Despite this being a volume that’s still very focused on the career choices of the characters, I have to say that I still really enjoyed it. I feel like this volume found a nice balance between this side of the story and the character dynamics.
First of all, we have to mention Saku and his choice to become a teacher cause that’s literally so perfect. I knew he was gonna go with this choice and also that he would try to get to T-University. Oh, and I love that Usami wants to be a preschool teacher. I knew that too, honestly. Especially with the emphasis on his being a good older brother.
I also like how Rintaro decides to start working after he finishes school. The decision makes sense for him and I love how supportive his family and friends are. Also I fucking knew he was gonna go and ask if he could work at the place where his idol works. Hope everything works out for him now.
Oh and we also need to appreciate the scene in Kaoruko’s room. First the hug, then the kiss on the cheek and then the actual kiss. It was so good and I love how it was portrayed in the panels. I need moreeeeee.
Okay, anyway, this is a good volume. It’s still too career-focused for me personally so I can’t really say it’s one of the best volumes of the series. I’m giving it 4 stars though cause I really enjoyed it.

[3.75] It didn’t quite hit the same high as the last volume but it still had enough heart and charm to keep me invested. I really enjoyed seeing Kaoruko’s birthday and their first anniversary, it was sweet without feeling over the top and it gave me that warm, familiar feeling this series is so good at. What stood out the most, though, was how we finally got to see the boys figuring out their post-graduation plans. It felt satisfying to watch them come to their own decisions.
mikami the woman you that you ARE! the goku of female mangaka
if mikami has a million fans, then i am one of them. if mikami has ten fans, then i am one of them. if mikami has only one fan then that is me. if mikami has no fans, then that means i am no longer on earth. if the world is against mikami, then i am against the world.
now you have witnessed my daily prayer ( ◡̀ ᴗ ◡́)و in mikami we trust ♱
Their kiss in this volume might be my favorite one 🤭, so daring of them 😏.
What's wrong with Kaoruko's snobby teacher ?, I hate her already 😒.
Why do I have the feeling that Rintaro won't be able to continue in the path of making cakes. They keep mentioning how he wants to protect his hands and I don't know ?! something might happen but I'm not sure, it's just a theory 😅.
Still not quite feeling the career arc — it seems to be hitting much of the same beats as before and while I like how realistic and down-to-earth it is, it just seems very slow and uneventful.
im so proud of EVERYONE in this series i feel like a supportive mom omg. like YES rintaro you found your calling and its PERFECT. saku being a teacher and USAGI BEING A PRESCHOOL TEACHER OH MY GOD. all the boys hanging out and rintaro trying to work under the same man who (not to sound dramatic) SAVED HIS LIFE??? this is just too peak omg
