CIA operative Titus Ray accepts an off-the-books assignment in Panama. His contact tells him there’s sufficient intel, reliable sources, and a legitimate objective.
Not true. The intel isn’t sufficient, the sources aren’t reliable, and the objective isn’t legitimate.
The intel isn’t sufficient . . . Before leaving for Panama, Titus is given a flash drive—obtained from a Chinese defector—which contains all the intelligence he’ll need to complete the mission. It’s a lie. He was never told about the presence of a Chinese research facility near the Panama Canal’s entrance.
The sources aren’t reliable . . . When Titus arrives in Panama City, he has the names of two individuals who are willing to help him achieve the mission—an Agency operative and a Panamanian consular affairs officer. It’s a lie. Only one of them can be trusted.
The objective isn’t legitimate . . . When Titus is briefed on the assignment, the former DDO tells him the mission’s objective is legitimate—uncover a traitor inside the American Embassy and verify that a Panamanian government official is working with the Chinese. It’s a lie. The real objective is to make the former DDO look good in the eyes of the Agency’s leadership.
Despite the lies, Titus and his team are determined to complete the mission . . . But when a member of his team is wounded, and the secret police are closing in, Titus does what he does best—he relies on his faith, his training, and his God-given instincts to finish the mission and bring the truth to light.
Lies have consequences . . . When Titus is finally able to confront the deceiver, he lets him know that lies have consequences, and while Titus doesn’t deliver the consequences personally, he takes satisfaction in knowing they were delivered, and they were delivered swiftly.

Luana Ehrlich is a USA Today bestselling author, known for her award-winning Titus Ray Thrillers, Mylas Grey Mysteries, and Silas McKay Suspense. Her novels are clean reads with intriguing plots, fascinating characters, jaw-dropping twists, and occasional touches of humor and heart-warming romance.
Although she developed her passion for spy thrillers and mystery novels at an early age, she didn’t write her first novel until her husband retired from the ministry. Now, she writes from an undisclosed location, trying to avoid the torture of mundane housework, grocery shopping, and golf stories. However, she occasionally comes out of hiding to visit with her two grandsons or to enjoy a Starbucks caramel macchiato.
Luana and her husband, former missionaries to Costa Rica and Venezuela, are now residents of Norman, Oklahoma. Email her at author@luanaehrlich.com. She loves to hear from her readers!!
Every time I read a new Titus Ray book I think it’s the best one yet. Titus, Nikki and Eleanor are visiting Titus’ family for Thanksgiving when he notices he is being watched. Jack Winters, a former level one CIA operative has been sent by Former DDO Robert Ira (yes the guy responsible for getting all of Titus’ network in Iran killed) to ask him to take on an off the books mission for him in Panama. Robert has a flash drive he received from a Chinese defector that he believes is the reason someone tried to kill him. He wants Titus to go to Panama to verify the information on the flash drive and determine if drugs are being moved through Panama for the Chinese and whether the Chinese are paying an official at the US Consulate to get Chinese students into the US in an effort to influence students in the US. Titus, Ben Mitchell, Jack Winters, Douglas Carlton and Olivia McConnell are off to Panama City on the mission. As with all of Luana Ehrlich’s books there is always a thrilling ride and thankfully never an end.
As usual, Luana Ehrlich has crafted a fast-paced thriller. For a change, this mission is not being directed by the CIA, but privately, although most of the protagonists are CIA members on vacation. The story begins with a flash drive that should have been turned over to the CIA but wasn't, and Titus Ray and the others are put into danger, one member of the team is shot and badly injured, the answers to the puzzle are found, and all turns out well in the end. Most of the story takes place in Panama and is based on a matter of US security, as Communist China influences the nation of Panama and the Panama Canal, originally built by the USA.
Titus finds himself in a very unexpected situation. He's approached by an unlikely person from his past and asked to handle a mission outside of his agency boundaries. As usual, he must assess each person involved in the job, and ascertain their true motives. He again proves himself to be attentive and intuitive, and stays true to his values and his faith. There are lots of plot twists and subplots. Enough to keep you turning the pages even as your timers are going off (as I discovered). But, no smoke alarms were set off luckily. I loved this book!
I am always waiting for the next book in the different series Luana (I hope it's OK I call you Luana) writes. I've never been disappointed. This book continues that track record. Three Good Lies starts out quick and picks up speed. I love the characters and how they grow and change. I was especially glad to see Olivia's change. The intrigue is high in this story. Surprises abound. And Titus Ray comes through again. If you follow this series, you don't want to miss this installment. Great job, Luana!
What a riveting, well-crafted thriller Luana Ehrlich wrote. Titus accepts a mission not related to the agency during the holiday. As usual, he takes into consideration the information given to him, must ascertain all the people involved, and determine who is telling the truth and who's lying. Three Good Lies takes place in Panama and has twists and turns and danger on this mission while Titus relies on God. Great read.
Yes, another great novel from Luana Ehrlich ..... 5 stars again ... Great reading, well written, attention grabbing story of Titus and his associates. Good clean story with none of the unnecessary profanity most writers seem to think is necessary these days .... I'm always anxious for her next book to come available.
I love the degree of detail L. Ehrlich provides for her readers and how she brings the everyday things life presents into her stories to reveal her characters quirks and how those are able to still create the necessary teamwork for successful outcomes during covert operations
This book starts out a bit slower than some Titus Ray books, but when I got to the last half of the book, I didn't want to put it down! Ehrlich has written another riveting story with great characters, subtle humor, and insights on living for Christ in situations that are very challenging.
Another fascinating Titus Ray thriller! A trip to Panama to prove the Chinese moves to control the canal, as well as their connections to traffic drugs and dissidents to the USA, make this a realistic timely novel.
Luana Ehrlich's latest work continues to showcase her exceptional storytelling skills, delivering a gripping narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats with its masterful suspense and engaging plot.
Another thrilling novel I wasn’t able to put down! A successful assignment to Panama, a new relationship for Olivia, a horse for Eleanore and a warm and loving homecoming. What could be better than that? The testimony of our Lord told throughout the story. Thrilling!
Being from Norman, OK....I always love Titus' descriptions/references to his home, etc. Yes, he's a fictional character but it almost makes him feel like a neighbor! That's just how good this author is!!
I was really engrossed in this book! The plot was definitely something that could have come right out of the headlines. The end has me wondering what's coming next. I can hardly wait to find out.
I love Luana Ehrlich's Titus Ray series. She has done an excellent job in her character development throughout these books. I thoroughly enjoyed this new Titus Ray book and I highly recommend it.
Luana Ehrlich is a master when it comes to writing! I tend to drop everything when she releases a new book. Three Good Lies with my favorite Titus Ray agent doesn’t disappoint! I enjoy the characters I have grown to know and Titus coming to know Jesus is wonderful.
