exciting, suspenseful!
This is a great continuation of the series. Lana is trying to move on with her life, but there is someone who is going to throw her a curveball. Although she is targeted by someone, it is not who you will think. Also, towards the end of the book, there is a huge shock and surprise! This will have you immediately grabbing the third book in the series..

I love mystery/thrillers. I don't like reading books with bad language. My dilemma is finding good, exciting books that don't have bad language or sexual situations in them. This author gives me that! Spine tingling situations without the ugly stuff. If you are a Christian, or just don't like to have to gloss over the bad stuff, this author is for you. Deadly Devotion is the second book in the series, and the first was just as good! I can't wait to start the third book in the series!!

Excellent !
A nice balance between thriller, romance and Christian . I like that consequences for past mistakes, or sins really, still have to be faced, even if they have been forgiven. Best of all is the reality that obedience to God's prompting brings peace and true freedom. All this without being preachy!

More than five stars!!!
I had not seen this coming! US Marshal Milana Tanner is back and the killer is desperate…and determined! It’s a gripping story of danger, faith, and the power of truth.

This was an exciting and touching story, mostly about US Marshal Lana, her friend Paul, and an elusive stalker and murderer. The story was great through to the end, but there was a theme introduced in the final pages that seemed out of place, though it is probably necessary to set up the next story in the series.

Even better than the first in the series. I will continue to read Candle Sutton books! I started the series to fill time while I waited for another series I ordered to arrive, but I look forward tow what will happen next in the Deadly Alliance books!

If you are looking for a great balance of action, plot twists, excellent characters and faith, this second book in the series knocks it out of the park! The insight into both Lana & Paul took me by surprise at how well developed the author crafted them. A must read in my book!

Riveting!
It was a great way to spend some time doing what I love, reading. Suspense writers who are able to make you feel involved in the lives of their characters and the story, without the bad language, violence, and sexual innuendo, have a talent I admire. Thanks to Candle Sutton for a good read. Looking forward to the next book.
