When an EMP plunges Charleston into silence, paramedic Lisa fights to save lives as the city unravels. With Dylan at her side, every step toward her family’s farm means facing looters, violence, and impossible choices. Survival demands more than skill, it demands sacrifice.
The Collapse Code is an exciting, fast-paced series with plenty of twists, suspense, and memorable characters. The story kept me turning the pages, even if the pacing occasionally slowed. A fun, imaginative read that’s hard to put down and well worth the journey.
The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that there are a few plot points that require suspending disbelief, and at times the pacing can feel uneven. Even so, the overall story is imaginative and compelling enough that I was happy to overlook those minor issues.
Totally unrealistic can not stand the main character. She starts off as a compassionate person but when circumstances show that compassion is misplaced under the circumstances she refuses to adjust and endangers everyone.
