May 3, 2026I enjoyed this fast paced fourth installment of this MG Fantasy Horror series, full with expanded character development, world building and lore, and plenty of surprises! The mental health messages were great as well! The climax was the most epic and dramatic yet! Looking forward to the final version!

Another imaginative and highly engaging installment from X Zombie! This series is truly a gem. I've loved joining Tristan, Zombia, Tibia, and their friends on their adventures to save their homeland from the zombie apocalypse. And this time, it was even sweeter to join Marcus on his road to healing and recovery. The focus on mental health was handled with care and never felt forced. I loved how friendship was woven in between characters, even with the villain, Malice. The bonds connecting these wizards pull on the heartstrings, and it's what truly stands out in this book---the characters opening their hearts to those who had wronged them in the past. This is a story of second chances, and one must be brave to fight for what's right, but also to forgive.
I can't wait to join Tristan and his friends on another adventure. There's more to come!
