BURNING LAPS: In a World of Speed, Some Collisions Are Personal
She left to save his future.
He never understood why.
Elara Thorne had a plan—until one decision shattered everything. Walking away from Nico Ricci the night before his Formula 1 debut was never meant to be permanent. It was meant to protect him.
Nico didn’t see it that way.
Five years later, he’s no longer the rising driver with everything to prove—he’s a World Champion with nothing left to lose. And the last person he expects to walk back into his life is the one who disappeared without explanation… now standing in his garage as his new lead engineer.
Forced to work side by side in the unforgiving world of Formula 1, where every millisecond matters and every mistake costs everything, Elara and Nico must navigate more than just a broken car. Old wounds resurface. Unspoken truths linger between them. And the line between professional distance and something far more dangerous begins to blur.
Because in a sport defined by control, precision, and speed…
the most unpredictable variable is still the human heart.
A gripping, slow-burn romance set in the high-stakes world of Formula 1, BURNING LAPS is a story about ambition, sacrifice, and the kind of love that refuses to stay in the past.
