as something completely new. What Horn gifts readers in “Timer” is a story that stays in the mind. What would you do if you knew exactly how long you have left to live? What would a society of people with expiry dates displayed on their chests look like? What choices would they make if there was a chance that your Timer could suddenly plunge from ten years to one day? Horn’s commentary on the culture of Timers is insightful and interesting and easily relatable to a non-Timer life.

The story goes in some quite unexpected directions and this reader does not mind admitting that there were some scientific elements that were beyond me. While not a physicist, I could certainly appreciate the importance of the information in “Timer.” For this reader, the technical nature of the work mixed with its science amped up the tension and led me to the doubt that Horn would take his story where expected and, of course, he did not.

Marc Horn is a wonderfully talented author who gives the reader polished and concise stories that leave us wanting more. I have previous likened this author to “American Psycho” author Bret Easton Ellis. I have no author to whom I could liken “Timer.” Horn’s latest masterpiece is something I have not seen before and I loved it.

“Stereotyping will be the death of man.” (Page 11) Before reading Timer: Season 1, Episode 1 Novella (Timer: Gripping Sci-Fi Thrillers), I would have told you that I hated serial fiction. I dislike the idea of an incomplete story leaving me hanging. I have in the past only read serial fiction when it was either fully or near complete. In Episode 1, Horn introduces the idea of the Timer – a shining display for all to see of the time a person has left to live. Horn also tells the story of Connor and Keely, a solid romantic with two years left on his Timer and the former prostitute he loves.

Timer: Season 1, Episode 1 Novella (Timer: Gripping Sci-Fi Thrillers) is a well thought out story that is sure to only get better. Horn’s clean writing style lends itself well in building tension that carries over multiple story-lines. Will D.I. Frank Stewart stop the serial killer? Where did the Timers come from? The story from Episode 1 could literally go anywhere but the fires of interest have been built. I’m really looking forward to seeing where Horn goes next.

If you like stories of mystery and intrigue, Timer: Season 1, Episode 1 Novella (Timer: Gripping Sci-Fi Thrillers) by Marc Horn is the story for you. Pick it up free today and if you like it, continue the adventure.

The author asked me to read the first episode and leave a review. Now I see this is just the beginning of the first season - How many will follow? I don't know, but I know I'm curious now and eager to read the whole story. It's an interesting scenario: Do we really want to know how long we are going to live? A philosophic issue combined with the crimes of an ominous serial killer. What's the connection? I don't know yet - but I'll find out.

In this 2nd episode we learn more about the killer but that makes things only more mysterious. Is there a scientific explanation to his ability to kill unseen or is he supernatural?
Obviously each episode focusses on a new main character, a new possible victim, all related somehow to the D.I. who's trying to solve the case.

In episode 3 the suspense increases and it made me look up the double slit experiment on wikipedia - and I never ever have been interested in quantum physics nor am I able to understand it. The bottom line here: our expectations alter reality. But on the other side strong faith makes us impregnable.

Well I really enjoyed my first Marc Horn book especially as he reminds me of Michael Marshall with a similar imagination. I love the characters as they seem to ring true, well to me anyway! I must know a lot of weird people, then again what is normal?
I found myself reading this everyday so it must be quite entertaining and attention holding which is how I judge my books.
I have read a few books on Quantum Physics (albeit basic, really basic ones) and that takes some doing but I found the idea feasible as it's a well know fact that the more intelligent a person is then the less likely they are to have any kind of 'belief' so all in all a good read in my eyes!
Looking forward to the next one!

A brilliant idea for a book! And carried out pretty well, with great characters and a compelling storyline.
Quite a scary thought, though.
Great for anyone who loves scifi or dystopian.

This "complete 1st season" of Timer contains 6 episodes the author calls novellas. This is a misleading label because I wouldn't advise to read only one of them. As I understand it, this is the first novel in a series.
It is a thoughful, gripping, cruel description of a world where everybody has to live with their visible timer to tell them how many years they have still to live. And there is a serial killer who's killing those who haven't got much time left.
Episode 1
It's an interesting scenario: Do we really want to know how long we are going to live? A philosophic issue combined with the crimes of an ominous serial killer. What's the connection?
Episode 2

Episode 3
The suspense increases and it made me look up the double slit experiment on wikipedia - and I never ever have been interested in quantum physics nor am I able to understand it. The bottom line here: our expectations alter reality. But on the other side strong faith makes us impregnable.
Episode 4
Now things get really graphic and thrilling. People are dying and nothing seems to stop the killer. The philosophical questions have got no answers but have to step back in favour of action.
Episode 5
It's difficult to write something without giving away too much. The story is shifting from philosophy to politics and there are some unexpected twists.
Episode 6
It's not really the end, that was to be expected. But I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed by the motivation behind all this killing and the timers. Also the Frankenstein-ish way this serial is to be continued doesn't really fit the deep thoughtfulness of the earlier episodes.

Are British cops really like that?

I love London. It is one of my favorite cities. The "battle" between quantum mechanics and religion didn't bother me--though it may bother some. Oddly enough, those who study physics are more likely to be religious than those who study other branches of the natural sciences. What did bother me was the way the metropolitan police were portrayed. Surely all Detective Inspectors aren't obsessed with "shagging" to the extent that the leading character in this book was. It seems as if modern authors seem to believe that realism is created by including as many "F" words on the page as they can. Perhaps I travel in different circles, but I never heard that language in the pubs I visited, most of which were anything but posh. Perhaps I am too naive, but I would recommend the author tone things down a bit if he decides to continue the series.

Great book! One of the very few novels where I really didn’t have an idea what was going to come next. Interesting storyline, solid character building, the occasional bit of humor. And the ending has me really looking forward to the next one!

Gripping read

Thought provoking novel with many twists and turns. Stewart is an unlikely hero who will never give up. He overcomes many hurdles but the unforseen ending leaves him with many more to come.
