This was another great instalment of the post-apocalyptic thriller that sees different groups desperately trying to fulfil their objectives.

I liked the way each group related, each with distinctive personalities, strengths and weaknesses. They may be young but are definitely tough. Enemies surround them, but are enemies within, too?

Action-packed, this story has tension and suspense with characters that suited the plot. There are some horrendous scenes, which demonstrated the cruelty of the regime.

I can only guess at what will happen next.

Engaging throughout.

Highly recommended.

We are on book 23 of this survival post apocalyptic thriller, and the tension is running high, as all the survivors are making a dash to get out of the steel city. Our friends are all over the place, Eleanor is trying to get back into the silo to free Matthew who she had lost contact with so didn't know if he was still alive. Lianna was still bradcasting her countdown from twenty six and she was eliminating all those targetted. Olga and Gracie were traveling onward in their tank with Kira and Rufus, and ended up burying Kira who they thought had been the bravest of them all. Hawk meanwhile being the only immune, was moving amongst the diseased doing what needed to be done. Whilst William, Matilda, Star and many of the ex-guards were also traveling together, however somehow someone decided Star was not to be trusted, and Olga swore she would get to William's group to warn them before he would get them killed. The machine's were uprising, and Eleanor in her bid to free Matthew missed making sure they would be stopped, not once but twice and it seems as though her inability to focus on saving their mission rather than one person would come back to bite them all in the arse! So much going on in this book, and it seems the tension will just keep on rising until the steel bitch is decapacitated! Can they bring down the tyrant?

Another great book

This series is not what I usually read. I almost quit, but I'm so glad I kept reading. Contingency does not disappoint. I just wish I didn't have to wait for the rest.
